The service was good, we were seated right away and a server was prompt in taking our drink order. She spoke little English but was trying and I spoke little Spanish but between the two we made it work. We ordered the fried plantains with skirt steak and the pork rinds as apps. The pork rinds are not the American pork rinds we have where it is mostly soft and some crispy. These were mostly crispy and some soft. But the flavor was good. The fried plantains were our favorite hands down. We both ordered the passionfruit sangria and it was quite refreshing and delicious. I ordered the snapper fillet with sweet plantains as a side and it was a lot of fish but very tasty. The sweet plantains were excellent! My hubs ordered pork chop chunks and the fried breadfruit. He said the breadfruit reminded him of yucca and had more flavor and less starch. The pork chop chunks though were too crispy and hard for him to eat. We ended up taking them home. Unfortunately we had no room for dessert but next time we come I'll definitely save room. The server was great and the place was in the bit noisy solids but not too bad. It is definitely a place I'd go again and try something else. And I'll definitely leave room for dessert!

I started with a Passion fruit Mojito, anything passion fruit is a winner for me:) it was delicious and did what it was suppose to do. Ordered the Kan Kan, which a huge the fried Pork chop and the cut the fatty side to make it more crispy YUM! If you're on a healthy diet avoid this one lol. Of course I ordered it with Yuca, I will always choose Yuca when available. The pork Chop didn't have a lot of flavor, they need to marinate them, it was fried well wasn't too dry, the crispy parts were crispy, I asked for a spicy sauce and it was just what it needed to make it ok. Service was great! The place is very well decorated with a Puerto Rican vibe but not overly done, very tasteful.

My job brought us here for lunch one day. The atmosphere was cute with pictures and decor authentic to Puerto Rico. There was good music playing in the background. We really felt like we were in Puerto Rico for the afternoon. We started off with an appetizer sampler. Everything was absolutely amazing. The bacalao, chicharron, fried cheese and yuca fries were 10/10. It was all so good I could've just munched on that the whole time. My main course was the skirt steak and arroz con gandules. I got a thin cut of steak which looked a little weird but once I bit into this steak I forgot about what it looked like. There was so much flavor and paired with the rice it was even better. I couldn't stop eating this meal. This place was really good. I will definitely come back when I am craving some authentic Puerto Rican food.

We came in for lunch and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance of the restaurant is incredible! We loved the star ceiling, the low lights, and all the decor. Service was good! For my drink, I got tamarind juice. It was sweet, tart, and refreshing. For my entree, I got the stuffed shrimp mofongos. It was a huge potion and absolutely beautiful presentation. The mofongos was dense and flavorful. The shrimp were so tender and buttery. I'm obsessed! We also shared the stuffed plantains as an appetizer and they were easy to share and tasty. Overall, this was a great experience and I'll definitely be back for more!

IF YOU WANT REAL PUERTO RICAN FOOD AND SERVICE GO TO GRILLERS IN KISSIMMEE.

IF YOU WANT REAL PUERTO RICAN FOOD AND SERVICE GO TO GRILLERS IN KISSIMMEE. HAD TO TAKE OUR FOOD TO GO: We were seated fairly quickly but we waiting to be serviced and greeted for 15 minutes. Once our waitress finally came We ordered passion fruit mojitos which were amazing. We also decided to order one alcapurria de jueyes and our meal. When the food came out they only brought out the appetizer and one meal out and didn't bring out the other entree. We were told the appetizer would be out first. We continued to wait but the other entree did not come out. We ended up asking for our food to go because the AC was not working and our children weee fussy. It was extremely hot in there. The waitress even mentioned how hot it was and how my kids shouldn't be in there. I will never return. GRILLERS in Kissimmee is a much better experience with much better food and service. The atmosphere is even better.

