I came in looking for a desk and I found a chair I loved instead. It was on clearance and the store had an extra 25% off sale the ENTIRE store. Right before I was about to purchase the chair, a few sales associates came up to me to tell me that the extra 25% off will not count towards the chair. They said they recently changed their policy. Why have a sign that says the entire store is extra 25% off with no written exceptions on the signs, then tell me right before I buy the chair that they won't apply the sale? Fine, whatever. I get it. Businesses can decide what things go on sale or get extra discounts, but don't have a sign around your entire store that is completely wrong. Also, upon looking at other pieces, I noticed many of the pieces were damaged with scratches or stained. Tables and drawers scratched or chipped, couches with obvious stains, carpets with large visible stains. Left annoyed and empty handed. Don't get ripped off by this place. read more

Unimpressed with this place. I was expecting more of a "showroom" type atmosphere where you can see how to piece things together but instead it felt more like an overpriced flea market. All the furniture is visibly damaged and it's all final sale "as is". We specifically went in to look for a sheet set but their inventory sucked. Nothing matched (king duvet but queen sheets, etc). Lavender sheets but no matching duvet blah blah. The only good thing I saw was great inventory for really nice rugs. That's about it. read more

Not worth the commute, parking is difficult, sales associates are few and far between, limited inventory and a lot of items are damaged...really damaged.I have been to several RH outlet locations and found this one to be substandard by far. While no one has the expectation of new or near new items at an outlet, we were shocked that discolored, dirty, broken, faded, slashed items were being sold at 30% off!!! These items were so grossly disfigured that they could only be restored or repurposed professionally and should have been sold at 10% of the original price. Don't waste your time at this location, other RH outlets have more of a selection in better quality and are appropriately staffed. read more

The prices were supposed to be 30% off of the lowest marked price and apparently someone made a mistake and marked some pillow cases in correctly. The cases originally 99$ and one was marked 58 the two others 68. They wouldn't honor the sticker price. The manager even admitted it seems "anti customer servicy" ... come on ... selling me these at 48 each you are still making a profit. I watched Walmart sell a play station accidentally marked at 30 bucks. read more

I made a few "too" many purchases for my new home beginning May through July this year from this location of RH and I had to comment on how impeccable the customer service was. I met a few customer service employees who helped me thoroughly with this process. I had an issue with a Cloud sofa I purchased back in May and for some reason it did not work out after being delivered in my home however, I communicated back and forth with a woman name Sarah Mulla who was just wonderful. These 5th star is for her. She was very pleasant, diligent and worked very hard to find us the best resolution. In the end we just got an amazing cloud sofa with all matching pieces after 3months but worth the wait. read more

I've made the trip out to RH outlet several times within the past 4 years. Each time the staff has been wonderful so obviously my rating does not reflect their service. The quality of the items; however, are a hit or miss. The duvet, sheets, shams, towels, and rug I purchased are exceptional. They are still in great shape after years of laundering. I also purchased 4 wooden stools and within a few months 3 of them became damaged. I saw visible cracks and the wicker broke through. The stools were not heavily used so it was poor craftsmanship. Even at outlet prices, these were not cheap. I would purchase bedding and towels again but never will I purchase furniture from RH again. read more

I have two kids so leather is not optional for a sofa. If you time it right you can save 40%-60% off of retail here. This place is literally my playground I wanted the Lancaster L sectional in normal depth and in coco color. I wanted until they had the additional 25% off sale and saved 65% on the sofa. Retail it was 10,100.00. Now that is still a sofa that is $4,500.00, but it was delivered that day (pick the delivery guy that is first on the list he is the best and so kind), I got to see it in the shop, and it will retain it's value. I just sold my 5 year old sofa and two chairs for $3,500.00. Can't beat that. read more

Steep discounts but bad customer service compared to the Ontario location. Was in the store for about an hour and was never approached for assistance. The store had pretty light traffic when I was there. I saw 3 sales associates at the counter available and chatting amongst themselves. I approached the counter and waited for 5 mins and had to ask for assistance to get one associate's attention. Even then, the associate was hesitant to assist and tried to dismiss me instead. I don't necessarily expect the same service for an outlet store, but I am comparing the service to the Ontario location. As for selection, the Long Beach location seems bigger but seemed to have less variety of items - at least a very minimal selection of leather sofas. As a RH member, I will not be returning to this location and highly disappointed in the rude service. read more

This is by far the best outlet I've been to. I managed to get a entertainment center and a living room table for $1,500 considering that the entertainment system alone would of retailed for $5000 in-store. The furniture is displayed quite nicely, so it makes the items look more valuable. Some of their staff are pretty helpful, but you'll find one or two who are super rude. The variety is on par, but the key is just to get there super early so you get first dibs on items. I'm SO happy with the items I got and even though it's on the pricey side, it's definitely worth it. Will definitely be back soon to furnish my new house. read more

