    Classic Breakfast
    Chris O.

Good food at a great price. We decided to check this place out before we fly back home. Very close to our hotel and we are glad we did. The food is really good. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is small, sits about 20 people but the kitchen and staff are quick. Can't go wrong with having brunch or breakfast here.

I ordered hot latte and it came out alright. Latte art wasn't done right but I appreciated the effort. Coffee shop set up was cute and cozy. Staff was also friendly.

Conveniently located coffee house that we stopped into for coffee and breakfast. Delicious!

Classic Breakfast - loved how they offered avocado or bacon or both

Great brunch to round off an epic adventure to see The Rolling Stones and Sea to Sky Gondola. Loved this little hole in the wall that I would prefer to say Upscale Hidden Gem or boutique chic breakfast. Super healthy and balanced. Recommended by fellow travelers at Riley's last night. Sweet or savory, something for everyone!!

Called classic breakfast - was delicious.

Called classic breakfast - was delicious. The sourdough tasted like authentic homemade bread - not like something they bought in a store. Definitely a wonderful hidden spot!

Avocado toast - $6.75 (you can add a poached egg for an additional charge of you wish)

4.5 stars I love this independent store, the vibe and the treats (excellent looking and fresh baked goods). They no longer serve 49th parallel coffee. I just had a regular drip coffee and found it to be more bitter than I prefer. Avocado toast was tasty, the sourdough bread it came on was fabulous. A relatively small portion for the price but probably on par with places nearby. It is pretty small - around six small tables. It is quite busy with a pretty steady stream of regular clientele. The staff are friendly and the service is good. If you're looking for independent coffee in this area this is probably your best bet, enjoy!

The waffleized French toast was great, as was the coffee. The decor is interesting and welcoming.

Small portions and mediocre flavor. Don't buy the orange juice you get two sips. The matcha was also just ok. Wouldn't return.

The cardamom latté with Oatmilk was so good and the overnight oats and avocado toast were superb and so pretty!

We ordered the following: Tiramisu Latte Caprese Bite London Fog Apple Cookie Cherry Matcha Tonic Tiramisu Sea Salt Caramel Gelato The Cherry Matcha Tonic was pretty but wasn't too crazy about the flavor. I should have just gone with my original gut instinct and chosen a hot beverage like Hojicha Latte or something like that. I was sort of thirsting for something cooler for a change though, and the Cherry Matcha Tonic was the first "cool" drink that caught my eye so I decided to go for it. Won't do that again. Everything else was good though. The Sea Salt Caramel Gelato was the star of the show! In the store there's a sign beneath their gelato section that says "Canadian Gelato Champion". I believe it after tasting the Sea Salt Caramel! They had Nama Chocolates too. I was tempted to get some but...only so much a person's wallet and waistline can handle at one time. Will try the Nama Chocolate some other time. You can order in person here, or you can place an "Express" order at the Kiosk. We tried both ways of ordering. Ordered at the counter first and then after finished my Cherry Matcha Tonic decided I wanted to try the Sea Salt Gelato so then tried ordering that from the Kiosk. Most of the parking in this area is paid but I lucked out and got a free spot right around the corner from this place!

I could tell even from outside that it's a popular work and study type of coffee shop with your free wifi and outlets. I hope this post doesn't give it away and make it way too crowded for me to find a seat next time. There's a steady flow of people visiting the stores while I was there on a weekday between late afternoon and early evening but there's always extra seat for anyone new looking for a desk to work or chat with friends. A few could be better are the pricing and temperature. They offer free oat milk substitute and -$0.35 for bringing your own cup but no more employee discount. And it was so cold in there, I could see a lot of people kept their winter jackets on, I don't think it's a heating issue but the constant windy seems to suggest the AC is on rather than the heater, oh wells Im out of there now. For that reason, unless I'm bundled up, it'll be a hard sale to be back again! I got a hojicha latte and it as pretty good, perfect sweetness and temperature for my cold with no ice. The barista was super great to work with.

Knowing how good 49th Parallel is with coffee I thought I'd try their version of the London Fog. I wasn't disappointed. In fact it was best London Fog I've ever had. I've had them at other places but I've never seen a preparation like 49th. They use loose leaf Earl Gray tea in a tall paper tea bag. They put the bag in your cup pour the steamed milk in and the tea steeps right into the milk. It's the smoothest London Fog I've had and isn't cloyingly sweet like many I've had.

I was in need of a snack and this was a short walk from our hotel. 49th Parallel is well known for their thoughtfully sourced, house-roasted coffees and their cult-favorite donuts, but they also offer a small menu of sandwiches if you're looking for something more filling. It wasn't too busy when we got there, though most of the tables were taken. We ordered a mix of sweet and savory: the chestnut brûlée donut, a salted caramel old fashioned, and a couple of breakfast sandwiches--the Doug and the Cascadia--both served on soft, buttery brioche buns. My other half also grabbed an Americano to go with it all. The chestnut brûlée donut was my fav of the bunch. The chestnut flavor was perfectly balanced--nice and light. The sandwiches were also good, especially thanks to that pillowy soft brioche. Overall, 49th Parallel was the perfect stop for a small, simple snack! Would recommend.