Heyyyyyyyyyy you guyyyyysssss!!!! Come through and check out the Puerto Rican culture. This place is very chill, had live music, we sat at the bar and the mojitos were double YUM! We ordered a sample appetizer and we understand they are revamping the menu soon. Service was great, this was my second time here, sip on their IPA it was amazing.

The app platter, the yuca fries, chicken and cheese bites were good..

New addition to the lake Mary downtown area. It's well decorated and clean inside.... Very cool ceiling features it feels like ur eating with an open sky and has shooting stars pretty cool to be honest. Service was busy but friendly and attentive. Place is well maintained and clean. Food, well if you're not Puerto Rican I'm sure you would say it's fantastic but being a Rican myself you tend to be more picky.... For me it wasn't the greatest tasting food but it was above good. We had so many dishes and everyone in the table said it was good but not the best we have had. Would I go back and recommend it ? Yeah I would. Price wise is a bit steep, you do get a good portion for what you pay and the price is understandable due to its location and atmosphere... Great thing is that there is a movie theater walking distance and other things to do with in walking distance it's a great location for a date and then go for a stroll after. They had a band playing on Saturday night which wasn't loud but the music was inviting and fits the theme.. down side is that it can get bit noises with the conversations in each table. In all I recommend the place it's well suited for dates, large parties and family celebrations, also has a bar.

I've been coming here the past couple of months and the mofongo amazing here! Good amount of food for what you pay. Great service from the waitress Mariola.

Ambiance is great, good location in a publix plaza, good for large families, and lots of variety on the menu.

Yummm. We had the pollo milanesa & chicharon de pollo, with yucca frita on the side. It was all uh-maz-ing!!! We went on a Saturday night & enjoyed live music. The ceiling had a starlight show - so nice. Lots of instagramable moments with quotes too. This plaza has a lot to offer as well. You can go walking around after. We ended up at Munchies getting frozen yogurt.

This place is really hidden, I mean I went to middle school not far from there and never knew it was there. Walking in, Pa'lla Voy gives me the same feeling as a small mom and pop shop. They do plate lunches and more there. Truly a variety and personable feeling when you walk in. They're located at 1732 Rinehart Rd, Sanford, FL. I ordered the fried fish with mac salad and sweet plantains. I was really split between the plantains and the rice, however, the owner was so sweet that she threw it in for me anyway. She gave me a huge cup by the way without charging me extra just so I could try it. They had a whole case of desserts too, and honestly who can say no to a giant portion of flan? I paid about $25 for the whole meal and it was definitely enough for two meals. The fish was a fresh fried tilapia topped with onions. You have to eat it fresh, but it was so crispy and flavorful. The mac salad was fresh with bell peppers and a good palate cleanser when eating fried food. The plantains are a good staple. The rice really stole my heart though. It was so good. I would rate the plate an 8.5/10. I also got tamarind juice, which I would rate at a 8.5 as well. Overall, I would rate them an 8.5/10 and recommend anyone in the area to give them a try. They are so sweet and the food is good and a lot for what you're paying.