We recently purchased a few items from them and they had a furniture moving team (separate from RH) in the store to help us with delivery. It's an outlet so there are reasons the pieces are sitting here, being dragged from various stores as slight rejects. It's not The Island of Lost Toys but there will be some nicks and scratches. You really cannot call and find out if that piece you are lusting over online is going to show up because anything can be wrong with it and you'll want to see for yourself. Besides, I want the sales staff to take care of me standing in front of them and not your spoiled, lazy a#s making them hunt all over the store or stock room just for you. Just go and check it out, super fun and you'll find something you certainly never thought of. Have someone stay home to measure walls and spaces. As soon as you see what you like you must flag down a salesperson and get them to slap a hold tag on it for you. You have an hour before it can get snagged by someone else. I have seen items with two AND THREE hold tags on them, each timed within minutes. Sharks circling with credit cards and shifty glances. Outlet Organizing is almost always a horror at outlets in general but here it's all laid out in certain areas: downstairs the living and dining areas, upstairs rugs, bedrooms, kids/baby and bathrooms. Big furniture doesn't get cluttered and tangled. It's the little bits.. Towels are easy to see and grab at a terrific discount. Curtains are limited in color and very little if any hardware for them so kind of forget it unless you have just one window. The curtains are organized by easy to read sizes and placed lengthwise so you can readily read the sizes. Some stragglers are stuffed in the back so definitely dig if you are looking for that last 120" tall 100" wide sheer. The sheets, duvets, etc are a bit of a struggle. The store needs to dedicate each tall square shelf with sizes Queen, King, Cali King - because their colors are so neutral all you really care about is if it will fit your bed. Not what style they are. They can have a placard with the prices so the staff doesn't have to ferret certain sale styles. It's a fun afternoon over there, almost a vacation: you park in the big lot for the Aquarium. Oddly there is no Starbucks or ice cream which makes absolutely zero sense as swarms of people are staring over the whale cruise ships or waiting in line and could definitely use something caffeine snacky. An hour at the outlet may ruin your senses so grab lunch: PF Changs, Bubba Shrimp, Chili's, Gladstones - and as my 6 year old glanced the horizon noted: "mommy. There's a kid restaurant over there. It has an owl outside". "no honey, that's Hooters, it's for big people with big issues." The thing that separates this outlet from the others all of us have hit is the staff. Wow. I cannot say enough about the stellar people I have worked with over there: Amanda the most amazing managing - a star really, David - hilarious with great taste, Fo and Sammy are so wonderful I cannot say enough about them. Helpful, connected and kind. It's a great staff. Although there are some cold bi7ches in there, try to find the happy ones and you'll be in heaven. read more

Bought (4) Bauhaus chairs - saved $15 per. Not great savings, but was at the store and figured, I like them so I will buy them. Never expected them to be so substandard. Cane pulled off after 3 months. Overall experience in trying to get it resolved. Painful, disrespectful, feel cheated. Besides having to deal with the RH's "were cooler than you" advertising and the ridiculous catalogue designed to perpetuate that attitude, not to mention adding to the destruction of the environment, now this- substandard products that they don't stand behind. Shame on you RH. Forever, a lost customer...and will campaign to spread the word asking my fellow citizens to stop supporting your business. I have shopped at the regular locations for years and online and always received great merchandise and service but this outlet is absolutely amazing!!! The staff go above and beyond to assist you and are all very friendly! You get the same quality service as if you were at the regular retail location! Of course the merchandise is a mix and you have to search and be patient to find what you are looking for but I always leave the store finding at least something special and always with exceptional service!!! We hired Justo Delivery service since they have set up shop at Restoration Hardware and had used once before. On September 19, 2014, they brought the piece of furniture to my home. It was horribly damaged and had not only scrapes all over, but also what appeared to be melted smudges of the patina. It seemed that the piece was really irreparable. I refused the delivery and told them that I needed to be reimbursed for the furniture piece. They promised that they could repair it and that they had a furniture craftsmen company that could repair it. I spoke to the headquarters and they promised to repair the piece to its original state. They guaranteed it. After calling non-stop for two weeks, because they wouldn't return my calls since the business day after the delivery date, September 22. I finally got a live person, and they couldn't locate my furniture piece. It wasn't until my husband called every day, spoke to Curtis the owner, that they finally agreed to deliver the repaired piece on October 17. I was so right to be skeptical. It was so atrocious. They painted shiny black the entire piece and I guess they tried to paint brown on the front. They took the value away from the piece. It looks like they spray-painted they whole thing and it is peeling off. I am so furious and upset over the whole thing. They are not returning calls and are the lousy company when it comes to customer service. Take a look at the pictures and see for yourself. NEVER Hire this company, especially to care for any valuable furniture. read more

Run away. Things at this outlet are miss marked and defective and sold AS IS with no recourse. I purchased a bed frame there thinking it was a king size bed. How was I to know that there is a thing called a Cal King which is what my mattress is. After buying a new mattress and bedding I slept on it the first time and the middle support broke and I'm only 180 pounds. When I called RH I was told there was nothing they could do. I have bought thousands of dollars worth of furniture and fixtures from them over the past two years and always had good customer service from the retail stores but not at the outlet. BEWARE. I'll never shop any of their stores again. Really TACKY. Oh and the deal killer was the same item was on sale for $85 more than I paid for my bed and included shipping which I paid for myself. Actually cost me more to buy the As IS bed. Run! read more

