Our tour started from Columbus Blvd and went through Northern Liberties and Chinatown! I was nervous to go in the streets in the beginning, but once I got my confidence I was enjoying the tour as well as the ease the we went through the neighborhoods! We had to register through the company and sign waivers beforehand before we could rent out the Segway for the tour. I was so nervous because I wasn't 100% happy about driving the Segway in Center city Philadelphia traffic- Philly drivers are the worse! ( I know cause I am one of them!) So we got assigned our Segway and had about 5 minutes to practice and feel comfortable before going out on the street. I wasn't feeling comfortable and I was so scared but I sucked it up and headed out on the road. It was kinda cool zipping through the different streets and getting some information about some of the older buildings and learning about my city a little more. We had a chance to learn about Philadelphia and also had a chance to stop at a sandwich shop I never been to before and had a nice lunch on the spot when we had a chance to take a break. I was nervous the whole time I road the Segway and had the picture of me getting bumped off the road and getting hurt many times- as I rode the Segway I was gripping it so hard my hands were throbbing. Before no time we were racing into the end of the tour and I was kissing the ground that we made it back. That was marked off my to-do list and never again for me.

We loved the view…read more Had a couple of bumps in the road but wasn't deal breakers( breakfast first morning on 6th floor was cold-we didn't have water the second day for a while- the stores downstairs say they are open till a certain time and aren't something we searched to make sure we had a few things close as my aunt had a bummed knee and can't walk far- jacuzzi tub turns back on randomly about an hour after you get out and scared us twice- The room was to have a pull out couch and didn't (they did give us a cot free of charge) -we paid for parking and ending up getting a spot on the side the whole time and didn't need to pay for that. - First Lady to check me in didn't do it correctly and said our room wasnt ready but I watched everyone else check in right in front of me differently. I went back 30 mins later and our room was in fact ready she didn't fully check me in. Also paid for direct ocean front and we are on the side and can only see one side of the boardwalk on the top floor. We was under the impression we would be in the middle of building. But even after all that we would stay here again. Those were just some of bumps we got through without issue.

You'll be asked about your personal experiences with such occurrences and to share if you notice any during the final stop which is at the Emlen Physick Estate, a large and historic Victorian era house but with many accounts of supernatural occurrences over the years. We were killing time before our dinner reservation this week and decided to see if they had any availability. We were in luck and able to get on the Cinderella carriage right away! It is the perfect size for a family of 4. Our driver was so nice. I forget her name but she was a brunette and so sweet! She gave us great history of the town as we drove around. Our horse's name was Oreo and he was so adorable. It was about a 30 minute ride. I definitely recommend doing this at Christmastime so you can see all the beautiful lights on the historic Cape May homes! I look forward to taking another carriage ride some time soon :)

We had taken her on the trolley tour which was great, but because the car has a roof on it, it was difficult to see some of the stuff, especially if it was on the other side of the trolley and/or up high. We decided to take her on the carriage tour 1) just because it's cool and 2) so she could see more from the open carriage. Our 'driver' appeared to be new, and was learning how to control the horse through the busy Cape May streets. We had a 'trainer' with her who gave her pointers along the way. I think because of her newness and preoccupation with controlling the horse, she would forget we couldn't really hear her when she was facing forward. If you look at the carriages going by, you''ll notice the drivers are almost always turned to the side while they're talking so their passengers can hear what they're saying. Ours still needed to get the system down. No worries on that, we understood she was training. I can't remember how long the ride took, but it was a very pleasant and relaxed way to see the streets of Cape May and get some history of the area. Our foreign guest was most happily gobsmacked with the experience. Yes, I would recommend this experience and yes, I would most certainly do it again. A romantic horse and carriage ride through a romantic town. What's not to like?
