this very basic situation cost me $60. I've been going here for a while and things have decreased since the start. This took the lady 2.5 hours and cost me $61.50 after taxes i suppose. There are a million nail salons in the college park/laurel area... i will explore more of those options.

Name Of Service : Acrylic Full Set Shape: Square Color : DND Clear Pink

I Came Here This Afternoon To Get A Full Set Of Acrylic Nails ($45 & Up). I Did A Walk-In & I Was Serviced Within 7-10 Minutes. The Nail Tech's Name Was Kelly & She Was Super Friendly , Held Great Conversation, & Not To Mention Did Great Work. My Nails Were Done Within 30-45 Minutes Which Is Very Impressive. I Asked For A Short, Natural Looking Set & That's What I Got. i Love My Nails & I Will Be Returning.

Highly upset and dissapointed! Asked for a gel manicure and pedicure and recieved a sloppy and uneven mess. When I brought up the concern, the blame was placed on me (as if I was the nail tech!). One of the techs stated my color shade was too light to get an even coat, but I got the same color on my toes and... its even! I had gone to the establishment before to get a full get set and had no issues. This time eveything was different. My nail tech was distracted the entire time talking and looking everywhere except at the work she was doing. Overall, the service was very rushed through. At one point, the person next to me had to remind the other nail tech to put a top coat on! The unexplained upcharge didn't make the situation any better. Seems like they put much more care and effort into acrylics. Do not go if you are looking for a simple mani/pedi. There's many other nail shops in the area, look into those. I know I will.

They were accommodating and did exactly what I wanted. Reasonable price as well. Recommend!

I don't know my nail tech's name but she was very sweet and gentle with my hands. I got a gel manicure ($27)and 10% off as a UMD student. I kinda wish I had a tech who could do more of a design but I don't really mind too much because the pricing was still very affordable compared to other places. Service was also fast and the other staff were friendly as well. I will definitely return here when I want my nails done again!

I was hesitant to come here because of bad reviews but it was worth it! Even when it was busy I was given service after a few minutes. A boy did my nails and he was very punctual and did exactly what I wanted. :)

Not crazy expensive, friendly service and they do a great job! Will definitely be coming here more in the future and I definitely recommend!

Sunday morning around noon - empty! I walk in an I am immediately greeted. My tech was Jennifer on hands and another on feet but I did not get his name. They took great care making sure my needs were meet. I had read terrible reviews so I was apprehensive. Overall, I am satisfied with nails and feet. Concerns - They kept asking were I went before and how I liked it. Also were I live. They also questioned what I had done on my nails because it was hard to get off. I do dipping powder but she insisted on using the UV light for shine and durability. We will see Lastly, no one offered me water until two new clients came in.

I'm thinking maybe people get this salon mixed up with the other one... I have a bloody cuticle from excessive filing, and after asking for simple corrections to my nail shape multiple times I felt like I was being a little nit-picky. I thought that the process of painting would be much better, but I was wrong! My nails are all different shapes, the powder is lumpy, the clear coat was out of date or bad - to the point that it was gloppy enough that the process almost had to start over! From my understanding, the owner of the shop insists upon expressing any problems you have with the process, but there were so many it just became useless to point them all out. I mustn't be the only one. While I was in, another young woman came in complaining that her pedicure had lasted A DAY! $50 dollars later, I now find myself in desperate need of a nail file so I can fix this shoddy job myself. Very disappointing.

They were all so friendly as soon as I walked in. I received exactly what I wanted and they were great conversationalists. It was pouring rain and the owner, Jennifer, even offered me a bag to hold over my head as I ran to my car! My nails turned out great! They're under new management. Not sure who was there before, but the new people Ken and Jennifer are wonderful.

The few times I've gone here I've made a point of making sure Van was available or waiting until she was. Despite her exceptional skills, always delivering perfect shaped and designed nails, she makes the experience even better with great conversation and an actual interest in what you're getting done that day. I'm always surprised that whenever i go on she remembers all the details of what we had discussed the last time, given the number of customers she must have to keep track of. If you're very particular about your nails and eyebrows like i am... Van's your girl! The salon has an amazing and welcoming environment, but Van makes it even more relaxing and exciting. Honestly if she ever left the salon I'd have to follow her.

