You know how everyone compares car salesman to snakes in the grass? Well, the sales manager, Muncie Powers, at Rex Perry Autoplex is a copperhead in the leaves that you never even see until you step on it and get bit. I put a deposit down on a car because I was waiting on the sale of my vehicle to go through with another dealership. After giving it some thought I decided I wanted to trade my vehicle in on the car that I put a deposit down on because Muncie gave me a (verbal) comparable offer. I was asked to bring my car in to finalize everything and work the deal out and Muncie ended up changing my original offer, which changed the numbers we had already discussed. I wanted to think it over before I pulled the plug and before I left the dealership, he handed me a check for the deposit amount that I had put down, which I immediately clocked as a red flag. Shortly after leaving the dealership, I made the decision to go through with the updated numbers and called the dealership to let them know I would be by the following day (it was 15 min prior to close). I was transferred to Muncie's voicemail so I called again the next morning at 8:30 AM and was told that he had customers in his office and that he would call me back. After not receiving a call back I ended up calling the dealership again and was told Muncie had already left for the day. I was then transferred to my salesman, Jeremy (which I have nothing but GOOD things to say about) who informed me that Muncie sold the car that I was trying to buy. My family has purchased numerous vehicles from Rex Perry in the past. My dad currently has a vehicle sitting at the Rex Perry service department that's waiting on $3,500 worth of repairs and my mom is awaiting an estimate from Rex Perry on a trade in since she's currently looking for a Denali Acadia. We like to do business locally when we can, but when the locals you try to do business with could care less about earning or even keeping your business and are only looking to make a dollar, it's very discouraging and disappointing. If you're looking to buy a car just find the best deal, which isn't going to be at Rex Perry unfortunately. read more

Chad on the Internet team offered us less than half of the Kelly Blue Book value for the car we tried to sell them. Then he got indignant when I called him out for being unfair. Refused to buy the car at that point saying they wanted everyone to be happy. That's complete BS of course. Do not recommend doing business with their internet team! read more

We dropped our car off on a Thursday evening. I asked them to check our car for codes or Recalls. Friday I was contacted that our car was ready for pickup. Saturday I dropped my wife off and a bit later she calls me saying, she got in the car and started to leave. But then noticed check engine lights didn't go off!??? DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I am SO SORRY I EVER BOUGHT A VEHICLE HERE.The sales and finance people were OK but the service department is a NIGHTMARE to deal with. Unless you want to wait 2 hours when you get there first thing Saturday morning for an oil change. Also, I had a HORRIBLE experience today when I brought in the car to see if my tire was covered under warranty. I brought it in at 8 am when they opened and the "service zombie" tells us it may be later in the morning before we could get an answer. We said fine. What he didn't tell us was that there were several people ahead of us and that it would take 5 1/2 hours to get an answer, which was no. He didn't tell us there was only one service tech on duty and that it would take that long. We came back at 9 am after calling Hyundai because they told us we would be refused. I asked for the keys and the "service zombie" tells us it won't be much longer and to leave the car there. I call 3 1/2 HOURS later at 12:30 and I can't get through to the service department so I have to give the dealership receptionist a message and she seems a.little annoyed that I called twice. He finally calls me back at 12:55 and says we can have an answer by 1:30. He calls at 1:30, 5.5 hours after we had come in the first time and says the answer is no. I chewed him out on the phone and said I was coming to get my car and when I got there he said I would need to wait and sign something before he would give me back the keys. He made me wait again. I have never had such HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE in my life. They need to fire him or he needs to retire because he doesn't know how to deal with people. I had to raise my voice just to get him.to give me the paper he insisted I sign after having waited half a day. Then I had to find a tire place that was open to get a new tire. read more

This was the best car buying experience ever! Our salesman, Mike, at the Hyundai dealership went above and beyond to make this deal happen. The finance department was quick and efficient. Buying a car at a dealership is usually not something I enjoy doing, in fact it's at the top of my "I hate doing this" list, but Rex Perry Hyundai made it a pleasant experience for me and my daughter. We were treated like a customer and not a target. The salesman Javier was more like an advisor. We told him what our needs were and he accommodated us. No high pressure gimmicks, just worked with us. Rex Perry finance department got us a great rate on the loan and put us where we needed to be. Have to admit this was the best car buying experience in my life. We received a mailer that said they were interested in our car for a trade-in. We weren't really thinking about car buying right at this moment, but figured out...why not go look. We called ahead as they close fairly early for those people who work until 6:00 PM. We were put in contact with Jeremy Adams who made sure we would be taken care of. We rushed up from Lufkin after work and Jeremy was waiting. We were interested in a Kona or something similar that could tow "something". Our other car is very nice but towing it cannot. Funny thing was Jeremy had the car sitting in front of the office that were were interested in and the color with thought was nice in the online photos (there were 6 to choose from). We took it for a quick spin and had great conversation with Jeremy about personal things as well as car facts. We took a quick look at the other vehicles but we didn't want to take up much of their time because it was getting late. We were introduced to Art Rodriquez, General Manager who completed the transaction. This was a very effortless transaction and everyone who helped (which I forget the other gentleman's name --- sorry!!) are there for the customer. Even the cleaning crew were very nice. NEVER WILL I EVER bring my vehicle to be serviced at Rex Perry again. a simple day job has turned into a nightmare. they aren't ordering my parts, my car got pushed aside for one of their buddies in the middle of the service, and they have a nasty attitude. they don't return phone calls and when you finally get them on the line they turn you in circles. My husband just called to cancel service plan with them cos we just found out that we have service plan with them after one year we trade that car in...we was moved out to OK a week after buy their car how come we need those Services from them? If we knew that we have it we'll just said NO but they don even tell us detail they just put it in without asking if we want it or NOT, it's cost us 3K For nothing even we never ever do any sevice with them even an oil change ??? called them and tell them everything true that we never know that we have that service plan until we trade in that car, they said we can cancel but no money back...That called CHEAT on customer OK???....i would tell all my friends and family in Nacogdoches about that don ever go THERE......this car dealer Owner or manager never care about if we go back for their business or not they only care they will get MONEY... read more

