Very clean, high quality products and great energy! I think this has been one of the most peaceful and calm nail service experiences I've had in college park/silver spring area. The reviews on here from years ago are misleading but they are also under new management. All that to say that I loved the energy, my builder gel manicure and gel pedicure. I have sensitive nails and Maggie was very patient and made sure I loved the work before continuing. The prices are reasonable and student-friendly which I appreciate. Although I had visited the salon before, I learned that it was now under new management. I was uncertain what type of service I would receive, but was pleasantly surprised to find exceptional service and very friendly technicians. My technician (Seynat) and the others who I watched while there, took pride in their work! They were meticulous and I could see they cared most about their client's satisfaction. My nails were shaped and polished perfectly!! I have received so many compliments. This salon is not close to my home, but I have been looking for a new salon for a while. I have now found it. So I just moved to this area a few months ago and I was in DESPERATE need of a good nail salon for my nails because my last experience at another local shop was NOT good. I'm VERY picky when it comes to my nails so when I find a good salon/tech I stick with it. So I came in for a full set and gel manicure and LET ME TELL YOU! Ms. Kelly did her thing! I was beyond pleased with my mani/pedi. She was nice, took her time and was very patient considering we had to do a major soak off of my previous set. She is very detail oriented and I was able to show her the design I wanted and she delivered!! The salon itself was very clean, everyone was nice, great location. I called this place to inquire about the current wait time as I was debating between coming here and another salon. The man who answered the phone assured me there was no current wait and to head there (I was five minutes away). Upon arrival I see that there is one person waiting and I gave the benefit of the doubt that maybe she had come in between us talking. While waiting ten minutes in, a couple comes in to be serviced man-pedis and are immediately seated. After another five minutes another woman comes in and waits to be seated. Soon after, the girl who was originally waiting is seated. Then the woman who came after me is seated. When I inquired about why I was told there was no wait and then having people who arrived after me seated before me I was told one customer had an appointment and to continue to wait. I could have continued on elsewhere since I was in a time crunch and after waiting nearly 20 minutes at that point I had to decide to get my nails done another day. I don't appreciate the man lying about the wait time just to get me in the door, servicing other customers (the couple did not have appointments) and then being rude about my inquiry. read more

Highly upset and dissapointed! Asked for a gel manicure and pedicure and recieved a sloppy and uneven mess. When I brought up the concern, the blame was placed on me (as if I was the nail tech!). One of the techs stated my color shade was too light to get an even coat, but I got the same color on my toes and... its even! I had gone to the establishment before to get a full get set and had no issues. This time eveything was different. My nail tech was distracted the entire time talking and looking everywhere except at the work she was doing. Overall, the service was very rushed through. At one point, the person next to me had to remind the other nail tech to put a top coat on! The unexplained upcharge didn't make the situation any better. Seems like they put much more care and effort into acrylics. Do not go if you are looking for a simple mani/pedi. There's many other nail shops in the area, look into those. I know I will. read more