After she cut them and soak. You can see the thickness and that the thumb was already coming off after a couple hours.

If I can give a lower rating I would. I went to this nail salon to get a Full set manicure and pedicure for my upcoming graduation because my local nail shop was full. PEDICURE: wasn't the neatest (nail polish on my skin & cuticles) but I did not complain, just asked for my skin to be cleaned of nail polish. FULL SET: The lady who did it (also the ONLY person who does acrylic in the whole shop) was talking to other people the entire time while doing my nails, on the phone, getting up, just distracted. I tried to describe the color I wanted and she told me that she's been doing nails for a long time and the color she picked would do. I asked for an oval shape and it was not smooth, some of the shapes were uneven. My nail wasn't bounded properly to the acrylic and the nails were THICK. I told her I didn't like it and she yelled saying "why are you so picky?" (It's my money!!) after I refused not to pay for poor service and disrespect she then yelled at me in front of other customers, gave me a bowl of acetone, cut my nails, and told me to take them off and leave. The worst. Will never return.

    Aaaah decisions, decisions!

So I went ahead and took advantage of the hot stone pedicure Groupon despite the somewhat mixed reviews I saw on here from fellow Yelpers. I will say after my visit I can perhaps see why there is such a wide variety of feelings on this particular spot. For starters, this is NOT the place to go if you want a fancy spa experience. It is pretty lacking in decor, but that doesn't necessarily bother me as long as everything else seems to be clean, which in this case it was. I went during lunchtime on a Monday, which was a breeze and was able to get service immediately. It was quiet not just because there were no other customers, but because the other women working there were also pretty quiet in general. Although they weren't super friendly, they also weren't rude and didn't treat me any worse when I stated I had a Groupon to use. I liked that my lady asked me questions on what I preferred as far as file vs clip and round shape vs square. She took her time and was pretty particular with her work which I appreciated. My only gripe is the water I soaked my feet in prior to the pedicure was lukewarm almost cold but when she rinsed my legs and feet off with the detachable jet that water was hot almost had be sweating (which I woulda preferred from the get go!). Ok selection of OPI/Essie (they had one of my newfound fave shades, score!) and the actual hot stone massage was quite pleasurable. Overall I was satisfied with the Salon for the deal I received. I will be stalking Groupon for this deal to reappear. Looking at their price list they seem to have pretty good rates, so if I was in the area and needed a quick no frills pedi, I would drop on by. It has been noted that parking sucks, but hey it's College Park, parking has been like that in that particular area for awhile now.

She also worked with another manager at the store and was able to set up my next appointment with a specific tech - I believe it was Emily. Tiffany was very communicative via both text and DM on there Instagram account, which I used to schedule my next appointment. She was also there when I arrived for that appointment to ensure things went smoothly. Emily was very attentive during my service, and ultimately I was happy with this set. I did SNS and Emily finished with a gel top coat. Since I prefer to not have gel that is cured by UV, I may not return regularly. However, this salon has a huge selection of not only regular colors, but specialty colors as well, such as cat eye and jelly polishes. Jelly polishes are definitely on my list to try in the future, so I'll likely be back for that. I very much appreciate the team's outreach and support after my last review, and it's clear that they care greatly for the service they can provide their customers.

No parking in front of the nail shop and no validated parking. If you live in the building above it's great! If you're a college student and can walk it's also great! If you're not in one of those two categories... buena suerte. The nail shop itself is very clean and has the cool neon signs that are all the rage. The music consists of the top hits. During my visit I heard several Beyoncé songs. They also give you wine/sparkling wine to drink. So the vibes are all there. I got a pedicure and it was okay. I wasn't overly impressed. All things considered, it's cool but I don't see myself spinning the block (coming back).

