Its also and sometimes more important to look at the journey. There were other prostidontist to choose from. Some were impressive, some less so. After x rays and exams, most promised me the world regardless of the fact that I knew the severity of the condition of my teeth Then, there is REVIVE !! No doubt in my mind...This place is a gem ! From the minute you walk in , you feel welcomed by the front desk staff. Time after time. During my first visit I was introduced to Nic the coordinator who explained the whole process so eloquently and introduced me to the state of the art tech they use. Dr. K who is professional, knowledgeable, highly skilled and just plain nice. The 2 surgeons Dr. B who explained every detail of the surgery ahead and was extremely patient answering my myriad questions. Dr. Farley, who is thorough and upfront about the challenges ahead. So knowledgeable, friendly, reassuring and kind. Even gave me his personal cell # if I needed him after hours. And then there is the office manager Luraine, From the get go Lurraine demonstrated a can do attitude, patience, attention to detail especially with dates, never fails to return a phone call and no matter how busy...she is always responsive and willing to help. My grandparent recently got their teeth done and has had numerous issues including nerve pain, cracking of the denture, infection and more. They have been without permanent teeth for over a year and there seems to be no remorse from this place. Dr Howell and team designed and crafted my final teeth this past week. I couldn't be more pleased with the final result. My new smile and new bite is much better than my original teeth years ago. My general dentist Dr. Dallas Woolf recommended I see Dr. Howell and I am very thankful. I had implants and then a denture . It doesn't seem to fit well. I have had sores in my mouth (canker sores). My jaw is also sore. It has ached. My former dentist seemed to ignore my complaints. I am worried about my gums, the canker sores and my bite. I believe that Dr. Howell gave me some constructive comments. I am trying to follow through. I am now seeing Dr. Peterson. They are horrible at making dentures. Mine hasn't fit right off the bat. I wish I had demanded that they make me a new one.

I should of left when the receptionist Christie was very short and snappy with me. After filling out the paper work I was asked to have my picture taken she asked me to take off my mask and I said I didn't want too she said never mind and walked away. When then started to do my scan they didn't even have a protection vest. I said I wasn't comfortable without a vest and said I was going to cancel my consultation. The Dr came in and asked what was wrong. I told him this appointment was not going well from the moment I arrived, told him how awful the receptionist was. He told me they were short handed due to so many employees out with covid. I think that should of been disclosed right from the beginning. During our conversation I asked what kind of material I had to choose from and he wouldn't tell me until I got up to leave. Before I left I asked to have my paper work back the receptionist said "let me get it I put it in the pile to be shredded. So apparently she had decided I wasn't going to be a patient. Horrible uncomfortable treatment from the moment I arrived. You would think if I was going to spend $40,000 + they would be a little kinder and professional. I wouldn't recommend anyone waste their time or money at this office. Very old equipment and old building full of rude mean people. read more

I went into the office to get a quote on having upper and 4 in one done and Elodia told me she would call me back that they would try and work with me to weeks later I still have not gotten a call back the good thing is my mother let me the $24,000 that they were going to charge me to do my fourall in one the doctor was great Elodia never return phone calls never returned emails I will not go back to this Dentist nor will I recommend them . read more