The cafeteria set up allowed us to see what we were ordering as we walked along and said or pointed at what we wanted. I tried using some of my limited Spanish vocabulary to order our food. We had three plates of food with Fried Rice style rice, Mofongo, Beef, Tostones and Fried Sweet Plantains. For dessert we ordered a White Chocoflan (I don't know if that is the current name) and to drink Passion Fruit Juices. The food was okay. Didn't taste bad but was just okay. The food trays were generously portioned and worth the price - approximately $14. The Passion Fruit Juice was delicious. As one of my favorite juices, I had high expectations. It did not disappoint. I love Chocoflan and only have eaten homemade Chocoflans. This White Chocoflan was delicious. It was not too sweet. Both sides complimented each other well and had a good balance of flavor and texture. We were able to order and pay for our food and drinks in a reasonable time. Upon entering this restaurant I knew that the food was going to be great, because it smelled so good! This restaurant is severed cafeteria style, where you go down the line with different dishes of prepared food on display before you, behind protective glass. A team member on the other side with the food, assists you be gathering together what you point to, as you go down the line. Then they put the food that you pick out into a "to go" container. At the end of the line, you pay for your food at the cash register. Just to make a sure you are aware, a tip is automatically added onto your check when you get to the register. This caught my friend by surprise, because she wasn't aware the tip was included in the receipt until it was too late, and she already paid. You are asked if you want a beverage with your order at the register. You can request a cup of tap water with a lid at this point, but if you don't specify that you want tap water, they may automatically charge you for a bottle of water. They give you plastic silverware with napkins with your meal container. After you pay for your food, you either seat your self at one of their available booths, or you take food with you to go. I got the chicken with white cheese, along with the beans and rice, and I also got some fried plantains. My friend got two dishes with pork and another dish that I can't remember what she called it. My food was so delicious! My friend loved her food as well! The atmosphere here is loud fun. I thoroughly enjoyed the music that they were playing. They also have several large TV's hung from the ceiling. that are playing shows, but I didn't see any closed captioning. The restrooms appear to be just one stall for men, and one stall for woman, and they were kept clean. After I sat down I did see a couple of house flys hanging around our booth. I did see on the wall a sign that said they deliver, but it also said that the minimum order cost for delivery was $300. I'm not sure if this restaurant also partners with meal delivery services. The restaurant is definitely a great place to go and have lots of delicious food! It is also a great place to escape the Florida heat for a little while, as it is kept nice and cool and comfortable inside.

I went with yellow rice, red beans, and sweet plantains. My wife ordered the chicken combo with a side of yellow rice and yuca (her first time trying yuca!). The lady helping us (pretty sure it was the owner) was incredibly friendly and patient, guiding us through the menu like old friends. We paid, grabbed a table, and dug in. My wife took one bite of the rotisserie chicken and declared it the best she's had in ages--juicy, perfectly seasoned, and falling off the bone. No surprise there; we spotted those massive rotisserie ovens spinning away, so chicken is clearly their specialty! She then tried the yuca (boiled and crispy-edged, I assume) and loved it--said it was buttery and addictive. Her yellow rice had tasty chunks of different meats mixed in, and she couldn't stop raving about the flavor. I mixed my yellow rice (a different style from hers) with the red beans on the plate--pure comfort food heaven, rich, savory, and perfectly balanced. The sweet plantains? Outstanding. Caramelized just right, sweet but not overpowering, soft inside with that ideal crisp edge. Every bite was perfection. The place had a great vibe too--clean bathrooms, lively Spanish beats playing, and a casual, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. We're already planning our next visit to try more dishes (that mofongo and rotisserie chicken platter are calling our names!). If you're craving authentic Puerto Rican BBQ and sides done right, Lelo's is a must-stop. Highly recommend--5 stars all the way!

I have to ask, where is the so-called manager who claims to be in charge of the restaurant? Doesn't he see how bad the food has become? In the past, after getting off work, I would often stop here because I have to go to Mount Dora and don't have much time to eat. I always enjoyed coming here. Now, I can barely enjoy my favorite chicharrones. Sometimes they are completely burned, and other times they are not crispy at all. The roasted chicken is also burned on some occasions, while other times it looks yellow and poorly prepared. The mofongo? At 4:00 in the afternoon, I'm told they can no longer make it. Then why even have it on the menu? And don't even get me started on the fish--it has very little flavor and is often burned as well. What is going on in the kitchen? "What is going on in the kitchen? The quality and consistency of the food have changed dramatical The only good thing that remains is the way the women treat the customers. Their kindness and good service are honestly the only decent thing left about this place. That is why I still leave a tip--to show my appreciation for the attention and courtesy they give me. To the owners of Lechonera Latina: if you don't start hiring qualified cooks like the ones you had two years ago, you are going to lose customers to the other restaurants in the area. It is a shame to see a place that was once so good go downhill like this.