The male nail tech seems disgruntled and is low vibrational. The last 3 times he did my nails they either chipped, smudged or 1 nail completed fell off. It's a shame because he has potential to be an excellent nail tech if he can put his ego to the side and learn how to serve his clients. After giving me a new nail set at my last fill in appointment he told me my next appointment will be a new set: I told him no way. They seem to view their clients as walking ATMs--it's an uncomfortable feeling: They constantly badger you to do new sets, gel mani-pedis or expensive "spa" pedicures even after you've told them specifically the kind of services you want/prefer--it's more "them" focused than client focused. Btw,I was never thanked for my $20-$25 tips --ever. This last appointment took the cake--nail tech dude nicked my skin with his super sharp nail tool and blamed MY skin for "growing too close to the nail". This happened after leaving me under the fan for 15 minutes while he enjoyed a phone conversation right in front of me--so I knew it was because he wasn't paying attention--he seems resentful of his customers and unhappy to do this kind of work. When I arrived for my appointment (no such thing really because they treat everyone as a walk-in) he and a young girl didn't move to seat me, I had to ask them if they were working today in order to mobilize them--mind you I was the only customer. That said, I won't be back. I'm big on customer service and positive energy and I pay well for it, but it's not to be found there.

The place is clean, relaxing, and has an impressive selection of colors. The massage chairs were so comfortable I was literally drifting off to sleep. The prices were also cheaper than other salons I've visited for the exact same services, and it wasn't overcrowded. Walking in, I was ready to give this place 5 stars. Then the service happened. I arrived at 12:30 PM and didn't leave until 4:30 PM. FOUR HOURS. For a pedicure, nail removal, full-set of new Gel-X nails (no designs and nothing fancy). I understand Gel-X removal can take some time, but my pedicure alone should not have taken over 2.5 hours. The first technician was fine until it came time to paint my toenails. The polish application was honestly terrible. My toes looked like little stubs. Of course I spoke up, and thankfully I requested Pin, who had excellent Yelp reviews. She ended up fixing the work and did a much better job. There were also some organizational issues. I wanted my eyebrows waxed, but apparently someone forgot to plug in the wax machine, so the wax was still cold and hardened. How does that happen? Another thing: if you're going to keep clients for four hours, please offer something. Water, snacks, crackers--anything! I was absolutely hangry by the end of my appointment. The only reason I was finally offered water was because I was coughing from a cold, and that was toward the very end of my service. Overall, the salon itself is beautiful and relaxing, but the actual service experience didn't match the aesthetic. If you decide to visit, I'd strongly recommend booking with Pin or the owner. They seem to be the ones ensuring the work is done correctly. Would I come back? Maybe. The potential is definitely there, but they need to tighten up the service side of things.

Eventually the woman comes back and she says "I'm sorry but the masseuse is not coming in today and there is only one person scheduled per day because summer is slow" ?????? I was just sitting there kind of dumbfounded because we didn't know she wasn't showing up before 15 minutes into my service? Mind you, I took off work to come to this so I'm not getting paid and know it's getting cancelled. So she's looking to reschedule me, and I'm like "ok well can I talk to a manager about a discount because this is kind of crazy" and she's like "yea idk maybe they can call you tomorrow". Eventually she comes back and she's like "oh one of the other ladies will come in but not till 11" so I'm like ok...and I asked for snack (bc I was planning on eating after but now it's pushed back an hour). She brings a bar and champagne which was nice, and I sit for 45 minutes waiting for the next lady. I get called back and she's asking how much pressure, I say light pressure and she's like "ok bc deep pressure we will charge you extra!" After I waited 45 minutes for an inconvenience...ok! Then, she absolutely digs into each and every muscle after i said light pressure--so I ask to lighten it up nicely and she's very nice and tries but it didn't go well. I, then, get into the shower to rinse off and I put the water all the way to hot bc I'm cold from the room---it's all the way on hot and the water is cool at best. I'm in there like shivering. I don't know what's going on today but I would implore people to find somewhere else. The employees are very sweet and kind but everything else just made it a subpar experience and for $250+ a service, things like this just should not occur in my opinion.
