I moved from Wisconsin to Florida. Cost me over $9,000. The move out was not the best. Misquoted load time which screwed my schedule up but I finally got out. I called for weeks trying to get a delivery time. The only response was 'well get back to you." When the driver called me, I found out he had loaded out a week before. Reynolds never called to tell me my stuff was on the way. Unload was mayhem. In the end, the laundry list of missing items and damage totaled over $3,500. My expensive insurance policy was worthless and worse was the response from Reynolds, "we're really sorry" but at least they did call me back when I reported the theft. Inspecting everything, it looked like it spent 1,000 miles on a pogo stick. So I'm SOL and everybody walks away with my stuff and my money. I made a poor choice for a moving company. read more

My husband and I have used multiple professional moving companies as we have had to move for our jobs several times in the last 5 years. This company was shockingly incompetent. The people that came to our house to pack refused to pack items which we had previously been told would be packed, packed items that we asked not be packed (including our keys), and somehow "overlooked" so many items that we had to rent a trailer to move what they left behind. They were supposed to have a specialist come out to pack our TVs, however, that person never showed up and we packed our TVs ourselves. We were the most shocked when our belongings arrived in our new house. We discovered that things were haphazardly thrown into boxes and mislabeled. For example, a box of bathroom toiletries was labeled pillows. They did many unbelievable things, such as packing one shoe in one box and its pair in another box, or packing cleaning supplies and pasta in the same box and labeling it "women's clothes". They smashed nice suits and blouses into piles in boxes rather than using wardrobe boxes. They claimed that they specialized in packing delicate and valuable items, however half of my delicate items arrived broken. They packed our entire wine collection, which we had asked not to be packed, said they could not get it out of the truck, and then it was all destroyed due to the heat inside the moving truck. Overall we had a terrible experience and I would recommend avoiding them. read more

I have had an absolutely horrible experience with United Van Lines so far. Let me list the reasons: 1. My initial consultation: despite the fact that it was scheduled weeks in advance and I had received confirmation for the date and time, my appointment was forgotten about. I was willing to let it go as a system failure, but then problems kept occurring. 2. Response time: after reviewing the paperwork and attempting to schedule my move, it took multiple days to even respond to my email. 3. Setting up a pick-up date: despite multiple calls and emails from me, it took almost a week to set up a moving date, which should have been possible via a simple online form. 4. Delivery time: I was told from the beginning of my associations with United Van Lines that I would be able to have delivery on an evening or weekend due to my work schedule. This is the reason I went with this company and is apparently false. 5. Further delivery issues: I was told my delivery would be today, June 3 and I would be called at 3 pm the previous day to set up my delivery time. Despite multiple calls and emails, this time was never set-up and I was called at 9 am the following day, saying they were currently at my apartment. I, of course, was at work, because I was given no notice of the time whatsoever and was under the assumption I would be able to have my move occur after work time. 5. New date 2 weeks later: Now, I have been told my new move date will not be for another 2 weeks. I currently have no furniture in my apartment, including a bed, so this is a ridiculous timeline. I would never use this company again or recommend it for anyone. read more

Our solar development company uses Reynolds Transfer & Storage for both inventory warehousing pre-construction and for transportation of solar components to job sites at the start of construction. They have become our professional, efficient and much appreciated logistics partner and a virtual extension of our operations. To purchase, insure and administer our own facilities and trucks and hire the needed employees would be impractical for our business model. We used Reynolds Transfer & Storage to move back to Los Angeles, CA. The process went smoothly and they kept us informed regularly about the process and where the shipment was. All the items that where moved (which includes dozen of boxes, including books and computer screen) arrived in very good shape. We would definitively use again in the future. read more