The trick to shopping at this store is having knowledge. First you need to know that some of the items are damaged and you need to check them over thoroughly because you can't return them. Also, they have regular sales that frequently change so you might do well to wait (find out when the sale changes) until you can get what you want at the highest discount possible. True, you take a chance of it being sold to someone else. The best sale ever is after Christmas which is when I buy new bedding and get UNBELIEVABLE deals! I have a California King and got a black fitted sheet (stone washed) for $20 and a matching top sheet for $20. The regular price for these are probably over $100 each. I also got a set of white stone washed linen sheets with pillow cases for a very very low price and it was a salesperson who found them for me when I missed them! These sheets are AMAZING, they are extra large and the fitted sheet covers my very thick mattress AND box spring. These sheets keep getting softer and better with every wash. I have never had bedding I love more than these and plan to go to the next after Christmas sale and get the stone washed linen bedding for the guest room bed. I think we have to recognize that this store IS AN OUTLET which means some of their damaged goods will end up there. The best way to get great deals here is to shop here frequently and work the sales properly. If you don't like to shop, most likely you won't want to do this to get the best deals. Personally I think RH is overpriced and I only buy their stuff when it's on sale. read more

If you buy an item of furniture here, you better make sure you pick it up then and take it home yourself! I bought a sofa, inspected it well, but when it arrived at my home it had severe damage and scratches THAT WERE NOT THERE BEFORE! They do not accept returns and it is total buyer beware! My daughter and I dragged ourselves through the huge once a year warehouse sale in San Pedro. Nada. Too crazy and our brains shut down. We then found out about the brick and mortar outlet store in Long Beach. I was exhausted and found myself sinking into the Maxwell deep down vintage grey sectional. Bottom line, I was gonna be buried in this couch. I couldn't move. And it was marked down from $12,000 to somewhere around $4,000. MINE, MINE, MINE! Staff excelled at customer service. I say staff, as I cycled through at lease three helpful helpers. The couch purchase was like a triple expresso. I bounced upstairs and found two fab duvet covers, pillow shams, baby booties for a present and bath mat. We hit the store when there was a 25% off everything. Now that I get the emails, I see that the sales go as deep as 40%. Obviously, it will be hit or miss. Go with an open mind vs a list of bits you need. Have fun!! read more

We decorated our entire house with funiture from this store three years ago. I had a great time at the store again today. It is located directly across the street from the Aquarium and the only parking is in the high rise parking structure so I spend more than 30 min. Inline on a Sunday to get into the lot just to park! I was so excited to hear restoration hardware outlet was coming to this location and hope tons more outlet stores follow suit. I know this store is extremely expensive but was hoping it being an outlet that some stuff would be affordable but that is not the case. Items are not discounted enough to even make it worth it to buy it all scratched and dinged up. I wanted to buy a small bathroom chrome shelving stand for towels, well I found it at the outlet but it was so damn damaged and it was only $50 off the full retail price that I ended up going and getting the full price one ($600). Some bathroom cabinets they had for sale for astronomical prices were so badly damaged (and not fixable because it was made from compressed cardboard not wood) that it looked like stuff left in an alley for free. This place is a complete mess also. I mean really really bad. Items strewn all over the floors. I picked up one of the many bathrobes on the floor looked at the tag $250... for some thing on the dirty floor. There were tons of workers no one was cleaning. If I worked there I would be mortified and been running around cleaning. Hell I was a customer and I was picking things up off the floor trying to tidy it up! Please get your act together. You are a high end store with high end prices with yard sale tactics. read more

I'm going to give a one star for now , I purchased an item and they double sold when I came to pick it up. Waited for an hour in the delivery dock and they could not locate my item because they sold it to someone else. Unacceptable!! An establishment like RH should not run into these problems. If they are "high end":.. Run your business like high end. Regardless if it's an outlet. All they offered me was a 100 dollar credit . Not good for a prestigious and high and establishment. RH.. You can do better. Manage your stores and provide better customer service please. Figure out a system and allocate when customers buy off the floor. There is no excuse!! read more

ok i get it, its an outlet and items are sold as is, but that does not give you the green light to put items that should never be for sale in the first place. Its like buying a used car, you have to have your mechanic with you or else you are screwed. Got three tall chairs. Two of them garbage. Paid over 400 for all 3. Did i save a lot of money? yes i did, but who cares! I purchased 2 broken chairs. Took the chairs few places to get them fixed and they said it can't be fixed. I typically love Restoration Hardware stores so was excited when I heard about this one downtown. I finally went a few weeks ago and I will never go again. The store itself is beautiful but so big. Its overwhelming. The layout isn't great either. My biggest issue was with the customer service. There were tons of employees chatting and standing around yet none of them said two words to me when I came in and even when I walked around the whole time. Needless to say I'll never go back. The selection of items there isn't great anyway. You are better off going to South Coast Plaza or one of the other stores. read more
