I went in the next day to return and it was not the same nice lady at the counter who assisted me. I had the wrong receipt in the bag so she would not allow me to exchange. She was very annoyed. As many cameras as you have in this shop you can see I purchased the earrings the previous day. I will not be purchasing from this store again. My family and I can spend our money at other stores.

It is a treasure trove of upscale beach decor, women's clothing, accessories and gifts. The shop is bright and cheery and merchandised spectacularly. Your eyes can't take it all in and you feel the need to explore every nook and cranny of this boutique. There are many areas within this shop for jewelry, handbags, shoes, dish towels, beach tees, clothing, soaps, hand creams, placards and signs and so much more. I personally bought really cute sneakers, a soft Ocean Isle Beach sweatshirt and a bright fuchsia top. There were other things I wanted, but I just had to stop myself. Everything in there is extremely overpriced-- I found several items in there that I'd bought before at Marshall's for $15 and they'd priced them at over $90. They also only tend to carry bigger sizes, so if you're anything from a 00-6 they won't have your size. But to finalize my point, and the real reason I felt driven to write this review was the astonishingly subpar & disrespectful customer service. Five of us women walked into the store & were greeted with only a cold stare by the two employees working. No smile, no hello, nothing. As the youngest of the group, I guess I wasn't dressed to their standards (modest sweater, jeans) because the entire time they watched my every move as if I were a juvenile delinquent & was going to steal something. As if there was anything in there worth stealing. Anytime I walked into a part of the store that wasn't visible by the front counter one of them followed behind me and just watched; only me & none of the other (older) women I was with. My mother & grandmother tried to ask questions and seek assistance with some clothing items & were rudely dismissed. Workers also didn't allow us to use our homeowners discount, despite showing proof. Highly discourage anyone from shopping here, I'd recommend trying Island Breeze or J. Huffman both in Sunset Beach and both are highly skilled in customer service and satisfaction.

What you get is a big selection of just about everything you might need for the beach, from attire to sunblock and towels, to gear. The staff were friendly. Parking is ample. The only thing I'd nitpick is that prices were a little high. For example, you can get some of the same sunblock at the nearby supermarket (I think it's a Publix) for a couple of bucks cheaper. So if I could speak to the owners, I'd tell them to have a little more sense about those kinds of prices or risk losing customers. Overall though, it's actually one of the better beach type stores I've been in.
