    Green juice

Lovely spot for a cozy catch up with a friend or to do some work. The green juice was refreshing and not too "vegetable" tasting (which was perfect for me)

Stopped by the Marlton Hotel lobby for drinks and absolutely loved it. The vibe is amazing -- cozy, warm, intimate, and perfect for actually chatting without shouting over loud music. Such an easy, comfortable spot to grab a drink, relax, and unwind. I'd definitely come back!

I recently stayed at The Marlton Hotel for a business trip. It's a boutique hotel located very close to NYU. The style embodies New York, a traditional design with modern touches. Pros - location, design, service Cons - price, size (significant con) The spaces are very small and narrow. When you exit the elevator, you're brought into a stairwell, then you go into a door which leads to the hallway with guest rooms. Thankfully I only had a carry on suitcase - if you have large luggage, this hotel would be a challenge. Not just getting to your room but the rooms themselves are TINY. There was zero space to open a suitcase. I had to place it on my bed, then unpack everything into the closet. There's little counter space in the bathroom so you either have to unpack all your toiletries and makeup onto the small ledge, or put your toiletry bag on the toilet cover while you get ready. Overall service was good. Although I asked maintenance to fix a slow sink drain and they didn't remove the towels stored under the sink, so when I returned to my room they were all wet, which was a bit gross. I was in a standard room which had a view of the wall of the building next door. Including taxes and fees, the cost was over $500/night. Although this is NYC and hotels tend to be expensive and small, the value isn't there. The Marlton was fine for a business trip, but I would not recommend it for a leisure stay.

Overall a decent experience. The rooms and hotel overall are VERY small so pay close attention to the room dimensions when booking. Upon checking in it almost felt elbow to elbow in the entry. The staff were decently friendly, but not super welcoming or helpful. The coffee bar/open work space is a little confusing as far as ordering, so we just kind of figured it out. I appreciate the history of the building and the touches they kept. It's a cool vibe overall. The walls are THIN so be prepared to hear whatever is going on in your neighbor's room.

Prosecco forward cocktail - the name has slipped my mind

A great variety of cocktails and bites to enjoy in a cozy space. I prefer sitting in the bar area but there are tables and a lounge area as well. If you like mezcal and tequila, try the Mezcalita Pina and Zebra Tequila. The turkey meatballs are a nice start while you decide on dinner or more drinks!

Queen deluxe room - cozy and perfect for a trip during which you don't plan to be in the room much,

It was raining the morning of my departure from the Marlton following a two night stay. That's when I discovered possibly the best feature of my cozy room: windows that open! I cracked both to enjoy the sound of the precipitation against the roof. Rooms here are small, bathrooms even smaller. You don't come the Marlton expecting spacious. But what this West Village hotel lacks in square footage it makes up for in charm. I arrived at the hotel needing to be at a work dinner in Gramercy in just over an hour. At check-in I asked for a clothing steamer (Yelper, I always ask for a clothing steamer). Not only did they send one up quickly, the person who delivered it kindly told me he filled it with water so I could use it straight away and I did. On the morning of my departure I went downstairs to find the complimentary breakfast included juice, tea, and a selection of food from which I picked steel cut oats. I'm not typically a breakfast person but I really enjoy this one, especially before a cross-country plane flight. Opportunities for improvement: - Box of tissues somewhere in the room - Deep clean of the hallways (unpleasant smell) All in all, I'd return to the Marlton for its terrific location, helpful staff, and the property's overall charm.

Food has been good every time I have eaten at the restaurant. The tables are far enough apart to be able hear others at your table.

There were 2 different switches and it was confusing to figure out what controlled what. The staff were very friendly. They were able to get us into our room early and they let us check out late. One thing to note: the hotel sits right above a sports bar, so it can get noisy when there's a game on. The gym was a low point. The hotel shares its fitness facility with a Planet Fitness, which feels out of place for a mid-tier Marriott -- not quite what you'd expect from the brand.

Prime location! Modern, spacious rooms (for the city)!…read more The elevators though.... Oy. I stayed at this hotel over the New Years holiday and was thrilled to be so close to Madison Square Garden and Times Square. As was expected, check in was a bit chaotic given the time of year. The ground floor entrance was PACKED with luggage on first arrival. After weaving our way through, we located the check-in desk on the 5th or 6th floor. Tons of people but adequate seating to wait for our room to be ready. An upper floor meant having to figure out their dreaded elevator system. It left something to be desired, to say the least. With only 3 elevators that service the whole of the hotel, and a 4th that goes who knows where, it was almost always a lengthy struggle to catch one. No buttons on the interior of the carriage, all elevators were called with a touchscreen device that seemingly tried to pack as many people as possible into one small space, leaving many behind that couldn't fit, before directing the passengers to another elevator to repeat the whole process over again. One day was so bad, it was actually preferable to walk up the stairs to the 14th floor. Woof. The room itself was wonderful. Spacious, with 2 beds. Very clean. Beautiful view of the city and the arena next door. Great way to catch the sun set. Walk in shower with both an overhead and handheld shower attachment. Great lighting. Shower had heavily frosted glass that faced the bedroom area so be prepared for your silhouette to be on full display for anyone you may be rooming with. Nice sized closet, safe, and mini fridge. Big flat screen television. Window shade worked very well to block out the light if you're hoping to sleep in late. Walls can be a bit thin, especially if you have a rowdy bunch of kids right next door as we did. Aside from the elevators, the perks far outweighed the usual peskier elements (e.g., noise, etc.) one encounters when staying away from home. Would stay here again, perhaps during a less busy time of year, if that's even possible.

The Library Hotel is every bit as charming as people say, but what really makes it special is the team. I arrived by car while the building was hidden behind scaffolding, and the front desk was incredibly kind and patient, helping guide me to the loading area so I didn't spend my afternoon circling the block. Housekeeping was so gracious and helpful throughout my stay, the bartender at Bookmarks very kindly helped my friend carry our drinks down to the room, and checkout took less than 30 seconds. Every interaction was warm, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. The themed rooms are such a fun touch (I loved seeing how each one was inspired by a different subject), but I also have to give a shout-out to the practical things. I took a few work video calls from my room on the 12th floor, and the Wi-Fi was ridiculously good - honestly stronger than the Wi-Fi in my own house when I'm sitting five feet from the modem. Not a second of lag. The TV also had a ton of premium channels, which was such a fun surprise after long days exploring the city. And finally, a standing ovation for the real MVP: the air conditioning. New York was basically a sauna while I was there, and every time I walked back into my room I was greeted by the most glorious arctic blast. It was so good that my friends ended up wanting to hang out in my room and order dinner instead of going back out into the heat. Perfect stay from beginning to end. I can't wait to come back.

Why is this hotel offering a room rate price with breakfast when there is no restaurant for breakfast?! They told me they had bagged breakfast, which was always gone and coffee was all gone too. Took over 10 minutes to wait for new coffee to arrive. Renovation work bright and early at 8am.
