We recently relocated to the Franklin area and when I took my first class at The Hot Room, I was "home" - it felt so great to be back and the community is so welcoming. Although my schedule changed and I haven't been able to enjoy it as much as I had hoped, I can't imagine going anywhere else to practice hot yoga or hot pilates.

I was in the pouting stage; no place could ever be as good as my home studio. Why did it close??? Well, the moment I walked in to Epic Yoga, it felt like home. It's not one of those places you sit in a silent meditative state. You are greeted warmly, you are made to feel at "home". The instructors are knowledgeable, warm, friendly and caring. Each class/instructor is different bringing their own personalities to the practice. I am so thankful I have found Epic....it's now my home.

I was blown away by the skill & support of the Align 60 instructor, Leah, she was by far one of the best courses I have ever taken. I felt so connected to my body and aware of parts of myself I ignore so often. I really loved the gentleness and invitations to modify as needed, as well as, having a in classroom support to the instructor to come around and assist with posture, I feel so bad but I have forgotten her name. It was my first time using straps, but thankfully I was supported. All the other classmates were kind and there was enough space for everyone, even though it was pretty full. I failed to take any pictures as I wanted to be present to the moment, but one beautiful offering is a tea station near the restrooms, cubbies to place items, and a lavender cool face towel at the end of class. What a beautiful and inviting experience, excited to return!

It isn't, but all barre studios are a little different, and I've come to really enjoy the classes at Neighborhood Barre! I've tried several of their classes - Barre HIIT is my favorite right now because I feel the effects of the workout for days! It's a good workout. The instructors are really great, helpful, nice. The music played is really fun and helps me focus on the workout. Some classes are more full than others, but it's not jam packed of people. They offer a trial two weeks for $29 - and I highly recommend you check that out if you're interested in barre or NB in particular. You can also sign up for drop in classes on the Mindbody app (which I love). There's ample parking in the area even if the area can be kind of a pain to drive around (I always regret not leaving 10 minutes before I think I should if the class I'm aiming to get to is between 4 and 6, because I will inevitably hit every red light on Franklin Road for the whole drive). All in all, it's a really good studio. The classes are all different, so check them out until you find the one you love!

Owner Julee Jones is extremely knowledgeable and has been trained by one of the best Pilates instructors in the country. She also works with cancer patients through her private sessions as a certified cancer exercise specialist. Additionally The Pilates Place offers barre and yoga group classes.
