Near Fairmont Waterfront Stopped in for our first snack break after checking into the Fairmont Waterfront--just around the corner and perfectly timed. The Spanish latte (condensed milk latte) was the standout. Smooth, comforting, and oddly transportive--it genuinely brought us back to cafés in Europe. Rich without being heavy, and very well balanced. The pistachio croissant, unfortunately, didn't hit the same note. The flavor was there, but it didn't feel freshly baked and came across a bit dull compared to the quality of the drink. The space itself is small but warm, with a cozy, welcoming feel. The green owl logo and typography add a charming, memorable touch. Cute cafe in the heart of Vancouver downtown with lots of drinks and snacks option. I personally am fond of cube croissants so decided to try this cafe. I selected pistachio cube croissant as it's one of their famous things. At first I asked them to heat a bit which made it burn and they were happy to replace. Service is nice and staff is friendly. This time, I tried Coconuts peach matcha(iced). Barista poured matcha into the clear coconut peach drink. It was beautiful presentation. Too bad, I couldn't take video. This is such a cozy and homey cafe downtown. It's kind of a hidden gem. Their decaf oat latte is the best I've had (I liked it better than Starbucks, JJ, Parallel 49, and Pallet). The tables are cute and spread out enough even though it's a small space. The staff was friendly and warm. My friend and I sat and chatted for a while and felt very comfortable there. this is the kind of place i'd be a regular at if i were a local. wifi, great drinks, insane pastry choices, nice location (close by to public transit routes) and easily walkable if you're in the vicinity of canada place. friendly service and some seating at either small cafe tables or shared large wooden table at entrance. they have an electronic key hanging on a hook near where orders are placed to use to access bathroom down the hall from the back of the shop. what was not to love? read more

The mango flavoured matcha oat latte tasted very unique. The paper cups had a very unique design. They were very cute. Customer service was good. It's a cafe or coffee shop with pastries like others. The space has some high tables and chairs. It was kind packed but totally understood that it is in a downtown location. The bigger it is the higher lease it is. I would recommend others to try this coffee shop if they are in downtown/Canada Place or close to Waterfront Skytrain station. read more

The also had the traditional espresso drinks, teas, iced, and fruity non-caff options. Prices topped out at $8 for the largest sizes. They had a small selection of pastries -- croissants in the normal shape and other fun ones that were square (cream-filled) or spiral (Nutella) and dipped in chocolate and chopped pistachio. We got a few breakfast sandwiches, and a slice of banana bread. We had to wait while they heated up the ready made sandwiches. Small cafe, a little inconspicuous, but very cozy and well-kept. I love how it feels like you're inside a little secret room. The barista was very nice. I got an ultimate veggie sandwich, a pistachio cube croissant, and a cortadito. The sandwich was very tasty (I loved the tangy dressing), but it seemed like it was conceived by a meat-eater who doesn't know what vegetarians eat, by which I mean it was mostly loaded with a lot of light vegetables and ultimately didn't have much satiating power despite the actual size of the sandwich being fine. Something like hummus, a second slice of cheese to make it a melt, or a "heavier" vegetable like squash or eggplant would have filled it out. The cube croissant and cortadito were perfection though. I really appreciated that the croissant wasn't the kind that left my hands buttery and didn't crumble when I took a bite, but the layers were tender and soft, and the dough wasn't sweet which allowed the pistachio filling and dark chocolate shell to shine. The espresso in the cortadito seemed to have a lot of natural sweetness, it was very pleasant. I wouldn't go back for lunch just because there's not a big selection and I felt like I paid too much for a sandwich that did not fill me up, so I'm okay with it being a one-and-done stop for me, but it was worth the visit. If you eat meat, their other sandwiches are probably great - or if you're vegetarian and just not very hungry, you might like their veggie sandwich. read more
