Trico did a GREAT job with origin pick-up but many of our items arrived damaged, which was pretty disappointing, to say the least. However, I worked with them and got some money back, and while I'm not screaming-from-the-rooftops satisfied with the settlement, I am pleased with their professionalism and what they provided. I will say through-and-through that this is a professional group, and they are fairly reasonable. Therefore, I do recommend them; just be sure you pack every last thing thoughtfully and insure your most expensive items. read more

I qas a bit nervous leaving friends and family behind to make the move to Cali. Equally nervous about paying for the right company to get me there. Trico wasn't the first company that I called when searching for quotes and making comparisons but its the one that I chose. Everyone was very nice. They were pretty flexible as well when it came to scheduling the move. Full service was very helpful meaning they make sure nothing was left behind, they packed up remaining items for me. Move took a couple days but from start to finish it was great. I spoke with the mover driving the truck throughout the trip. He kept me calm letting me know where he was and eta. Fantastic company! Will 100% move with them again. Just used Trico logistics to move from Chicago to NYC. Why I loved them: 1. I requested a quote and the next day they were able to pack up my apartment. 2. Their quotes were competitively priced 3. They were able to guarantee a two or one day delivery window for only a small fee that they built into the quote so that I could move on the weekend. 4. I had a couch that was not going to fit in my apartment and they were able to take my couch with the rest of my belongings and drop it off at my parents house in the suburbs before heading out to New York 5. The company that they paired me with on both the pick up and drop off side were incredibly friendly, quick and efficient, and very hard workers. 6. While my stuff was in transit, they sent me text messages along the way giving me updates on where they were. This experience could not have been better! I highly recommend them! read more

I'll start by saying the actual moving crews were excellent! The men who packed all of our belongings did a great job and were very professional. The group that delivered/unpacked our items was great as well! However, working with Trico was very disappointing considering their high reviews here (which is why we chose them). I was given a quote over the phone (after answering detailed questions about our furniture/other items). No one came out to inspect our home before the quote was given (there was no mention of this at all). We wanted all of our belongings packed, loaded into the truck, and delivered to our new home. On the Friday morning the packing was supposed to begin, the crew immediately noticed that the quote was incredibly inaccurate. They had to contact Trico and get everything sorted out before they could begin packing....which ended up being almost 5 hours later. Trico assured me over the phone that our belongings would then be delivered the following morning, a Saturday. We found out late Friday night that wouldn't be the case and to expect the delivery Sunday. The contract states it could take 48 hours to receive your items, but on the phone he assured me at least 3 times that it would be the following day so it was extremely frustrating when we realized that wouldn't be the case. On Saturday we never got an email or call with the delivery details for Sunday (which they are supposed to provide) so I had to contact them after hours to figure out the information. Again, the actually crews Trico hires to do the moves are fantastic! I would just make sure you are getting an accurate quote. Trico contacted me a couple of days after our move and I explained my frustration with the process. They were very professional in handing the issues and refunded some of the expenses. I used Trico for my move from Chicago to Boston, and to keep my stuff in storage for about a month between my move-out and move-in dates. I was really impressed by the quality of Trico's service. They carefully wrap all items in protective blankets and plastic wrap, which allayed any concerns I had about my stuff surviving the move. And when they get to your new address, they remove all of the protective wrappings and take them away in their truck, so you don't have any cleanup hassles to deal with. I was also very impressed with the professionalism and helpfulness of Trico's corporate office. They talk everything through with you before you commit, and are very on top of things throughout the whole process, always ready to provide a quick response to any questions you might have. Scheduling was pretty poor. We agreed on a pickup window (they wouldn't narrow it down beyond 2 days), then someone claiming to be the driver called me in advance and said he would pick up the car a day before our agreed upon window. He had no identification that he was actually working for Trico. That eventually got sorted out, but was frustrating. There appeared to be minor damage during the transport (back wheel was knocked out of alignment). I sent pictures within 15 minutes of drop off indicating the issue, but I happened to miss it on the initial inspection (was in the middle of the workday and right when covid was starting so I admittedly rushed the inspection). Because it wasn't on the delivery report, Trico quickly distanced themselves from all blame. They had someone call to talk through the insurance process, but he spent the whole time trying to convince me not to bother submitting a claim, despite admitting that there was a chance the damage was caused by the transporter. read more

