I have been loyal to Rewaxation monthly for two years and I am sad to be here leaving this review. After attempting to reschedule an appointment for the same day just at a later time I was informed that I would be charged for 1/2 of my service, even though I was not canceling just simply rescheduling. I understand this is your policy, but there have been a few times where Rewaxation has contacted me the day of to reschedule for a later time in the day and I have been flexible. Yet, the woman I spoke to on the phone was very unforgiving and was not willing to reschedule me without the fee. It is truly unfortunate when someone who has been loyal to your services and estheticians for a very long time is not recognized. Brazilians are quick, thorough and as pain free as can be. I'm of the the "please just hurry and do it" crowd, I'm not trying to chat and drag things out. So I appreciate the efficiency. If you like to chat, they might be up for it I just appreciate estheticians who pick up on peoples' preferences and don't chatter on and on when the client is in agony. So A+++++ on gettin it done. Ripping hair out is never fun (especially a brazilian), but there are places that can give you the best experience possible. And I think I've found my place in SF. I've converted to sugaring ever since I first tried it about 2 years ago back at a studio in Walnut Creek. I'm so fortunately prone to ingrown hairs and irritation that I had to switch up my waxing routine. Ladies, if you're like me and have those problems (and more), switch to sugaring! All natural, less irritation, and less ingrowns. I was searching for a reputable place in SF that did sugaring. The trek from SF to Walnut Creek every 4-5 weeks was not cool. Found this place and I've been happy! I had Kelly and like others have mentioned, she's such a calm presence. And she's QUICK. Talk about efficiency. She knows what she's doing and tweezes the hair that she can't get out. She will switch to hard wax for certain small places - this was new to me but she explained that it's easier for her to pull the hair. Didn't mind as long as it wasn't in places I knew was prone to ingrowns. All in all, this place is awesome. I've been to both locations and actually much prefer the NOPA location. I had my first spray tan here last Friday it was excellent! I am going on a trip I march and wanted to try it out first before doing it before the trip! I am so incredibly impressed with the quality and overall awesomeness of the waxing I received from Janessa this morning. First, she is adorable, sweet and knowledgeable about the perils of hair removal. She was able to empathize with me in my endless journey to find the solution to my hairy Indian girl body, and that, in itself, is rare. If you've never had to deal with hair removal beyond shaving your legs once a week, you just don't get it (and I kind of hate you). Now her skill level is amazing, she was efficient and accurate and didn't have to repeat any spots. She gave me tons of post-wax tips and also took the time to show me the different kind of waxes and what they were best for. Its was as painless as it could gave been, considering she was ripping deeply lodged hair away from my body--but I didn't tear up once. And she kept me chatting, thereby distracting me. I had my third visit to reWaxation for a Brazilian sugar, and this time, I was lucky to have been paired with Dani! I've seen other aestheticians here, and while they've all been great, I've found Dani's technique to be the least painful for me (everyone's body is different!) If you also experience day-of-appointment jitters from anticipating the pain, here are some steps you can consider taking: - avoid alcohol / caffeine before your appointment - take ibuprofen ~30 - 60 mins before your appointment - apply a warm damp towel before your appointment to help open your pores - breathe out (your pain tolerance is at its highest at the end of your breath) - don't wait too long before appointments: this is by far the biggest factor for me! - book your appointment with Dani: she'll get you out with as little pain as possible, I promise :) Overall, I am thankful every month for reWaxation. It's provided me with a super convenient, affordable way to get sugared regularly without breaking the bank. This place is amazing! Kelly waxed me and she makes you feel very comfortable. I dont know about you guys but being that exposed can be very unpleasant. Kelly completely made me forget that I was laying there half naked! I am completely new to this "sugaring" thing and was only told about this trend recently. I've done waxing before, hated it. I have a high tolerance for pain, but it still hurts, regardless. And the ingrown hairs that come with waxing, no thanks! I called for a same day appointment because the other salons, including this didn't have any availability online. They were able to accommodate me for a same day. Yay! Additionally, this little gem had the most reviews and a stellar 5 star rating when i was doing my research this morning on Yelp. So, sugaring hurts, like waxing. I feel like the pain is more tolerable - but that's also because I've been sticking to shaving the last few years. The irritation is non existent, except some initial discomfort and sensitivity. The staff is great, the rooms are clean and they make you feel at home rather than dealing with the awkward silence moments where your esthetician, a total stranger has you spread butterfly and sees all your private parts. I get comfortable with mine, and have scheduled my next one in four weeks, will have to get and remember her name next time. Oh, and the pricing is very very reasonable. I paid $65 including tip and regulars get a 20% discount when they come back! Amazing! Very happy with the thoroughness my esthetician provided. I had my first experience with reWAXation on divis today, and I have to say that everything went completely smoothly and I scheduled my next visit before I left - you receive 20% off if you stay regular (ie 4 weeks). I am not new to the SF waxing scene, but I was excited to try a place that wasn't in the Marina and could offer more reasonable prices. It was easy to find free street parking at the time I went - 1:30 on a friday, but this could be an issue later in the day. I did a Brazilian and it was quite comfortable (considering) and my waxer was the right amount of chatty and distracting. Since moving back home to SF, I wanted to find the perfect waxing salon for a Brazilian. The place is clean, the service is friendly, and they always offer you water or wine upon your arrival which is much appreciated. Although not the most thorough waxing service I've received, I've been going once a month since October 2015. I have no preference with an esthetician because some are more meticulous than others (I once had an appointment that lasted only 15 minutes). The best appointment I've had was with Eboni who did a combination of Brazilian and slight sugaring, even though my appointment was scheduled for a Brazilian. I went to rewaxation yesterday as I have been going there every month for about a year.  Always a good experience until recently.   I arrived for my 2:25pm appt and was totally ignored by the reception.  I told her I had a 2:25 and she gave me a dirty look.  I blew it off with a smile.
