I found ReWAXation a little over two years ago when I was promoted to a position that required earlier working hours and found my other waxer couldn't accommodate appointments that were early or late enough for me. Since my schedule varies, I've gone to a number of women here for waxing (full leg, underarm, Brazilian, etc) and never left unhappy. They are consistently friendly and quick. That said, I do want to call out Alex. Waxes with Alex are like the holy grail of waxes! She's super thorough and her PFB recommendation for my ingrown hairs has really limited the number I get each month. Also, during my last wax, she asked me if I ever left a wax feeling a bit of stubble - the answer was yes - after 6+ years of waxing I had chalked it up to my hair type. She decided to go over my hairs using a couple new directions and spent extra time trying to get everything smooth and bare with this technique. IT WAS THE SMOOTHEST WAX OF MY LIFE! The folks are super organized, clean and professional around all covid precautions. They've updated their interior too! I went to see Gabi and she was great...super personable and did a great job...even got out the tweezers for those errant hairs, which I appreciated. CLEANLINESS. EFFICIENCY. TIMLY. The Brazilian: My Brazilian wax was done by Kelly. She did a great job, very detail oriented, quick and practically painless (as painless as a Brazilian can be). She's good at feeling the space, if you're talkative she talks. If you're quiet she doesn't force conversation both appreciated. The center: their availability and hours are so amazing and rare to find. Their email/texting systems are friendly, non-spammy reminders (also easy to opt out of). My friend was coming to get a wax for the first time at this place, I had been here about two times prior and absolutely loved it so of course I had to recommend her. I decided to walk her to the business to help her find it because it's not exactly the most visible on the street. As I take one step into the building this white woman, whose name I didn't even catch because of her blatant rudeness and disrespect from the beginning, proceeds to say to me "We don't allow other people in the building without an appointment". Now the problem wasn't that she asked me to leave, COVID-19, and for privacy reasons I can understand I would have had no problem leaving. The issue was this particular worker very rudely shooed me out the door and basically implied I needed to get out. No type of professionalism, not to mention her demeanor was very unwelcoming and really made me consider getting a new waxing place. It costs nothing to be polite and I would have had no problem leaving the building, but her white ass needs to learn to be respectful and professional to customers. It felt very racially motivated as I had previously seen white customers accompanied with other guests and had no issue from the staff. Smdh. read more

I've been coming here over the last 8 months and seen multiple technicians. This most recent wax was my worst experience. I had Alex and I appreciate she wanted to be really detailed but she kept rewaxing my really tender areas over and over saying I'm just being ocd. But now my skin is so raw it hurts to close my legs. I've had multiple Brazilian waxes and never had this before. Usually I feel great after. She was just a little too aggressive. I'll definitely speak up next time. read more

So I've been going here for a few months now and unfortunately I missed my appointment on Monday (I lost my phone) I didn't even know I had the appointment Monday so it had totally slipped my mind. Got my phone back Tuesday and rebooked or so I thought I did for today. Let's just say the messages made it seem like I had an appointment & I even got a confirmation message saying my appointment was going to start soon so I showed up and as I'm waiting outside I got a message saying my appointment was canceled I go and knock on the door and a lady comes out and is like oh you didn't have an appointment it was just a credit card hold. So obviously I'm like no it's says appointment I have an appointment. She's like "no you don't I'll show you my computer" mind you she doesn't even know my name. I'm upset because I literally came to an appointment I thought I had. And no I didn't get disrespectful or rude, but I let her know I'm writing a review and the she says "I don't like how your talking" Your front of house staff might want to learn how to communicate better with customers especially when your messages aren't clear. I like the waXer I always see she's super friendly, but your receptionist doesn't know how to communicate with people. Also saying "I don't know why it's like that" why are the unaware? OK, so getting a wax is never going to be the best half hour of your day: it's a little awkward, the lights are bright, and you're having hot wax poured on your face/body/nether regions. But if done correctly a wax is (relatively) painless, looks just like you wanted it to, and is over before you can say, "Actually, I changed my mind, I'm gonna shave instead". ReWAXation hits the mark on all three. I've been coming to both locations for 4 years and have seen a few different therapists. You'll get varying degrees of friendliness/chattiness depending on who you see, but you can be assured you're getting someone practiced, who knows what they are doing and has done it before - many, many times. All therapists are confident, quick and do exactly what you ask for. Prices are reasonable for the service and speed, and there's usually some cool tunes playing. Pro tip #1: Re-booking a service within 4 weeks gets you a decent discount (brows $16 instead of $20 at time of writing) Pro tip #2: While in the waiting room, take a look through the copy of "Gay Men Draw Vaginas" on the coffee table. I used to use their services for a year. Was running late after work and called to apologise and give a heads up. Got the parlour at 7.15 sharp (my appointment was at 7 pm) just to hear receptionist Desia tell me I missed the cutoff clearly enjoying her power over my situation. I came here for a spray tan, which isn't their main business, but I was happy with the results. Sam did my tan, and she was really friendly even though I was about 10 minutes late to my appointment because I underestimated how long it'd take me to find parking around Divisadero on a Friday night. I did have some bronze staining on my palms, but I feel like that's hard to avoid and happens with most spray tans. I thought the color was otherwise subtle and pretty. I'll be back! read more

I LOVE this place! My roommate recommended it to me a couple years ago, and now I won't get waxed anywhere else. I come here mostly for Brazilian sugaring, but I've tried some other waxing too and even a spray tan, and they always do such a good job! The staff is always friendly, so skilled, and always make me feel comfortable by chatting to distract me from the waxing. They make the waxing as quick and painless as possible! So much better than other places I've tried. I've been waxed/sugared by Kelly several times, and she does an incredible job. I love the spray tan solution they use! It lasts long and It fades so well that I never notice until I realize I'm pale af and need another one! As for the waxing- I love the sugaring and the PFB (ingrown hair serum) because I am prone to ingrowns. I started sugaring about 5 months ago and definitely see a huge difference in how many I get and the PFB is also a lifesaver! It helps clear up any ones you do get pretty quickly - the key is to just use it consistently! read more

You text them to check in for your appointment and then they texted when they were all ready for me to come in. This helped to minimize my time inside. This precaution was just the beginning. The aestheticians (?) are really nice and accommodating, and you can ask for a wax+sugar combo! I really like Gabriella and Delmy. They are speedy and efficient! There are two locations in SF and you can easily make appts online or over the phone! If you come every four weeks, they give you a substantial discount ($10 off for Brazilians).