How do you thank someone who has changed your life? From the moment I walked into Dr. Howell's office, him and his entire staff treated me with care and respect. Since I was 18, I had had several dental procedures/restorations from Canada, the US, and more recently Mexico. I thought I could save some money by going to Mexico. You get what you pay for - They made my smile worse! I had never been to a prosthodontist. Too many dentists call themselves "cosmetic" dentists but they do not have the specialized training that a prosthodontist has. Not one of them ever said to me, that my case was too complicated and that I should see a specialist. They were all too happy to take my money and deliver less than satisfactory results. At 65 years old, I thought that I was finally going to have to accept removable dentures. Dr. Howell realized and took the challenge of working with my existing implants even tough they had not been placed in the correct position. He made the most beautiful fixed bridge for me , which corrected every mistake that had been made by bad dentistry. For the first time in my life , I am not hiding my smile! I went to Advanced Dental looking for a solution to my denture problems. The answer was an All on 4 procedure which I was considering but the expense of the procedure was prohibitive and something I needed to work out. I told Elodia, the office manager, I needed to think about it. She insisted on setting an appointment and I said no I was still thinking it over. She wasn't listening to me and set an appointment without my consent. Basically this was a high pressure sales technique for this procedure. She also billed my insurance company for charges that were never discussed and without my knowledge. I found out later when I received my EOB. I didn't accept the appointment and forgot all about it. A couple of weeks later I was able to put everything together and I decided to go ahead with the All on 4 and made appointments with both Dr Howell's office and Dr Wilson's office. I made these appointments and I kept them all. Dr Wilson's office called to verify one of my appointments and stressed that I needed to keep my appointments. It was in a very odd way that she phrased the statement so I asked her if I had ever missed an appointment or was late. She admitted that I had not ever missed an appointment or had ever been late but added Elodia had contacted her and said derogatory things about me. Now this does not amount to a HIPAA violation, more like a violation of my trust. Much to my surprise to find out that Elodia was talking negatively and untruthfully about me behind my back. Dr Wilson's office person apologized to me about accusing me of missing appointments when I had in fact missed none that I had set. This was not my last run in with Elodia. Elodia started to refuse to make me appointments when I was available, which is after work and I wanted appointments made around 4-4:30. I did not think this was unreasonable. Elodia wanted me to take off work so she could make appointments when it was convenient for her. My guess is she wanted to leave earlier in the day. It seems that every time I went to see Dr Howell I had a run in with Elodia. The next run in was when I wanted some additional work for a partial on the lower jaw. Elodia discussed the charges and told me it needed to be paid up front and they would not accept my insurance. The office would give me an invoice and I was to bill my insurance myself. The price for the partial was high so I went to another Dentist to have the additional work done who would also bill my insurance for me. This dentist was able to work with Dr Howell directly and I was able to finish the dental work I needed. The last time I went for a cleaning, which normally costs $133.00, the front desk said I owed $277.00 with no explanation. I asked why and she said I needed to speak with Elodia. She ushered me to a small closet like room and told me to wait for Elodia. I waited for a bit and she never came so I went back out to the front desk and said let me pay for my cleaning and have the Dr call me. No one called. A week later I recieved a notice that a certified letter had been sent from Advanced Dental. In this letter Dr Howell wrote to let me know that it would be best if my dental needs were met elsewhere and that I should seek another dental office for any future work. My review of this office is let others know that you may be charged for services without your knowledge and no explanation will be given, so check with your insurance and make sure all charges are valid. If you question the charges you may be told to seek another dentist. High pressure sales techniques may be used. You may be talked about behind your back to other offices that you need to interact with. You may be harassed about appointments you did not make and forced to make appointments that are not convenient to your schedule. Then you may be notified that they want payment up front, and the office may refuse to bill your insurance and tell you to do it yourself. My general feeling is that now they have my money there're finished with me. In my opinion you can do better elsewhere. read more

My Dental Journey, I had my upper teeth pulled. I was referred to Dr. Kent J. Howell for Advanced Dental Prosthetics. After visiting with him there was no way I could afford what it cost for the work I needed done. I went to several other dentists hoping for an alternative solution. I ended up having dentures. I struggled and struggled with dentures. I tried several different times to make them work even with different dentists. I went to dentists in Mesa, Scottsdale and Chandler AZ with references for these dentists. I started with two different dentists in Scottsdale. I decided on the one I wanted to work with. After the initial exam and talking with him, I decided to have him do my dental work. I made an appointment to start procedures. When I got to my appointment they informed me the dentist left town without even informing his staff. They said they would help me find a new dentist that could do the work I needed. That they did. I worked with a wonderful dentist in Chandler. This dentist was willing to make me a new denture to use until I could afford implants and a prosthetic. I was elated. This dentist was caring and professional and wonderful to work with. I thought I had hit the jack pot after what I had been through. Unbelievable to me I was notified and my appointments cancelled. The dentist had a new baby and was not planning on returning back to work as she had planned. After several hundred dollars spent I went in desperation back to Dr. Howell. I followed his advise and started the procedures for my new look and beautiful functioning teeth. Every visit to see him I counted my blessings I chose to go back to Dr. Howell with the professionalism he handled my case. I am excited with my new functioning and beautiful teeth. My regret is not staying with him in the first place. I would of saved a lot of money and aggravation. It is so wonderful to be able to eat whatever I want just like having my own teeth.
