It might just be my standards, but I think it shows professionalism and seriousness when the workspace is clean, clear and ready for business when your client arrives, especially to make a good first impression. Then, during the facial, while the mask was setting, she made a personal phone call where we could overhear her discussion. The extractions were quite painful and my daughter winced and moved her feet quite a bit to get through it. The appointment itself was close to 2 hours long. Once again, Denyse was friendly and I like her integrative approach but overall we do not recommend nor will be returning.

One reservation was for someone who is on Yelp Elite, and the other person is heading back to the East Coast on Jan 2nd. Also, the refund of the two $25 deposits would take 5-7 business days. I ended up disputing the charges with my credit card company and got the money back immediately. Moral of the story is eventhough you schedule your appointment window, pay for the deposits and put in requests to take time off from work, you're still at the mercy of the business owner and when she decides to work.

Well, we never heard back. This was something that we were both looking forward to and for whatever reason, other than what was communicated, we weren't able to enjoy our Christmas gifts.

This brand new salon is an absolute gem. Every stylist is respected and established in the community. Every stylist is happy to see you. The atmosphere is lovely, sip a complimentary beverage while you lose yourself in pamper land (they also have great magazines.) Hailey is my girl and she is beyond belief. It is hard for me to keep still for very long which she intuitively caught on to right away. She knows how to keep me amused and happy while she transforms my hair into an INSANE shade of blonde. I just had my facial here with the Esthetician Amber and she was amazing. I was a little worried because my skin has changed drastically after having twins. It has become super sensitive but Amber completely took care of me. I had no reactions what so ever and she knew just what my dry/sensitive skin needed. Today was was my first visit since reconnecting with my stylist Melissa Balistreri, following a year long break after moving away from the area. Not only was I thrilled to have my hair cut to perfection again, but the salon is amazing!!! So since I saw the door open and it being around 5:30pm, I asked if they could take me right then, stylist Melissa said 'sure!'. Yay, I was excited! It was my first time at DK Salon. Sure won't be my last! Love that they are local! I explained to Melissa what I was trying to accomplish with the highlights. We decided to go with the blue highlights since the salon was out of purple color. Great! I love not having too many choices! My hair turned out soooo cool! Its like bold blue near roots and kinda darker blueish purple near ends. I'm growing out my hair from a VERY short A-line cut so I really didn't want Melissa to cut much off. She did what she could to freshen me up. I am very pleased with the results for color, cut, service, and how I was treated. I was also informed as how to take care of my hair now that I had color in it. Both Melissa and Karen were very personable and helpful and very much professional. Prices are reasonable and comparable. Salon was neat and clean. No nasty hair balls laying tucked behind a chair or desk. Plenty of hair products to choose from. Nice selection of magazines to look through while waiting for your color to set. I will be back to DK Salon in the future.

Aly did an amazing color and cut for me! She helped me figure out what would look good with the ideas I had and quite frankly it was better than I had hoped for! I am so happy I found her here on yelp and highly recommend her!

She doesn't rush and gives extra rubs. It feels sooooo good!! I keep coming back because it's so good! And the natural curls and how smoothe she's able to get my frizzy hair is amazing.
