She had nice music playing, spoke with me to distract from the pain, and was extremely quick and precise with the shaping (thanks to her previous work as a graphic designer). It didn't really hurt at all due to all of her preparation beforehand and after. She even tweezed loose hairs and offered to do the happy trail, both of which I was not offered at other big chain stores. Her services are so cheap for the level of care and expertise she gives you. Victoria's is still a solid five stars for hair removal!…read more Since my first review over a decade ago, a few things have changed - the studio moved (just a few blocks east, with better parking in my opinion), I've moved (a few times!), I tried laser hair removal (meh), and Dao has upgraded her electrolysis machine (making her process even faster). Through all the changes, my rating and loyalty remains. I can even walk across the street from where I currently live to get waxed instead of driving across the Bay Bridge and halfway across the city to get to Victoria's, but I still prefer Dao! Dao's efficiency, excellent work, affordable prices, and sweet, chatty demeanor keep me coming back. Although my first Brazilian electrolysis session was over 7 years ago, I have only booked/been able to tolerate 30 minute sessions, 1-3x per year. Certain areas of the body have more stubborn hair that requires more sessions, and Dao is very upfront about all of this. A few weeks after each session I notice less and less hair regrowing; there are certain areas where hair has never come back, and the areas that she continues to work on gets smaller and smaller. I look forward to my next session with Dao and I'm thinking I will ask her health/beauty tips, because she doesn't look a day older than the first day I met her!

The attached photo speaks for itself--uneven shape, sloppy paint job, and a small lint on the right big toe. When I politely asked the nail tech to fix it, she rudely said "I know!" But didn't even fix it in the end. In addition, she did not cap the free edges and the next day, the nail polish chipped on a few nails (not pictured).

This place is so stinking cute it almost hurts!! (just because I am totally jelly about the decor and their overall look) But enough with the esthetics, lets get down to what really matters...their product! Made an appointment through the website, super easy. You can also pick which staff member you would like so If you prefer one special employee, you can make sure they are the ones completing your services. Came in right on time, and Alexey greeted me with a warm smile and asked if I would like some water or wine. That's right! Its not a typo. WINE!! Great selling point in my opinion. Super casual but still professional. I opted for the water and Sally, my esthetician, came out greeting me, again, with a nice smile. These girls must love to work here or they were just having an awesome day because they just had great attitudes. Very refreshing for me after a long day of work dealing with not so nice people. Sally was very attentive and asked me what I would like done. My brows could have been mistaken for caterpillars so I needed her help bad! I do not have a real preference on how I like them shaped. As long as they look good and they are not too thin, I am happy. She was so gentle and with the hard wax that she was using, it went on smooth and it was nice and warm. Not hot, which is never fun, but warm. Minimal tweezing, and she put a nice cream on the skin to help with any irritation that might come up. This all took less than 20 minutes. There is nothing worse than going to a salon after work and you just want to get home, and they are all taking their time and you are there for 30-45 minutes. Not cool. I didn't feel rushed, I was extremely comfortable, and I came out holding my head a little higher to show off my newly shaped eye brows. Thanks ladies! read more

I came to the Bay Area 3 years ago and I was looking for a a place to get waxed. I went to a few spots, but I didn't get a good vibe from any of them. Then, one day I was walking down Divis. and spotted reWAXation, and suddenly all my waxing needs were met. I have been seeing Gabriella for over two years now and she is the BEST! I get full legs, Brazilian, and underarms done every 3-4 weeks. Sounds terrible right? Well, it's absolutely not with Gabriella! She is so efficient and quick! She makes the process as painless as possible for me, not to mention she's totally rad. Her work is always perfect and she's super professional. She is gentle, thorough and takes great care of my skin and hair. I leave with my nether regions very clean and smooth and I have pale skin and thick dark hair, not an easy task. Shout out to Sally and all the ladies at ReWAXation on Divisadero!! Such an adorable space and they are the nicest people. So hip and cool I just want to be one of them. I wanted a bikini wax and Sally told be about sugaring. never heard about it and honestly it made me want to have a pastry but its really just a different type of wax. Its not so hot like the other waxes I have had. I don't know if it was because I have never heard of it before but it seemed like it went faster and hurt a lot less than other waxes I have had. I think Sally is just a wizard with the wax. Either way, very happy with my hairless self and will totally go back. read more

I was really disappointed with the service provided. I went to get a spray tan and the woman who administered the tan did not even try to make me comfortable as I am standing in front of her nude. She also missed under my butt so I had 2 white streaks below my cheeks. I had a problem with my tan immediately ( and I mean right after walking out the door)after leaving and called to see if they could fix it and they said I would have to book a new appointment a few hours later and pay for another service! This was enough that I will never go back for another service from them. read more

I loved reWAXation before COVID, and I love them even more now! No more half-hearted attempts at wax strips for me when I can go back to the professionals. They've thoughtfully renovated the Divis location for thorough cleaning before and after each service. The front desk staff and estheticians wear Goggles, mask, gloves, and face shield. There are clear plastic barriers on the waxing tables that get disinfected between clients. Despite all of these safety precautions, it still manages to feel comfortable and friendly.