The Service Department employees are always courteous and very helpful. I am always impressed with their promptness and eagerness to help.

I couldn't ask for better customer service. The waiting room is comfortable equipped with a t.v. and friendly staff.

You ever heard the story your not going to believe this. Brought 2015 Hyundai in for seatbelt recall. It was working fine when I brought it in. Service person told me they only had 1 Hyundai mechanic and earliest appointment I could get is about 3 weeks out. 1st Appt.- after service, seatbelt alarm dings every 30 seconds. 2nd Appt.- after almost 3 weeks to get back in, seatbelt doesn't ding but won't latch. 3rd Appt.- made seatbelt latch work but had to make warning light ding again. Said they had to order part. Was told part would arrive in a couple days. Almost week later I called service to check on part. Service said they would check and call me right back. 2 hours later service guy calls me back to ask me what I called about. I reminded him. Hour later service calls back to tell me the part just came and earliest appt. would be almost 2 weeks. Service people are nice enough but this is ridiculous. At this time I would not recommend these people to anyone. PS. In the middle of this I called Hyundai Corp to complain. Was told I would be contacted within 4-5 business days. Over a week goes by and I call them back with my reference number. Person informed me that they called 1 time and no one answered. End of story. read more

This is my first negative experience at this dealership in 12 years of patronage. My 2016 Yukon XL was in for first servicing. It was returned FILTHY inside and out. My seat was set to lowrider/recliner position, displays were 'adjusted', the radio was set to turn on LOUD and tuned to a station that I would not want my wife or kids to hear. A half-used bottle of dealership brand water was in the cup holder. All contact points in the driver's area were grimy with oil and the leather smelled like I had been hunting hogs without a bath for three days. This is not my hunting vehicle. It took two days to get the smell out of the leather. I rated the dealership 1/5 and 1/10 for this specific experience, but I know many of the people there and believe they usually are top notch. Don't take your car here for service. I called repeatedly to try to help my son, who is going to school in Nac, repair his car. The service dept was sketchy and came up with all sorts of procedures that involved numerous initials--"the PCM/ECM needs adjustment" and the "EFI & TBI lights need to be checked". We asked to get his truck inspected. Paid for the work. Guess what, the truck was never inspected....you know why, the muffler wouldn't pass. So after having the truck in their shop for a week, it still needs work AND hasn't passed the inspection. Save yourself the misery, take your vehicle to another repair shop. I'd give them 1 star but for some reason yelp won't let me. read more

Dealing with Rex Perry Autoplex is a pleasure. Their attention to detail and efficiency makes it a pleasure to go get you vehicle taken care of. I had a scratch on the left side of my Cadillac and it was done in the parking lot or done when the oil was changed. Either way I feel it was done at the dealership. I informed the service attendant that wrote up my order, he came out to look at the scratch and I expected him to tell me it couldn't happen there for what ever reason. He totally shocked me, said come inside and we will get it set up to get it fixed. Unbelievable where in American can you get that type of service. I guarantee you I will be trading at Rex Perry when I trade vehicle. I tell everyone about the experience I had and every one agrees no other dealer would of assumed responsibility and gave the customer a hard time and denied fault. I am a single woman in her 50's. I was looking to buy a slightly used SUV... I was treated horribly by the sales staff... like I needed a man to help me and they didn't even want to take my money!!! I finally just left!!! It was their loss as I went to Gound Chevrolet and they treated me wonderful... I bought a slightly used X-Terra from Gound and they have been great with their service also. I tried to deal with this company for 5 days. When I walked in, I told them what I wanted and how much I could pay. After 5 days of being jerked around, I was told that the closest they could come to my budgeted payment was $100+ more! The car that I was interested in had not been through the shop yet for inspection and detail, which I knew. However, after asking multiple times if the car was ready, I was NOT told that the car would not be ready until the following day. Not only did I waste my time waiting for the finance department to completely disregard my budget, but I wasted a trip to the dealership. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with this company, and never have I been treated with such disrespect. I was flat out lied to by the people who work here. Good luck to anyone who attempts to buy a car here. If I had any recommendations, I would highly recommend you walk into this dealership with a loan in hand from your private bank. read more