Trico made our cross country move so much simpler than I expected! It was very convenient, and wound up being just about the same price as renting a truck, but with less headaches and hidden fees. The cost was exactly as quoted, the staff were great, the pods were placed exactly where I wanted (even in my tiny apartment parking lot), and all of our belongings arrived as we had packed them in a very timely manner. Whenever you are going to make a huge life change, do yourself a favor and at the very least do some homework! Find out what help you need, who provides that help, and the different rates at which they go for. When my parents decided they wanted to move, I wanted to make sure I could find a company that would give them the best service for their money. We got into contact with Trico and it was a fairly simple process on the telephone, and then we scheduled to estimate the length and size of our move. The gentlemen who stopped by to help us pack and move all the things were very nice and personable. They had bundles and truckloads of equipment and they looked ready enough to move an entire high rise office building. But luckily they had an easier job as we only had about three rooms that we needed to empty out. Anyways, the first twenty-four hours took up most of the packing of the furniture and it took a few hours to load everything onto the trucks. They were so very precise and efficient in placing the largest pieces of furniture in the back and even made use of stacking the smaller things on top of each other. I really appreciated this as it helped us minimize the amount of back and forth trips that we would need to make to deliver everything. After all the things were packed up and taped down, they drove off and gave us a confirmation as well as a tracking number. I honestly did not even use the tracking number because they seemed trustworthy enough, and luckily just the next week we received a phone call and a notice that all of our things had safely arrived. I was certainly concerned about moving all my belongings from Chicago to Austin but Trico made it easy. The customer service on the front end was great and a I received a very reasonable quote compared to the 4 other companies I had quote on my move. The movers called a day in advance of coming to pick up my stuff and were right on time - which is good when your building gives you a 4 hour window. They wrapped all of my larger pieces from my bed frame and dresser to mirrors and tv's, and did a very secure job. Of course I was concerned about items breaking between Chicago and Austin - and was very happy that nothing was damaged. My delivery was a couple days prior to the contract window end date (10 bsns days from pick up) which many other companies were quoting a 15 day window. Marco called me the day prior to give me an estimate on the time they would arrive the following day. They were a little later - maybe an hour or so - but when driving across country, not a bad estimate. He and his colleague delivered all to my new apartment and placed all the boxes in the rooms i requested. They also unwrapped and re-assembled all of my furniture pieces. If I could give it 0 star, I would. I have made a few long distance movings and Trico is definitely the worse one ever! I found this company from Yelp based on all the good reviews and started to talk to its sales associate, Richard Kovjanic early June 2016. When I was communicating with him regarding my moving needs, I told him that I was moving from Chicago to San Francisco and planned to move to my new place in San Francisco on July 1st, 2016. Hence, I would like to receive my stuff around that day. He said that if I placed my order shortly, he could arrange my stuff to be picked up on June 20th. While he didn't promise I would receive my stuff on July 1st, he said they would typically be delivered in the first week of July. Given what he told me, I placed my order shortly and arranged my stuff to be picked up on June 20th. In addition, he told me he would communicate with me throughout the entire process. However, after my stuff picked up on June 20th, he stopped communicating with me. Finally, I got an email from a different person saying my stuff got delayed. After receiving a few delays, I was finally received my stuff on the last day on the contract form, 7/21 (I had to sleep on the floor and had nothing to live with in this period). One of my office desk was broken and two items including one office chair were missing. I asked them about the missing items, but I have never got any response. I will not recommend this company to anyone. read more

You have to give credit to where it is due, and this company is literally at the peak of the performance and service industry. So very happy to have gotten into contact with such a reliable moving company. Trust me, moving is practically like giving all of your stuff to a bunch of people and hoping that they'll deliver it to a certain location without much guarantee. I mean, yeah, they give you their word and stuff but what's stopping them from just leaving with your stuff right! Nevertheless, from the very first moment the receptionist answered the phone, I was convinced that they are a genuine company trying to provide a beneficial service and not just waste our time and burn our money. We had a lot of fragile things that were leaving in boxes, and I was so worried that they would not arrive in one piece. The movers noticed by angst and nervousness and accommodated to the situation which I really appreciated. They applied double wrappings of bubble wrap on anything that had glass on it and made sure that all the corners and edges of glass tables or the televisions were are neatly accounted for. The leader of the group kept in constant communication with the rest of the movers even when they were in separate rooms. They managed to clear out one room in under forty five minutes and that blew me away, given how much stuff was jam packed into that room. The outside shed must have been the hardest part as it had sharp objects and incredibly heavy pieces of equipment that were virtually impossible to be carried by a single person. Some of them weren't even heavy just very uncomfortable to carry. Again they kept in constant cooperation with one another and were able to move out the entire tool shed and pack up the important things in the truck and toss the rest in the front yard. You could tell these guys were handymen because they knew immediately what some of the work tools were. Ultimately, we were very satisfied with the outcome of this move and would totally recommend giving them a call if you are in need of a professional hand in moving. I moved from my apartment to the new house. So I needed a moving company, called Trico Long Distance movers, I found them online and was pleased with their reasonable prices and good rating. I called them on Monday and made arrangements for Thursday next week. They were very happy to help and assured me they would be on time. On Thursday, the movers arrived on time and started packing up room by room. I was slightly worried that they would scratch or damage my newly bought furniture. However, they were very careful. the guys worked fast, they were obviously professionals. When I asked for the bill, they handed it over,and there were no hidden fees. We just planned a move out here and had begun to consider whether or not we should seek professional help for a move. Chicago was great to me but it was time for me to move on. To pursue my acting & modeling career to be precise. Had a full apartment full of stuff at first. Sold some belongings because I figured a total life transfer / move to the west coast wouldn't be cheap.
