Good food at a great price. We decided to check this place out before we fly back home. Very close to our hotel and we are glad we did. The food is really good. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is small, sits about 20 people but the kitchen and staff are quick. Can't go wrong with having brunch or breakfast here. read more

Great spot, close to Marriot pinnacle. We were completely covered by an overhang and didn't get wet with the rain on the way there. Coffee was very good. Staff was friendly while explaining certain items on the menu we weren't sure about bout. The place was quiet and you could get work done there if needed. read more

4.5 stars I love this independent store, the vibe and the treats (excellent looking and fresh baked goods). They no longer serve 49th parallel coffee. I just had a regular drip coffee and found it to be more bitter than I prefer. Avocado toast was tasty, the sourdough bread it came on was fabulous. A relatively small portion for the price but probably on par with places nearby. It is pretty small - around six small tables. It is quite busy with a pretty steady stream of regular clientele. The staff are friendly and the service is good. If you're looking for independent coffee in this area this is probably your best bet, enjoy! read more

Cute little cafe. I would say it's closer to 3.5 stars. My flat white was not bad, but it didn't have the usual creamy, velvety texture of well frothed milk. I got a regular butter croissant too, and instantly regretted it when I saw it. It looked a little pale and undercooked. However, it actually taste much better than it looked. Airy, light texture inside and a bit of a crunch on top. Could've done with a bit more colour on the exterior, and more butter - but I would get it again. Might try a different drink next time :) read more

The music was way too depressing in this place!! We came in on a Tuesday morning, it was the final day of our trip, so the mood was low, and the Adele album playing in the cafe made the mood lower! We had the breakfast sandwich which was nice but the brioche roll was a little bit dry. The coffee was nice. Some uplifting music could really change the vibe. read more

Great vibes in this little shop tucked under an office building. Had a very legit London Fog in a large mug. Not too sweet, just right. Wife had a chai latte, also very good. A bit spicey (which I love). Great spot! read more

I visited Vancouver in November of last year, and this place was near where I was staying. After trying it one morning, I made it a point to their pourover coffee every morning thereafter. I'm not exaggerating when it was the best pourover I've had in a long time (at the time, they were serving Valley Clouds and Mellow Carmelo from House of Funk) and I regret not asking what their secret was. Also, shout-out to the cafe manager for recommending House of Funk, too, after I asked where I could get some of the beans they were brewing -- they didn't have those to sell, but they did have Modus which was another great cup they were serving. read more

Never knew there was a coffee place here, despite their bright orange theme. Parking here sucks. Don't bother looking. The place has a bit of a "trendy but hipster" feel to it. Something about feeling good while fighting the System. The coffee appears to be freshly ground, which means your coffee will take a bit longer than normal. I had a hot chocolate, which was pretty decent, though a bit on the sweet side. Overall, a decent place if you're sick of Starbucks. read more

Great coffee here, reasonable prices, stylish interior. The place is not big, and can be easily missed if you dont know what you are looking for, but once inside you will be pleased you have found it. I normally don't order iced lattes when I go out for coffee but decided to switch up my "usual" ya kno. I'm kind of lactose intolerant so I opted for soy milk which was 75 cents more! I personally HATE it when milk substitutes cost extra (especially when it's costco soy milk) but a mildly lactose intolerant gal does what she gotta do. Anyway the coffee itself was watery for my liking and the espresso shot was diluted with soy milk. Incorrect ratio of coffee to soy! It was a try a New Coffee Place kind of day. The staff were friendly and helpful. They use 49th Parallel coffee beans and the latte tasted fantastic, I did not have to even add a flavored syrup. There was no line up when I came in around 9 am. They also have breakfast and lunch options too. I would come back for lunch next time. A good alternative and local coffee shop for those who don't want a coffee chain. read more

My absolute #1 coffee place during weekdays! I feel like I part time live there, haha, it's such a cozy spot in the middle of corporate downtown core! This place is close to my office, so it is my go to once or twice a day. The coffee is good, the service relaxed, and the pastries and sandwiches are good too. It is worth the jay walk! The coffee here is as good as the coffee at JJ Bean, with quicker and more efficient service, allowing me to get on with my day, rather than wait in line! read more

