They did a great job giving my mower a tune-up for the season! Fresh oil, new blade, the works! Highly recommend them. Very nice guys!

I tried to fix my mower myself with limited success so I reluctantly brought it in expecting to eat it big time.

They did the repair very quickly and kept me up to date on status and didn't try to upsarge me a bunch of stuff I didn't need which was a welcome relief. They made sure they had all my information. As you can see in the screenshot they texted me to confirm my appointment. My first clue should have been when the lady behind me was greeted and assisted before me, I realized we were not probably getting the same service but I thought that the man assisting people was rude for not acknowledging me at all, even after we had eye contact. We agreed that my wife and I would not be waiting, and would pick it up in the afternoon. When I got the quote they said a couple of hours. So at around 5:00 I called to see if the service was complete. I was then informed that my vehicle was on the ticket for tomorrow. I completely understand that things come up and life happens, and that my vehicle was not an emergency, or broke down. I was just dumbfounded that they didn't reach out to me in any way! I told the person I spoke to on the phone that I was on my way to retrieve my vehicle. When we got there I went in and spoke with a lady about getting my vehicle. I expressed my disappointment, frustration, and confusion. I did lose my cool and used profanity at the very end of our conversation. I had apologized for my attitude and said may I have my keys please. She agreed with my frustration and then told me my vehicle was being pulled up for me. That's when I freaked out, why in the world would you have to get in my vehicle, adjust settings for YOUR COMFORT, and roll down the windows and move the mirror, just to move the f***ing vehicle literally like a parking space! I just couldn't believe you can't do the service when agreed on, not contact me in any manner saying, Hey we are keeping YOUR vehicle longer, and then act like you are doing me some kind of favor by moving it! Get the f**k out of my vehicle. Needless to say, we did not get anything done to our vehicle at this location, but we did waste time, and effort. Thanks for nothing but frustration! I would a negative number if possible!!

This place is almost like Jiffy Lube Lite…read more They get you in the bay, out of your car and start talking to you about what's under your hood. Then they try to sell you a bunch of stuff. It is what it is and it's fine. Most of the employees I spoke with were professional and easy to talk to, even if I declined most of what they suggested. One issue - a gentleman said I was out of oil. I wasn't. My engine was low and I didn't add any before I drove here because I wanted the to ask a couple of questions and have the mechanic look at my engine, but there was definitely enough oil to get me from my apartment to this garage. After a small back and forth and a discussion about what oil should be added to my car - I asked for the manufacturer recommendation that was printed in the vehicle's manual - this gentleman called me over to the front of my car to show me what a car with actual oil in it looked like. Good for him. I'm glad we got it straight even if he didn't make the point he wanted make. Anyway - if you're interested a first come first serve garage that performs repairs is also available. I declined to get my tires rotated because I didn't want to wait two hours, but the option is there. Going forward - I think this is a good spot for an oil change and some fluids if you're short on time or in a hurry. I'm also going to continue to use my main mechanic for any larger projects and heavy lifting.

The next day they said the engine was blown so we needed to get a new engine and offered us $500 for it. We went back 3 days later we tried starting it and it started however it didn't stay started. So they gave us a free diagnostic and it came back that the engine is blown. In the meanwhile we are renting a rental car. When we found an engine, we called them and found out the guy we were working with was fired and he was the only nice one. Anyway they wouldn't give us a price, then we called corporate then they said they couldn't do the work.

I ran a new car…read moredealership for 7 years, spent close to 20 working as a consultant for dealerships, and currently work for an automotive aftermarket company. That being said, I know my way around vehicles and automotive repair shops. I have a backup car, a 2011 Chevy that has 72k on it. I had a strange noise coming from my right wheel and as someone who wears a cochlear implant, I couldn't discern between whether it was the wheel bearing or a rotor. Since it's close to my office, I thought that I would go ahead and try them. We agreed on 35.00 to check it, and so I dropped it off. Previous to coming to Big O, this car has always seen dealer service at McCarthy Chevrolet and is always garaged. When I came to pick it up, some fast talking, carnival barker type manager comes up and tells me I need coil packs, spark plugs, and sensors in addition to wheel bearings. Next thing I know, I see my car being worked on out in the bay. Nowhere in our initial conversation did I say "go on a fishing expedition". The law is anything above 10% over the estimate the shop has to call you. Then, I find out that they took it on a drive. Big no-no, I was not cool with that. I told the original person not to floor it, as I had ordered a sensor for it and if you floored it, it went into limp mode and you had to clear the computer. I left, disgusted and knowing that I would not return. As I drove the 10 miles back home, I had to go through neighborhoods, as it would not go over 35mph and the tach and speedo were bouncing madly. The last hill at Clare Road and 119th heading south past the beautiful waterfall, I had more people cussing me out as it was limited to about 15mph under load .This was Thanksgiving 2022 and the car has not left Persimmon Hill since, until a mechanic who is related to a friend of mine towed it away a few days ago. That little excursion that the carnival barker took caused my catalytic converter to go out. Thanks Big O, I will never set foot in your business ever again. Lesson learned: take your car to the dealership, these franchises don't specialize in your car and I don't want to give them the reps on my car.
