I booked a "Facial Contour Drainage / Five Element Meridian Head Spa" at Rewind Head Spa and the experience did not match the description or justify the $200+ price. The service felt basic and did not resemble a structured lymphatic or meridian treatment. There was little to no explanation of the techniques being performed, and it was unclear that staff had a strong understanding of the service they were providing or describing. I was shown scalp images and told I had "hair loss" and that my scalp was now "dry," along with a recommendation to use a serum. However, no meaningful context, education, or specific product information was provided--only that the products were "chemical-free." There was also a lack of transparency around pricing. I was asked if I wanted to have my hair curled while blow drying, assuming it was included, but was later told styling would be an additional $30. I ultimately left with my hair not fully dry and quite frizzy. Overall, the experience lacked professionalism, transparency, and alignment with what was advertised. In addition, the pictures did not reflect the look/aesthetic of the actual spa. I would not recommend this location as I do not feel it was worth the cost. It was very disappointing to say the least for my first head-spa experience. Update: After my initial review, Rewind Head Spa reached out to acknowledge my concerns and offered a chance for me to come back for a redo or a partial refund, which I appreciate as a gesture of accountability. I do want to recognize their effort to address the situation and take responsibility for parts of the experience. That said, my original experience remains unchanged. The service did not align with what was advertised, and there were still gaps in transparency, communication, and overall execution that would make it difficult for me to recommend at this price point. I've been to head spas before and this one felt very basic, just like an expensive head wash. I also had a facial guasha and a guasha was never used - Elizabeth did exfoliation, massage, sheet mask... but guasha was never used and I paid $60usd for that. The treatment was not explained in detail, I was offered a blow dry at the end just to learn mid-way that it was a light blow dry w/o styling... my hair had a lot of frizz... worst blow dry that I've ever had. I brought my friends here expecting a relaxing afternoon, but we left feeling disappointed and honestly a bit embarrassed by the experience. I've been to several head spas, and this one did not compare. It felt more like an overpriced hair wash than a true, relaxing treatment. Throughout the service, there was little to no explanation of the tools or techniques being used. In fact, it seemed like the same tool was used the entire time, and at moments it felt more like my scalp was being scraped than cared for, which was uncomfortable rather than soothing. Additionally, the owner strongly encouraged us to write reviews, which made the situation feel awkward and pressured. Sadly this is the first time I've wanted a hair service to end early - I did not find this experience to be relaxing or worth the cost. The item used to massage my scalp and neck felt like brass knuckles, the shampoo was strangely lathered from my hair to my shoulders, and perhaps worse of all, I felt like I was being waterboarded when water was continually sprayed onto my face (I had water up my nose) and eye towel. There are more reputable head spas in the Seattle area that offer better technique and service. read more

The workers were kind and caring with my massage. It was very relaxing! They did have a slight problem with scheduling the first day I tried to come in. They remedied the issue, but I do suggest calling to schedule and or make sure they have your reservation. read more

Two weeks ago, I visited this place and left my honest feedback on Google as shown in the screenshot. However, the feedback has been deleted and is no longer visible to the public. I suspect the merchant may have paid Google to delete it, but I can confirm that my genuine review was removed, while the remaining reviews are all 5 stars. Regardless, I am reposting my feedback here! I usually don't leave negative reviews, but I have to say I was quite disappointed with this place. While the decor may look nice on the surface, a lot of the materials used are actually very cheap. I noticed a strong smell of formaldehyde (I work in renovation and I'm very familiar with these things). These cheap materials weren't given time to air out properly, which can be harmful and even carcinogenic. On top of that, all I really got was a basic hair wash, and the service was just average. There's no reason to be paying $70 for this--it's overpriced for what you get. Now, let me respond directly to the merchant's reply to above feedback in screenshot. The merchant stated, "we could not find any record of your visit," which is because the Google account I used doesn't match the name I used during my visit. I have payment records to prove my visit. The merchant also said, "and your feedback does not align with our standards and practices." What do you mean by "standards and practices"? Does it mean only positive reviews are considered "standard"? I am not looking to argue, but the fact that my review was quietly removed makes me more convinced of the owner's lack of sincerity. I had a wonderful experience. The owner greeted me right away. The appointment was for 1 hr. I received a scalp analysis, then I had a relaxing shoulder, neck and scalp massage. The shampoo and conditioning treatment was heavenly. You will feel relaxed and your scalp feels great. I highly recommend this! read more

Save your money. They ended up beginning the service 45 minutes after my appointment time. The body wrap was damp and none of the linens smelled freshly laundered or even clean. After I laid down the gentlemen spent a good two minutes waving his hands above my face? I thought he was checking to see if I was awake? Wasn't the case because he kept? Waving?.. He spent 1/3 of the service playing in the water bowl. I spent 80% of the service with a noisy drain chugging in my ear sounding like a keurig brewing coffee. Speaking of which, the hospitality was non existent. I wasn't shown where the bathroom was or offered water, which isn't usually an issue but I was paying $140 for this service so I expected the customer service to be great. While brushing my hair the gentleman was experiencing significant trouble and I was borderline about to ask if he wanted me to do it. My hair type is 3A/3B so it's curly but if someone's working with hair they should know how to brush this type... They added on steam to my service for free but I wish they hadn't because I was waving the steam away so I could breathe for a second every few seconds... when we were finished the gentleman began drying my hair but HUGE red flag- he didn't start with any kind of oil or heat protectant. He began blow drying my hair with no tool or brush just simply the blower and his hand. I walked out of there after 3 whole hours and my hair looked like a literal lions mane the way it was frizzed out and puffed up. To add, the gentleman had not a singular idea what we were looking at or what he was showing me on the scalp scanner. He was literally counting my hair strands from a follicle and saying "see" as if that meant anything at all? There was visibly still dry skin on my scalp and build up at the end but I was so upset I just wanted to leave. Not for a singular second was I comfortable (forget being relaxed enough to fall asleep). Cried the whole way home and I will never book a head spa appointment at any salon to avoid risk of this in the future. My back hurts from the table and I don't even have a sensitive back. The hair "styling" station chairs were wobbly and upright uncomfortable. Waste of my hard earned money and lesson learned the hard way. Don't go here, go to a LICENSED hairdresser who aims for quality customer service. read more

I have been looking for a head spa place ever since I've seen it on social media, and I was very excited to try this place. It did not disappoint! My sister and I both made appointments during their soft opening. The moment we arrived, the staff greeted us and had quickly set us up for scalp analysis. They were thorough and discussed our scalp health and gave us tips on how take better care of our scalp. After that, we proceeded with the treatments -- I did the deep clean, and my sister did the herbal relaxation. I was offered a warm compress over my eyes during the entire treatment. It was so relaxing that I tried so hard not to fall asleep. My scalp was massaged thoroughly, steamed, washed, conditioned, and then dried. It felt amazing (and smelled amazing too)! After, there was another scalp check, and I can see how much cleaner my scalp compared to before the treatment. The staff (I think her name is Mia?) continued to provide tips to prevent build-up on the scalp. Overall, I had such a great experience here. The staff are so lovely and really welcoming, and the place is very clean and comfortable. read more
