I've been coming here for a few years now and it's easily the best place I've ever been to! The people there are so nice and welcoming making the whole experience easy and comfortable. The salon itself is so cute and they have so many complementary refreshments to choose from while you wait. Liz is my go to girl and I would recommend her to anyone. She has such great attention to detail and tweezes at the end if your ok with it which helps with cleaning up any extra hairs that couldn't be grabbed by the wax. My usual waxers were both booked/out of town so I was looking for a place that does hard wax. And I found reWAXation!! It was pretty easy to make a reservation and even easier to find parking during the day time! The next best thing about this place is it's proximity to boba guys NOPA. Literally down the block!! The inside area is pretty quaint and small, it's separated by walls that don't go all the way up. So you can hear other people's convos in other stations but it's not bad!! I had Alex for my wax and she was very fast and efficient, she's just as good as Rose! She used hard wax and she was very thorough and was easy to talk to! I'm definitely a fan of this spot and will be back if my usual waxer is out of town again! If you pay with cash you get a stamp card to eventually get a discount when you got $150 Worth of services! I love the Divisadero location, they have refreshments and cute decor that really makes me feel like I, in a women's sanctuary. Kim has always been my gal and she makes me feel right at home. Getting waxed is a personal experience and Kim really feels like a friend I can trust and share stories with. Her techniques are quick and the pain is even quickly forgettable. ReWAXation has quick and affordable waxes which makes it appealing, especially in San Francisco. I have had many waxes over the years here and have always had a good experience in terms of the wax. I will say their front desk team/ aestheticians are not professional and they have a very strict late policy. I understand if you are consistently very late- but in a city where very people do not have cars and you must rely on public transit- there should be more of a cushion than 2 minutes. I understand being respectful of time, but my interaction with the aesthetician was so awful I will not be returning strictly off of her behavior. If people are nice and professional- than we are happy to accept the changes/fees- but you must remember they are still customers with feelings. Re: company response: the issue was not the policy, but the way your employees treated me. I understand the reasoning behind the policy, but not the behavior. read more

Five stars for Gabby and the others who I've seen. Gabby is great and I try and make sure I book with her every time. She is friendly and always does a really good job. Three stars for front desk staff/service. If you're even 1-2 minutes late, they will let you know that you might have to cancel. If you're on the early side to your appt, you will usually be waiting. I've had a few appts cancelled because the staff didn't feel comfortable working on males, which should be made known before booking. The location in Austin does have much friendlier staff than the one here in SF. read more

I came here in May 2021 for a Brazilian and underarm wax. Overall, it was an okay experience, but I don't think I'll come back. The job got done quickly and I felt that the COVID precautions were thorough (i.e. waiting outside until your appointment, plenty of hand sanitizer, masks). The wax itself was pretty thorough too and got most of the hair (not as much as usual, but that's on me because it had been my first time waxing in over a year and I'd been shaving in between). The Brazilian was pretty painful though, probably the most painful wax I've had (and I've stopped and started waxing many times). The main issues were that the wax was way too hot and the wax strips my aesthetician put down were pretty big, so each wax was really painful. She had probably covered my entire cooch in 4-6 goes. She had to keep going over the same spots again for stubborn hairs, which wouldn't have hurt at all if the wax wasn't so hot. I mentioned the wax was a little hot and she tried cooling it down sometimes before she put it on after that, but she didn't do it consistently. Also, I'd suggest putting a disclaimer on your website about requirements for a sugaring session. I originally booked a sugaring appointment (honestly because it was cheaper than hard wax!), but when I got there the aesthetician told me she'd have to use hard wax instead because it had been so long since I'd last waxed. I trust her judgement, but I wish the website had said something about that before I booked the appointment so I knew how much I'd be paying. read more

My appointment was with Alex I have had a BrazilIan wax before about 4 times but hadn't had one in a while still none was ever as painful a this one I truly believe she was rushing and made me feel uncomfortable I had to tell her to stop multiple times to give me a breather and she made me feel as if though i just needed to stop moving or stop stopping her as if waxing is painless and I was just sensitive. Im two months pregnant was already having a pretty bad day due nausea and this experience actually made me tear up on the table. Horrible customer service. I scheduled a Sugaring and wax two week, in advance. Being it's Halloween weekend, I wanted to book early. The day of my appointment toda. I received a email stating that my appointment was canceled, due to not confirming. However, I had confirmed via text and email. I called to speak to receptionist, she informed me that the automated system canceled, because I didn't confirm. I informed her that. I confirmed and even have screenshots of my confirmation. My original appointment was at 6pm after I get off work, she offered me a 1pm appointment. I said ok, she then informed me that it wasn't available and they're book for today. I explained that I have a flight to catch tomorrow and being it's Halloween it would be impossible to find a sugaring place with availability. I asked for the manager, she refused to give a cont or name and only provided a email. After a year of patronizing this busines, I won't ever return or refer anyone t. Have back up plan if you book with this place. Where on these messages does it ask, for a credit card? And being that I'm not a new customer my Credit Card has been on file with Rewaxation. I've gotten my services done by 4 or 5 different estheticians and they've all been wonderful.
