The estimate was ridiculously high, which was dissapointing because I used to use their services previously in the past. Plumbers like barbers nowadays are pricing themselves out of jobs. I called another company and got the work completed for a fraction of the cost and I spent more time talking with the plumber after the work was completed than the time it took for my repairs to be completed. From this experience alone I will not use The Plumbers services again and my refrigerator magnet with their contact info is going in the trash!

I hired Econo West to replace some parts in my heating unit while we were in the middle of a…read morekitchen renovation. Unfortunately, after the repair, one of the parts they worked on caused a significant water leak that resulted in substantial water damage to my home. To their credit, Econo West came back out and corrected the issue with the heater. The bigger problem came a few weeks later when mold began appearing in the walls affected by the water damage. I spoke directly with the owner and went back and forth with him about the situation. Rather than taking responsibility for the mold damage, I was told that I couldn't prove their leak caused it and that the mold could have already been there before the water damage occurred. The owner also wanted to speak with my contractor because he was concerned that we were trying to get an excessive amount of money out of the situation. Ultimately, I had the damaged areas repaired as part of my renovation and decided not to pursue the matter any further. Had I not been doing renovations, I might have pursued it more, but at that point, the time and stress involved simply weren't worth it to me. I'm leaving this review because I think potential customers should know about my experience. Mistakes happen, and I appreciated that Econo West returned to fix the heater issue. What disappointed me was how the resulting damage was handled afterward. When a repair causes a major water leak, I believe a company should stand behind not only the repair itself, but also reasonably address the damage that resulted from it, especially when it has the potential to cause damage to someone's health. Unfortunately, based on how my situation was handled, I would not use Econo West again. Edit: In response to the comment below, the drywall was not replaced behind the cabinets like you said. In fact, it was my contractor that completed that job. The fix you guys made stopped above the cabinet and the mold was found behind the cabinet, directly below the work completed by your team. I have pictures if you would like to see for yourself. This was all discussed previously with the owner. If what you said in your reply is in the notes, then they are falsified.

They found some wire underground that they decided to tap into for the job and proceeded to run conduit along my wood fence (it was supposed to be along the house and NOT from underground) which was not what we had discussed as the plan for that job. I voiced my concern about how it was done and they came back out and did the job as it was originally planned to do. The whole time the job was being worked on, my windows were open and I could hear the apprentice complaining about having to dig and how the dirt was hard (I get manual labor isn't for everyone, be professional at least) but they "corrected" the work and that was the last I called on them. Fast forward a few years and we have more work being done in our yard only to discover the wire they ran underground to one of the outlets not only was bare once it was in soil (I was under the impression it was run with conduit underground), but also only buried about 4-5" deep in most places. Although Joe has always been nice when he has been here doing work, his staff comes off lazy and incompetent and the work they completed was a HUGE safety hazard we were unaware of. I don't think I'd ever hire these guys again.

These guys did a great job remodeling my pool. Not only did they deliver what was promised on the contract, but they also did more. They made me a whole new drain that meets current codes (two drains) and took care of some other details that were not foreseen by me. His workers are experienced and do quality work. The pool looks great and I can't wait to start using it (plaster by Reyes Pool Plastering - did not know Barajas Pool and Spa does it all). The owner is friendly and will answer all your questions. They are not one of those business that ask for money up front, but only when work has actually been done (you can set up a pay schedule with them if needed). Not only did they exceed my expectations in terms of design and construction, but they also provided excellent customer service throughout the entire process. Any questions or concerns I had were addressed promptly and they truly went above and beyond to ensure that I was completely satisfied with the end result. We've had the pool for about a year now. Any questions I've had I've been able to text or call Tony and receive a quick response and solution. This man is the best in the pool business! I can't recommend American Pool Construction enough. I don't doubt that as they never finished my project and it's been over a year. I cannot insure my home or pool because they failed to get a final permit. I cannot rent or sell my home because of this mess they left behind. They trashed my backyard and left me with a pool I didn't ask for that's literally crumbling and not functional. I have exposed wiring less than a ft from my pool that they didn't bother to label. It in excusable. Shilo isn't a business person and works off anger or hides when he believes an owner is upset. Try to schedule a meeting with Augie or Shilo and Bernadette will tell you they're busy on a job and will get there when they can as if no one has jobs and can sit at home for days waiting. If you think you'll call them directly, don't bother. They don't give out cell phone numbers for this exact reason. I had to tell them WHEN to call for an inspection because they kept delaying finish work they SHOULDN'T legally have been moving forward on without the inspection. I have no doubt Augie was good at his job at one point but he ran that business. Since his stroke Shilo is unable to keep it afloat. I truly hope that they aren't doing pools anymore. They drained every penny I had for something that was supposed to help me get some relief from an injury. I can't imagine what the other families have gone through.
