Ive had these services previously through a local dermatologist but Polly makes this feel like a spa treatment. Going to Mod Skin & Body was a treat from the boy for Christmas. I received a gift certificate for a massage and facial w/micorderm. All in all it was nice. The massage and facial were great themselves and the staff very friendly and professional. NOTES: Located in a strip mall between businesses. Sadly, while getting my massage you could hear the restaurant next door and what sounded like a chain saw going off several times. The masseuse apologized because hey it's not their fault but it's something to make note of for this location. It wasn't very peaceful. I had to change my original appointment due to work schedule and man they are booked out! It took 4 months to finally get in an appointment after changing it. Gal at the front desk forgot I had both a massage AND facial that day. Glad I overheard and spoke up. Facial was great - I had never had one before. The microdermabrasion made my skin feel very smooth but unfortunately due to the sensitivity of my skin my face was red and looked sun burnt/dry for a couple days afterwards. I personally did not get any hard pressure sales/products pushed on me but while I was in the waiting room saw someone else getting this treatment big time. They didn't even note how much the products were but kept pushing the guy that he needed them. I'm glad I escaped that one. All in all this is a nice place and they do indeed have some good prices. Not sure how soon I will return as it's not a "spa" which I prefer but it's nice to have a place like this in the neighborhood. read more

I took my mom during Mothers Day weekend and booked the Lola Spa package, which includes a 50min massage and a refresher facial. Booking process: easy peasy, and super friendly and convenient! Although just know they ask for a credit card number in case you cancel last minute they charge a fee, which was fine with me. Massage: I wish I could remember the name of the masseuse that worked on me because she was AMAZING!! I've been to plenty of massage places and she was so calming and my neck and back felt so refreshed afterwards!! Definitely the highlight of the spa experience Facial: She was so friendly and gentle with my skin, and she chose products that were suited with my sensitive, dull skin. It was my first experience with a facial so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it felt great and my skin was glowing! Overall the staff was very friendly and the massage was absolutely amazing! I have the VIP lash experience which is super convenient. You are charged for 2 fills at the beginning of the month and then you schedule out. They are getting pretty busy because they have an amazing lash artist, Stephanie. Last week I just got the best fill I've ever had in the 5+ years of having lashes. And her lashes stay on really well. I highly recommend getting lashes here (but just let me book my appointments first) As you can see in my photos, I do nothing with makeup or anything else to my face. Tried this day spa based on it's Yelp reviews and was not disappointed. The initial booking process was easy and gave me confidence because a) they had a pretty full schedule which told me they have clients, and b) I immediately received text and email confirmations. I also received an email and phone confirmation the day before my appiontment. When I arrived at the spa my first impression was it was serene, clean and comfy. A little oasis in a strip mall. Polly greeted me warmly and had me fill out brief new client paperwork and offered me a beverage. My appointment with Clair started shortly after my appointment time, and she escorted me to a clean, well appointed private treatment room. Now the fun begins! Clair gave me a wonderful facial (the Rejuvenation) and briefly explained each step of the process. It also included a foot, shoulder, arm and neck massage - bonus! The treatment table was warm and like laying on a cloud. At the end of my treatmemt I felt relaxed and was pleased with the results when I looked in the mirror - I definitely looked and felt refreshed! As most spas do, she offered upgrades but was gracious when I declined. They had a good balance of letting me know what other treatments and products were available, without heavy pressure to buy. My monthly massages with Elizabeth are awesome! Signed up for membership to get a great deal. Elizabeth uses different techniques with cups and stones depending how I'm feeling. The spa is small but efficient in their use of space. The services are good. It's their aggressive sales tactics that are super questionable. I'm use to the hard sells on products at the end of the visit. It's not pleasant but you avoid at all possible costs. There is a reason there is never a price tag on them. Unfortunately my latest treatment turned into a problem. I usually opt for the add ons during the treatment because it's usually under $20. This time my facial was double due to one recommendation during the process. I was shocked. If your going to add another $100 to someone's final tab it would be ethical to inform the customer when doing your sales pitch instead of brushing off costs as no big deal. read more

The spa service was average. When I went to check out there were products on the counter that were for my daughter for follow up ... There was never any talk about the cost of the product or any pricing on the bottle. I thought this was part of the package. When she rang up the bill I thought it was very steep but there were a lot of people in the lobby so I didn't want to say anything at the time. I asked for the receipt as I wanted to see the itemized pricing as I was trying to figure out why my bill was almost $300 more than what I was expecting. They told me they would email me the receipt. When I didnt' get a receipt I called and then I was told that yes the products cost extra and that I was told that then. I said no I would very much hear anything about $$$ and I never miss when product pricing is discussed and that there is no price tags on any of the things they sent home with my daughter. I said I wanted the receipt. I went back and was refunded $ 300 of extra charges ! Very deceptive... Then they couldn't put it back on my credit card right away because it was a Saturday. I will see if it shows back on my credit card on Monday if not... I will put a stop payment on my card... very deceptive practices... very shady. I need to learn to read yelp reviews first before trying a new place... as it seems that someone had the same experience 5 days ago ! read more

If you are purchasing a gift certificate for someone from this spa/salon be advised that if the price of the services increase after the gift certificate was purchased they will ask the person you purchased it for to pay the difference. I was gifted a very expense 3 hour spa day, the person who bought me the gift card was even generous in giving the salon tip money as they didn't want me to pay a thing. The gals that did my services were nice, I have no problems with them individually. Upon finishing my spa day the gal at the front desk informed me the service rates had gone up since the gift card was purchased. I said by how much, she said $40. Keep in mind the gift certificate wasn't expired, there were no terms stated on the gift certificate, nothing other than who it's from and to and for what services, along with tip included! I said the tip was included right, wondering if she was going to tell me it wasn't since I had given it to her when I checked in. She paused and then said yes but if you don't pay the difference it eats into the tip. Lame. I paid the $40 because I didn't feel it was fair to the two girls who had done the services. As a business owner who gives out gift certificates myself, I would never ask the customer to pay the difference because my prices went up. Shame on you guys. You should have honored what the gifter purchased for me and not have asked me to pay the difference AND penalize the clinicians if the difference wasn't paid. No bueno. read more
