This review is for a spray tan I received there. First the good. I really liked the color of the spray tan, it was not orange and the employee recommended a level 9 (out of 14) tan for me since I am very pale and I didn't want anything too extreme.this was the perfect color for me. Also their facilities are great, the staff are very friendly, and their online booking system makes it incredibly easy to book an appointment! Now for the bad. Unfortunately, the tan came out very uneven. I followed all their directions and exfoliated the day before, wore loose clothing and waited until the next day to shower, etc. After the employee put the spray tan on, she sprayed baby powder on top. In quite a few places the baby powder kind of exploded and came out very thick, making those areas look much lighter than the rest of my tan. The employee repeatedly told me not to worry about this and that once the color sets in it will be even. Unfortunately this was not the case at all. I had visibly lighter spots on both arms, my upper back, and multiple spots on my legs, which all corresponded to areas where the baby powder had exploded. Also, a large area on the side of my hip was completely missing any tan at all, there were 2 long very dark streaks on my arm and the back of my hands were a solid 2 shades darker than the rest of my body. Even my boyfriend noticed these lighter and darker spots and he usually isn't one to notice things like that, so these mistakes were very noticeable. I was very disappointed in my tan, especially after having read all the other good reviews about Rewaxation's spray tans. Unfortunately after my experience I wouldn't recommend their spray tan service. read more

I've been waxed by Dani and Kelly and both were so efficient and friendly! I'd consider myself an avid wax-getter for the past 3 years or so and reWAXation is by far the best place I'd recommend! The staff are always willing to take you early, and you're out within 10-15 min!!! Also they have a deal for first-time customers getting a waxing service for $10 off your first visit here! So worth it. I also have the stamp card for cash users that gives you a discount for every $150 you spend! That's just a little less than the total cost of 3 Brazilian waxes (I believe). They also provide fresh wipes for before a wax in case you need them which I really appreciate!! The location is accessible for like 3 different bus routes as well (43, 5, and 31). It's easy to get to from all over the city, it's efficient and pleasant, all the staff I've encountered are kind and helpful, and everyone's great at putting you at ease. The lady who did my spray tan was really nice, they offer wine while you wait, and the facility was clean. However, the spray tan itself was horrible. This was my first and last spray tan at reWAXation. I followed aftercare perfectly, however it would of not matter. The spray tan was super patchy and I looked like a zebra on my arms and back. My esthetician was Imani and she was amazing! She asked questions about what I wanted and shaping (rather than just 'cleaning them up' as many places do). Alex is a super star! This entire waxing parlor feels clean and is super inviting. Alex keeps her area super clean and provides the most thorough waxing services I have ever gotten. I've been looking for an affordable yet good Brazilian wax salon for so long and I finally found the jackpot. This place is incredible, I feel so safe, sanitary, and comfortable around the estheticians (I've seen both Alex and Kim and they're both wonderful). I've tried both waxing and sugaring here - Sugaring is usually very expensive at other places but this is such a great deal plus if you're a returning customer they have a discounted price. I have low pain tolerance but the estheticians are so efficient with their technique and don't leave behind a single piece of hair. I also struggle with ingrown hairs and they do extractions each time leaving my skin feeling super clean. I've been getting brazilians for years, and I've been coming to Rewaxation for about a year and a half now, mostly out of convenience. Most of the waxers have been pretty good - some better than others. On my last visit though, I had the most terrible experience. My waxer had the wax so hot that it felt like it was burning my skin. When I told her, she casually apologized and told me it wouldn't actually burn me. She turned down the temp, continued waxing and did a super messy job. I could feel the wax getting way too hot again near the end but thankfully it ended before she could burn me again. It was the worst brazilian I've ever gotten. Some staff are better at brow waxing than others - Alex and Danni really know how to shape a man's brow! However, it is incredibly offensive to get a phone call at 3:02, asking me why I'm not there yet for my 3PM appointment and telling me if I am not there by 3:05, I shouldn't bother to show up at all. REALLY??!!! I've gone to MUCH higher end spas and salons, plus doctor's offices and other places, where I've been more thsan 5 minutes late, and it's ok. Now 15 minutes late, I can understand...but FIVE MINUTES??!! In a city with unpredictable traffic and parking??! Plus, I've waited there on several occassions for more than 5 minutes after my appointent time to receive my service..guess there is no policy about THAT. And when I asked to see the 5-minute policy, because nothing is visible at reception, they could not show it to me. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience (as pleasant as a Brazilian sugaring experience can be). The service was quick and virtually painless (note: this is subjective and dependent on your pain tolerance). Let's face it, getting waxed can be a bit awkward.