I ordered the wrong item (sandwich with egg when I don't eat egg) on accident. When it arrived I was like "man that was dumb of me I said the wrong one". The offered to bring me a new one. I wouldn't accept as I can just remove the egg. The store manager went above and beyond to bring over some side veggies to add to my now small sandwich which was sooo kind. Came here with my bf on a Friday afternoon. Cafe wasn't busy which was good. Decor was very rustic but I liked it. I really liked their huge paper size menu at the front and their huge chalkboard at the back of the cafe. My bf had an iced mocha with soy milk which was very tasty while I had a drip coffee. I didn't realize that they make their own cold brew because I would of gotten it instead of their drip coffee since their coffee beans came from 49th parallel which I tried before :[ I was tempted to try their carrot cake because I saw pictures of them on yelp and lots of people were ordering them but I ended up getting their rhubarb coffee cake. I love coffee cake and I never seen it paired with a fruit before. I was glad that I got it because it was sooo good! It wasn't too sweet because of the rhubarb, and it was so moist and crumbly. My bf also really enjoyed it because he ate it so fast and he wanted to order another one LOL Overall, we wouldn't mind coming back here. I will definitely get that carrot cake and I will try their homemade cold brew! read more

This is an ideal coffee shop inside a business/office tower (it's ground level - tucked in a quaint space). Very friendly employees and great flavored lattes. So happy I stumbled on this place. It was just a short 5 minute walk from Trump Tower, where I stayed the night before. Coffee and sandwiches both amazing and high quality. The inside reminds me of a mix of Purebread and a 49th parallel. Staff very friendly. The music selection even brought it's A game here. I heard classics like the graduation song and one of my favs from Brandon Flowers (Killers lead singer). Total throwback. Went here on a whim one morning before a work engagement nearby. Neat and clean atmosphere, but nothing too crazy menu/food wise. Ordered the granola bar, which was dense, wet, and left quite a bit to be desired from a taste standpoint. Not a lot of flavor, and a bit of a bizarre texture, but still enjoyed it although it was not expected at all. Ordered a cold brew coffee as well, great in taste, small in size. This recently renovated long-time mom and pop styled caffeine hotspot is oh so where you wanna be (even if you didn't yet know it!). With a fresh new look, quality and atmosphere are their all about service approach. Space is clean. I didnt stay or have any of their food though so cant really comment on more than that. Pricing is high but similar to other local coffee shops. If i was in the area I would come back for their special items. Overall solid 4 stars. A step above any of the big chains for sure. But it isnt good enough that I would go out of my way for it. If you're nearby though, worth a visit.

We went with the garlic cheese bun, sausage English muffin, ham a lend cheese croissant, and the London Fog. The food was delivered hot by our Uber Eats driver and everything tasted amazing despite the 35 degree weather. The London Fog is what I have to really highlight. It is an Earl Grey tea latte with a hint of vanilla. I went for the regular sweetness level to taste the true aromatics in this 20 ounce cup. I'll definitely order it again.

Knowing how good 49th Parallel is with coffee I thought I'd try their version of the London Fog. I wasn't disappointed. In fact it was best London Fog I've ever had. I've had them at other places but I've never seen a preparation like 49th. They use loose leaf Earl Gray tea in a tall paper tea bag. They put the bag in your cup pour the steamed milk in and the tea steeps right into the milk. It's the smoothest London Fog I've had and isn't cloyingly sweet like many I've had.

I was in need of a snack and this was a short walk from our hotel. 49th Parallel is well known for their thoughtfully sourced, house-roasted coffees and their cult-favorite donuts, but they also offer a small menu of sandwiches if you're looking for something more filling. It wasn't too busy when we got there, though most of the tables were taken. We ordered a mix of sweet and savory: the chestnut brûlée donut, a salted caramel old fashioned, and a couple of breakfast sandwiches--the Doug and the Cascadia--both served on soft, buttery brioche buns. My other half also grabbed an Americano to go with it all. The chestnut brûlée donut was my fav of the bunch. The chestnut flavor was perfectly balanced--nice and light. The sandwiches were also good, especially thanks to that pillowy soft brioche. Overall, 49th Parallel was the perfect stop for a small, simple snack! Would recommend.

And they were delicious . Each items were the size of my my palm. The cafe is located near the public library on Robson Street in downtown with access through public transportation. The cafe itself was charming and welcoming with plenty of space to site with friends and co-workers or just by yourself if you need to work on some projects or just read a book.
