There's also very cute and funny beach themed decor. I also love the fact they have books about the kindred box. While it was touristy stuff, it made me happy to see so much Carolina stuff as a long time resident of them. NC hats, SSB stuff, and even simple little toys for the kids. The lady at checkout helped me pick the right size for a sweater I wanted. If it wasn't for her telling me I could try it on in a back room I never would've gotten the appropriate size. went in with my daughter 3 nights ago and immediately out the gate the "big boss man" or so he…read moreseems is screaming at a female employee over tshirts!!! i chose to ignore it thinking maybe i walked into something at the wrong time and didn't hear the full thing then at checkout a young worker helped my daughter out with her toy and then threw away the trash for us because she wanted it right then and there which i thought was so amazing and we all (me my husband and daughter) was just so appreciative of well the little girl checking out behind of us wanted the same thing so the parents paid for the toy and the worker helped open it i hear the manager RUNNING and SCREAMING at this employee in front of God and everyone in this whole store i was absolutely sick i was about to buy more things i just put them back and left. i wasn't gonna write a review because im not a local i'm all the way from west virginia and ive never seen anyone treat their employees like this.. again i was gonna let it go but today's the last day of my vacation and i needed a boogie board for my daughter and i seen the manager in there and it made me mad all over again. i hope the manager doesn't see this and take it out on the employees but i wish i would've gotten to see the boy again that helped my daughter open her squishy so i could tell him thank you and i appreciate what he done for us that night, this is an amazing little town i hope him and the gorgeous little colored girl go somewhere else to work where they're appreciated and i hope im not stepping on anyone's toes writing this

So I asked one of the moms videotaping her kids, "Who is the company giving these lessons?' I jumped on their website, texted the number there and got our 11 year old signed up for a private lesson for the very next day. Sydney was a lovely and patient instructor. The owner was there, too, very polite and organized and I paid with Venmo right there on the beach. And my son who had never surfed before got up about 40 times in his 90 minute lesson. Beaming and joyful. I 100% recommend Carolina Surf. And I am so glad we found them!

He led our group of beginners through a stand up paddle board lesson and tour of the canals by the intercoastal waters in OIB, and we all had a memorable time. Booking was easy, we lucked out with the weather, and Carston was an excellent coach teaching us SUP basics. 10/10 would recommend for both beginners and experienced individuals alike.