I don't know my nail tech's name but she was very sweet and gentle with my hands. I got a gel manicure ($27)and 10% off as a UMD student. I kinda wish I had a tech who could do more of a design but I don't really mind too much because the pricing was still very affordable compared to other places. They took great care making sure my needs were meet. I had read terrible reviews so I was apprehensive. Overall, I am satisfied with nails and feet. Concerns - They kept asking were I went before and how I liked it. Also were I live. They also questioned what I had done on my nails because it was hard to get off. I'm thinking maybe people get this salon mixed up with the other one... I have a bloody cuticle from excessive filing, and after asking for simple corrections to my nail shape multiple times I felt like I was being a little nit-picky. I thought that the process of painting would be much better, but I was wrong! My nails are all different shapes, the powder is lumpy, the clear coat was out of date or bad - to the point that it was gloppy enough that the process almost had to start over! From my understanding, the owner of the shop insists upon expressing any problems you have with the process, but there were so many it just became useless to point them all out. I mustn't be the only one. While I was in, another young woman came in complaining that her pedicure had lasted A DAY! $50 dollars later, I now find myself in desperate need of a nail file so I can fix this shoddy job myself. As a Junior at UMD, I'm already used to lowering my standards and 'holding off' on treating myself on waxing, nails, or hair until I'm back in hometown Rockville. Basically, if I don't look like a wilderbeast by thanksgiving I consider it a god send. First world struggles.. I know. But let me tell you how this all changed when I found Revo nails and especially the sweetest person in the whole world, Natalie! I've been to a couple of places around college park effect I decided to take advantage of the deal they had running on Mani-pedis during the summer. ($25 for both) Just after entering the salon I knew I had found my golden ticket to paradise and a really good reason to skip Chem in the afternoons. *cough* I was extremely lucky I had met Natalie the first time I was there. If there was ever a woman that took pride in her work (to the point of being a perfectionist) and is the nicest, warmest person you've ever met.. Well it's her. I don't mean to sice but she has to know it as she already has a following. She, and the other nail techs, always take time, pride, and attention into their work. They have never failed to impress me with the standard that they have set--not for just icky college park but everywhere. The salon itself is always spotless. Modern decor and a good selection of quality nail polish (OPI, Essie) are one of the first things I look for when selecting the place. My nails always last forever which is a nod to the quality of service since I'm always working with my hands when you're in lab 12 hours a week. In my opinion, they have a wide selection in the quality brands. I'm glad they don't waste space with polish that chips in 2 days. If you're a pedi junky, you'll be in for a treat. 8 huge, comfy leather massage chairs send you into heaven and ensure you won't have to wait. I don't mean for this to start sounding like a bad porno but it's a pair of firm hands during the leg massage waiting for me almost mak me cry for joy. Wax, nails, masseuse. Get it all here. Some tip I would give is go in the weekdays if you want to get out of there fast. This salon is almost always packed since it's the best and right near S. Campus. Call ahead to schedule. If not, they're happy to take walk-ins as long as you don't mind waiting. Max parking is 1 hr so I recommend parking next to Ledo So you don't have to feed the meter right in the middle. If I can give a lower rating I would. I went to this nail salon to get a Full set manicure and pedicure for my upcoming graduation because my local nail shop was full. PEDICURE: wasn't the neatest (nail polish on my skin & cuticles) but I did not complain, just asked for my skin to be cleaned of nail polish. FULL SET: The lady who did it (also the ONLY person who does acrylic in the whole shop) was talking to other people the entire time while doing my nails, on the phone, getting up, just distracted. I tried to describe the color I wanted and she told me that she's been doing nails for a long time and the color she picked would do. I asked for an oval shape and it was not smooth, some of the shapes were uneven. My nail wasn't bounded properly to the acrylic and the nails were THICK. I told her I didn't like it and she yelled saying "why are you so picky?" (It's my money!!) after I refused not to pay for poor service and disrespect she then yelled at me in front of other customers, gave me a bowl of acetone, cut my nails, and told me to take them off and leave. So I went ahead and took advantage of the hot stone pedicure Groupon despite the somewhat mixed reviews I saw on here from fellow Yelpers. I will say after my visit I can perhaps see why there is such a wide variety of feelings on this particular spot. For starters, this is NOT the place to go if you want a fancy spa experience. It is pretty lacking in decor, but that doesn't necessarily bother me as long as everything else seems to be clean, which in this case it was. I went during lunchtime on a Monday, which was a breeze and was able to get service immediately. It was quiet not just because there were no other customers, but because the other women working there were also pretty quiet in general. Although they weren't super friendly, they also weren't rude and didn't treat me any worse when I stated I had a Groupon to use. I liked that my lady asked me questions on what I preferred as far as file vs clip and round shape vs square. She took her time and was pretty particular with her work which I appreciated. My only gripe is the water I soaked my feet in prior to the pedicure was lukewarm almost cold but when she rinsed my legs and feet off with the detachable jet that water was hot almost had be sweating (which I woulda preferred from the get go!). Ok selection of OPI/Essie (they had one of my newfound fave shades, score!) and the actual hot stone massage was quite pleasurable. Overall I was satisfied with the Salon for the deal I received. I will be stalking Groupon for this deal to reappear. Looking at their price list they seem to have pretty good rates, so if I was in the area and needed a quick no frills pedi, I would drop on by. It has been noted that parking sucks, but hey it's College Park, parking has been like that in that particular area for awhile now. read more

My girlfriend went in for a nail manicure, and before the lady started my girlfriend asked if she needed to take her ring off. The lady told her it is ok to leave it on, but shortly afterward she chipped the ring and damaged the coating. The lady then started telling my girlfriend if the ring is something important to her, she should have taken it off. The way she first told my girlfriend it is ok to leave the ring on and started blaming everything on her after she damaged the ring is totally irresponsible and disrespectful. She even started talking in a different language in an offensive tone to her staff after damaging my girlfriend's ring. People know you are talking bad about them in another language. I hated my experience here. I have given the place a couple of tries, but each time they disappoint. The most recent time, I got a french gel manicure and within 2 days, 2 of my nails had chipped on the white portion. It has now been 5 days, and 5 of my nails have significant chips on them. The lady I had also did not file, shape or clean up my nails at all. The first time I came I got dip and they popped off. I've been here many times since it's the closest nail salon on campus, but I have to say their service is really bad and technique is below average. The guy that did my nails last time cut my cuticle. My fingers were bleeding so I pulled my hand back and he told me to stop moving bc it's making his job harder. They tried to charge me $5 extra for getting coffin shape when my nails already that shape. There were glue all over my fingers the acrylic were breaking after a week. Been coming here for a while and been happy with my eyebrows until... today. A man there did them today. And they look TERRIBLE. My one eyebrow is so much shorter and thinner than the other. I did not ask him to fix it because I was genuinely terrified of him taking the entire thing off. I have to take Graduation photographs in a couple days and my eyebrows are an uneven disaster.
