Since my daughter takes ballet lessons at the International Ballet Academy (IBA) she was given the opportunity to dance in the IBTs Nutcracker last year. It was very demanding (lots of rehearsals and shows) but just as rewarding. She had such a positive experience, she wanted to do it again this year. My daughter has been with IBA for 4 years and takes lessons from Ms. Alison who is a wonderful teacher (see my other review on IBA). She has also enjoyed taking lessons from Ms. Hiromi at IBT's Nutcracker rehearsals and looks forward to taking more classes from her at IBA next year.

We joined this school in 2018 after trying several other studios, which all got a thumbs down from my discerning daughter, who was very clear that she didn't want to participate in dance recitals with little girls in too much makeup and explosions of glitter, bows, and over-bedazzled costumes (just not her cup of tea). She wanted a serious, yet fun studio, and KKSD is it. From day one this has been my daughter's happy place. She has made great dance friends, and has felt well supported in her passion for learning many types of dance. The families here are wonderful. Miss Karina is a serious instructor, who doesn't over-praise during class, but is also very loving and encouraging. Her twice a year dance performances at Meydenbauer Center are very well choreographed and professional. The costumes are beautiful, elegant and tasteful. The performers look fantastic, yet age appropriate, and get wonderful stage experience to build performance confidence naturally. At PNB it takes a lot of work and effort but is is worth it and necessary for building a strong dancer. The teachers here are kind but not afraid to tell you if you are doing something wrong and how to improve. PNB also cares for the mental and physical health of there dancers. Starting in level 6 they start having mental and nutritional seminars once every month. PNB will give students chances to dance on stage and experience what it is like to be dancing in front of a crowd with there productions such as The Nutcracker, Coppélia, A Midsummer Nights Dream and many more. However, once inside, I was impressed by how spacious it was, with three rooms and clean facilities. There were six people in the pole room in my class, and each of us had our own pole. Jewel had great energy and was an excellent instructor. I had a lot of fun freestyling for two full songs, with a short break in between. Everyone there was friendly and had great vibes. Parking was convenient, thanks to the available parking lot.
