I had Reyes pool plastering re-plaster my pool in back in October of 2024. After filling the pool and a start-up completed ,the plaster started to discolor. I've made multiple phone calls with Reyes telling me someone would be out to look at pool and have " no showed" every time. During the Covid stay at home order, while walking in my neighborhood one morning, I saw a Reyes truck parked at a neighbors house. When the job was done I was invited into his backyard to see his beautiful newly redone pool and got Alfredo's phone number. We hired Reyes fo replaster and retile our pool last month, I came home from work today to find the plaster demoed and new tile installed and Ive never been happier in my life!!! They are awesome!! Im literally in tears as to how amazing it looks so far!!! We bought this house three years ago and the prior owner 'painted' the pool to conceal plaster damage, we've been suffering through peeling paint and tile falling out, but now seeing all that hideous blue paint gone and new tiles set Im so thrilled I cant believe it!!! Received a few referrals from reputable pool companies to Reyes Pool Plastering for pool work. They came out within a few days of initial contact to price job for us. I was pleasantly surprised by our Estimate. I was a lot less than I anticipated. We choose to demo, replaster and Install new tile. They were very helpful through the entire process. A few cons: I didn't like that I had to travel to Van Nuys to choose tile. I wish they would of had some samples readily available to choose from. Also they didn't say anything upfront about no accepting credit cards. Luckily we had cash but what if we didn't? They need to have in LARGE PRINT no credit cards. High end pool Plastering. I called Reyes who originally plastered my pool, because I had a small issue from draining my pool in the winter and "I" caused a blister to develope. The wonderful woman at Reye's referred me to "Lolaly". I have found the best of trades usually deal with other trades that are the best. Lolaly came out while I was draining my pool, and said he was swamped (the best are always busy) and said he could come out in about three days, after I was done glass beading, and sand blasting my pool. Well Lolaly came out and said my "blister" was so minute, that a repair would probably not adhere, to such a small imperfection. He then instructed me on how to lightly "re-burn" my plaster...it worked like a charm..!!!! Lolaly also explained that I need to use a combo brush (steel and nylon) on my plaster, when brushing my pool. Kinda like when a woman exfoliate's her skin. When it is time to re-plaster...Reyes will be my "go-to" company. I am sure each pool is like a child, with no two being exactly the same. Reyes has the "best" prices, for the "best" work....ROCKIN !!! read more

Searching for someone to replaster our pool, we were recommended to look at Reyes pool plastering. They were the only quote I asked for because I very much trusted people who suggested them and also because the price was better than I was expecting it to be. I was immensely impressed with every aspect of their service. Starting with the quote process, the woman (Kate, if I remember correctly) in the office who is your contact on the phone who schedules and keeps you apprised of the process and timing , and every member of their team. They could not have been any more professional. They did our pool in 3 days . Day one was demolition of the old plaster. Day 2 was tile replacement. Day 3 was for plastering and starting to refill the pool. They gave very specific instructions on the correct way to fill the pool so that you would not have problems with streaking or damaging the new plaster. The owners came out during the process to check on things and to answer any questions we had. Every person on the crew was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and polite. They have a different crew for each step of the process so each crew knew and performed their jobs extremely well. I would give these guys 10 stars and highly recommend them to everyone! As a side note, the whole process if done properly costs much more than just the replastering process. Reyes came in a little less than the the quote due to the tile we selected. They recommend getting a professional service to do the pool startup. If I remember correctly I think we needed to use a professional service for them to provide a warranty on the plaster. I thought they were just talking about using a pool service in general but in actuality there is a specific way and service to start up the pool after plastering. Afterward I realized this was an important part of this process but it was an added expense that I wasn't expecting. But again it is a very important part of doing this correctly and worth doing! We selected and they agreed that Mac's pool is the best for this job. Don from Mac's pool came out and gave us a quote of $650 for the pool startup. But it ends up being worth every penny. I don't believe there is anyone better or more knowledgeable than Don at performing the service. Don came out everyday over the next week or two to adjust the chemicals, start the equipment, adjust everything and anything else that would affect the plaster. So be smart and don't try this yourself as I had planned to do because I had no idea of the proper way too perform this startup and would have probably ruined the new plaster. It was worth every penny but it was unexpected so expect it and do it! Lastly our pool sweep needed to be replaced. I knew these things are expensive because I had purchased the last one. This new one cost us approximately $750 after the rebate. So do anticipate that there are extra services and companies needed after the replastering. But these costs are not attributed to Reyes Pool Plaster, they are just part of the process and doing things correctly so expect them and do them. In summary, Reyes pool plaster is the best at what they do and I would highly recommend them. Ten stars! !#!# read more

Professional, professional, professional. I just had the pool done and can now go swimming. Today was my pool guys second regular day. He said it was the best plastering job he has seen and will recommend them. He said there is an additive that most plasters are too cheap to put in the last coat. The first day he cleaned it he was amazed that there was hardly any plaster dust. The crews came in as promised and got their work done. Their excuse was it was the water! Really? Last I checked I believe you're supposed to have water in a pool. We had Reyes Pool Plastering redo our pool a year ago. We wanted a pool with a blue bottom. We followed their instructions to a tee after having the pool installed. We noticed that the pool started to streak after a few days. After a year, the pool plaster looks like a streaked mess. It was an awful job and our pool looks like a 2-year old plastered it. I am very very impressed. Our pool was a ridiculous mess when we bought our house. Someone had covered the plaster with some kind of fiberglass paint and the result was a streaky mess that looked terrible, as well as a million itchy fiberglass strands in your legs and posterior after going for a swim. The seal around the coping was a dried up shriveled thing and the jets were cracked and yellow. Just a mess. We got three quotes and Reyes came in the lowest. I usually don't choose the lowest bid, I try to go middle ground if I can afford it, but I was most impressed by the man who did the bid. First off, both other companies who bid before Reyes made a big to-do about the fiberglass, saying it would increase the difficulty and would be more expensive. The Reyes guy didn't bat an eye. I was also thinking about pebble tech instead of plaster and he said he noticed I had very young children and he was worried they would hurt their soft feet on the pebble tech. He could have made more money recommending the pebble tech, but he evaluated my needs first. Very impressive. They did have to reschedule once but ended up pushing my plaster date up sooner afterward, and, hey, things happen right? Lets cut everybody a little slack and not get excited about little things. The big stuff is the quality of the work, and I was also very impressed there. First of all, I am a neat freak. I accepted this was going to be a messy job, but I was thrilled when I came home on the demolition day and saw the workers washing everything down while they were finishing. I think it might have been cleaner than when they started! The workers were pleasant and sweet to my kids who wanted to know what was happening. The tile installation was impeccably done and the plaster is smooth as silk. I want to touch it but it's not cured yet, but I can hardly wait!! These guys took an absolute wreck of a pool and made it look brand new. And they kept all of my garden looking clean and pretty too. Wow! Thank you so much Reyes guys! It is high end work at an affordable rate (we got many quotes and his rates were right in the middle of the range for what turned out to be an incredibly beautiful high-end job). They did an outstanding and truly beautiful job on the stucco at my property in St. Francis Wood on San Anselmo Avenue. We used a La Habra Crystal White which was probably more difficult than they had anticipated when quoting the job. Everett is a true professional and handled delays and other obstacles with patience. Reyes was very quick to get my business but a month after my pool was redone small rust spots started to appear. I had chemicals checked and everything was fine. I have called the company every couple of weeks since May and am told that someone will call me back. It has yet to happen and it is nearly November. I would not recommend this company. They are quick to take your money but God forbid there is a problem because the don't have any decent level of customer service. read more
