I've been a long time customer of RG Fuel Oil for many years now. I first started using them after I had a bad work related injury leaving me disabled, and on disability. Needless to say, trying to get a heating oil company, much less any company to willing to work with you when you're on a fixed income is almost nonexistent. Through the years, RG has been providing me with nothing short of exemplary service at the most reasonable prices around, as well as being some of the nicest people to boot! Thank you, RG, for keeping this tired old workhorse warm in the winter, and shame on those corporate companies such as Petro for treating people like just another number. RF Fuel Oil sells #2 Home Heating Oil to homeowners & businesses. They have lower prices than most of the companies around. I like that it's a family business, which is a nice change from the corporate ones. They have a minimum of 50 gal's. The price they quoted was the price when they delivered the oil (the next day) on a weekend! Yep, they deliver on weekends! I checked them out and the BBB (Better Business Bureau) shows their rating as A+. read more

First let me start off by saying that RG Oil from So.Plainfield is a terrific oil company to deal with. They are always very friendly and professional. This is a family owned and operated company. The owner George is amazing! I never had home heating oil before b/c I moved from Florida. George, his daughter Dawn, and Paul have gotten me through the toughest winter ever.Their expertise and advise, and compassion have made all the difference. U can order as little as 50 gallons of oil or fill up your tank. I recommend calling for faster service. If u place an order by email it takes 5 days. I called Saturday morning and by early afternoon the same day I received my oil. The price u are quoted is the price u are charged. They have the lowest prices around. RG oil is very honest. I had an issue with my furnace and they even got me a repair man (Family Oil Co.) within 45 minutes from the time I placed my call. They work hand and hand with RG oil. I will continue to use them, and I highly , highly recommend u do the same. read more

Found this company on cashheatingoil.com, used them in November and had no issues. Earlier this week another company was supposed to deliver but was not able to at last minute. We called this company and were quoted at a good rate but delivery wouldn't be for another two days. We said we would call back, which we did within an hour and asked to set up the delivery. We were then told a higher rate, then two seconds later were told the delivery wouldn't be until Thursday, then they said they didn't want our business! We were floored with what happened during our three minute phone call! Would not recommend this company to anyone based on their terrible customer service. read more

I never thought to write a review but 2 years ago we were new owners of a home with oil heat. Our first year we signed up with Petro and didn't like that they kept coming to the house to top me off when I defiantly didn't need it. I looked to other oil companies in the area and found RG Oil with some pretty great reviews. So I thought I would give them a shot. Family run business what's not to like? I was running very low in my tank and I called on a Monday the woman told me we can have delivery on Tuesday or latest Wednesday. Wednesday came and no oil called the office and she assured me the delivery was made. I told her I'm looking at my tank and I'm still at 1/8 of a tank. She then told me then your gauge was probably stuck however I received no paperwork that you came and delivered it I told the lady. She kept assuring me that they came. They did a great job in taking my payment on my debit card. Thursday roles around and still no oil I'm furious at this point I told the woman there is nothing wrong with my oil tank after hiring someone to come over to look at my oil tank to see if that was the problem he stuck is stick in the tank and guess what there was no oil in it!! At first I thought this company was a fly by night thing and I just got screwed. Called back told them my experience and guess what on Friday guess who comes to deliver my oil finally. Look I'm not one to taddle tail on companies that screw up this is not what I do. However when I'm dangerously that low on oil this company had ample time to get my delivery in a few days not a week. Very poor on their part. I have since moved past this and dealing with Petro again. read more

We switched to RG Fuel Oil when our supplier was acquired & became part of a huge conglomerate which didn't care. We love dealing with George & his wife. They are great and always manage to schedule delivery regardless of what time of day (or night) we call. Their pricing is very good! read more

This fuel company is the best. I was in a contract with the worst oil company EVER, and when my contract was over, I stumbled upon RG Fuel. They are like a dream in comparison to the old company. They are so friendly, and honest, and do everything they can to help. They even scheduled me last minute into their delivery for an emergency. I would recommend them to anyone, especially if you are being cheated by another company, as we were. What a difference! So glad I found them! read more

We confirmed the terms and handled all details re. the delivery. The delivery was made when scheduled and the bill was exactly as we had agreed upon. Delivery was the worst experience I have ever had in my life. Received 150 gallons - at least two of those gallons were spilled on my driveway and on the soil surrounding my oil tank. My tank is located underground right by my front door, so now my driveway has an oil spill that has to be avoided when I walk down the driveway and there is a huge oil spill where I normally park my car. Decorative stone on area above the oil tank had to be thrown out because it was contaminated by the oil that the driver spilled - not to mention the now contaminated soil. The area stinks of oil and I am just praying it does not end up in my house or garage. DO NOT USE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PLAY CLEAN UP!!!!! read more