Buyer beware!!!! Tthis company is completely dishonest and does not care about how it handles your stuff . They gave me an $800 estimate for packing and it came in at $2,400! I authorized them to send two more people to pack for half a day--$1,600 more! I spoke to the president about the difference and he said we had to do more packing than originally estimated. They bill packing based on boxes used, not per hour--why not ask to authorize more boxes to be used instead of people/hours then? The move itself went horribly. I had two leather couches that were damaged--one ripped very badly. I also had a large entertainment center scratched and the wood was chipped. My freezer's cord was also destroyed. It's okay though because they offered me $.60/pound coverage--a few hundred dollars to cover the damage. ; ) I have a second move taking place in a couple of months and will not be getting an estimate from them again. I know several other people in Madison who will be moving in the near future and I want to make sure they steer clear of this company too. They are a preferred vendor of First Weber realty! I will make sure they hear about my awful experience, but I think others need to let First Weber know firsthand what kind of company they are recommending. Madison, WI read more

We had the worse experience you can imagine with this company. We already moved 4 times in 15 years and this was the worse and most expensive. Let me give you some details: A) Packing of household property : One member of the crew broke a glass vase and unfortunately, my wife cut her foot. We expect that small accidents can happen during packing and moving of the household but we expect to be promptly notified so we can clean the damage and prevent personal injury. We were very concerned since we have a 9 year old, a 5 year old and a 17 month old that walked barefoot though the house!!. A member of the crew packed "forbidden" cleaning products such as opened bottles of bleach, ammonia, aerosols and other chemicals. We had to unpack those ourselves and notified the crew leader. The master bedroom clothing was not appropriately packed since the shoes were placed on top of clean clothes without any paper in between, causing unnecessary stain of the clothing. Silk ties were thrown all together with belts in a box causing damage to the former piece of clothing. Kids markers, some of the them without the cover and unwrapped in paper, were also thrown in boxes mixed with towels causing staining. The United crew from our destination (this was a long distance move) found the furniture poorly padded and indicated that was the reason to find damage and severe scratches to several pieces of our furniture. The carpet of the house was not appropriately covered and protected with consequent significant staining. A sales person came to our house to see that damage and recognized the error. She asked us to clean it ourselves!!! B)Transport of the household: Unfortunately, all our household property was not loaded in a single truck as we were told. The driver indicated that this issue happens frequently during that time of the year since it is very busy for moving companies. I was told that I should not worry since the overflow load was going to be delivered at the same time than the main load. The initial load was delivered within those dates but not the rest of the household as were told. It arrived 10 days later! The inventory of the first load was incorrect and there were over 50 items without tag (more than can be blamed on transportation issues). Several items were missing and it was unclear to us if they were going to be present in the overflow load. This caused additional and unexpected expense. A critical item for us was the vacuum cleaner since 3 of our family members have asthma and our new house had carpet in all the rooms. The vacuum cleaner was one of the items missing in the original inventory. My 5 year old son started to become symptomatic and we were authorized by Reynolds to purchase a vacuum and we were told that we would be reimbursed. C) Transportation of the automobiles: Our contract was signed for two different ways to transport and delivery of our two cars. The first car was supposed to be delivered within 5 days (at a premium price). Both cars were late. The worse part was the manager agreed to reimburse us for additional expenses such as the vacuum, dry cleaner bills and broken items.I was quite naive to pay them after Reynolds agree to reimburse us. Months past by and the manager stop answering my calls and complaints. read more

i was very pleased with our move. Everything went so smoothly and all the staff from the people I talked to on the phone to the movers that day, were all so friendly and helpful. We moved from a 3-bedroom ranch to a 3-bedroom condo about 15 miles apart. We were offered a very competitive rate. Over the course of the move we worked with four different men. Every one was hard-working, personable, of good humor, and very responsive to our questions and requests. We packed most of our own belongings and used both any box we could find from whatever source and standard moving boxes we ordered over the Internet. This created a great jigsaw puzzle that the move leader had to solve to get everything in the moving van. He did so with apparent great skill and without complaint. The van was loaded over the course of two days from both the house and a storage unit. The van was also unloaded over the course of two days. All items were handled with great care and, so far, we have found only one broken glass. We were delighted with the professionalism and care with which our move was conducted. From reading these reviews, we see that not everyone was as pleased. We, however, can recommend Reynolds Transfer & Storage without reservation. read more
