They even have items that you can buy at RH retail for at least $200 less with zero damage! Just inspect the item you want and if you believe it is worth the price for you go for it! I get my bed linens and bath linens from here as well as beautiful furniture pieces. I am sad to find out that they will no longer have textiles, however hopeful that they will continue to have beautiful flawless furniture pieces. I compared a look a like furniture pieces that was $500 less and the main difference was the construction of it and durability. The cheaper one was made from MDF board while this one was made from Solid Wood. You most certainly get what you pay for! Our latest purchase was a Media console and linen sheets, the sheets were 60% off the outlet price. We purchased sheets for Twin, Full and King size bed, a total of 6 sets with duvet and extra pillows cases and it came out to just around $400 what a deal! Fortunately and unfortunately we have shopped this location numerous times - finding pieces of furniture for our apartment. A couch, credenza, dining room table, and a few other choice pieces. In general, we love the RH aesthetic, especially my husband - who has been shopping there with his family for years - who has used merchandise to renovate our town home as well. We have shopped many of their locations across the country; in California, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Massachusetts. However, since our last experience at the Milwuakee store, we haven't patronized RH since. The day we bought a few items, including a gray credenza/tv stand, we also set up delivery. Although RH doesn't offer in-house delivery they refer out to third party companies. Yet and still the issue was completely % still their fault! Once delivery was scheduled, the company drove from Illinois to Wisconsin to pick up our furniture (which had been paid for) to load, and deliver to us, only to arrive and be told the furniture couldn't be located!!!! So the delivery company of course called us to verify pick up/purchase/instructions, etc... phone calls had to be made, receipts had to be pulled out, more arrangements, and scheduling had to be done. It was an entire fiasco. Everything was settled, and a second appointment was made for pick up. Only for the RH employees to tell the delivery company they couldn't find the merchandise a second time! Thankfully the delivery company was much more professional and astute than the RH employees and involved management before they left the location, and were able to "uncover" our paid for furniture. We finally got everything delivered to us - but no real thanks to RH. Even at outlet prices, their furniture IS NOT CHEAP! To have such a poor customer service issue and experience is bad reflection of their business. We've spent thousands with RH, and as of yet, have not given them anymore of our money. How does a company take a customer's money, but then have issues not being able to give them what they paid for?! This was an extreme situation (I think). My mom couldn't wait to check out this outpost of RH. Not everything sold there is dented or scratched - most of it is in good shape and looks very nice. The prices are definitely pretty fair for RH's typical stock. To add positives, the employees were very nice and helpful (and the bathroom was clean!). I worked at the store in Milwaukee. Unfortunately the bitch that they hired to run the store couldn't appreciate the great help that she had. As I was running my ass off, she decided to schedule me for like a 10 day run. We're moving into a new apartment right in the Third Ward (just around the corner from here) and so we knew we had to check out RE for our new furniture. I've never actually been to a regular RE, but I love a good outlet so it seemed perfect. However, I was extremely disappointed when walking in. I have been to my fair share of other home good stores, and I expected this place to blow my socks off. Everything, I mean everything, was either dirty or damaged, and still at what seemed to be outrageous prices. Not only that, nothing seemed unique or interesting enough for to me to even consider. We have purchased items at Restoration Hardware in the past and we were excited about this store opening up in the area. Not impressed at all! They made this location an outlet. The space is pretty bare bones and not much has changed since it was Rubin's (which I miss). There are several rows of mismatched furniture and other household items with many of the items damaged and being sold as is for not even that great of a deal. We walked through the entire store with not one employee acknowledging us, even though several employees walked by us many times. I'm not sure why they are so pretentious; it's an outlet! Ever walk into a store in the middle of the day and there are five employees gathered together, two moving furniture and three others watching and you are the only customer in the store, but surprisingly continue to be ignored? The downfall is that it is an outlet store, so you have to find your own moving people to get it to your home. Check everything carefully because most of the items are there because they are damaged. I don't find a lot of the people working here are very helpful number one. I think that they have very nice quality furniture and things but I believe that they're overpriced on a lot of things because they're either broken or sometimes not fixable for a small amount. I have bought a lot of furniture and I'm very happy with it because when they discontinue something and you can get a deal even at 30% off or 40% off it's good. They don't offer any services and they're not really great about loading it in your car or truck you have to do all that exceptional tiedowns and things like that otherwise it could get ruined taking it home. I think that they should have better management at the store they can coordinate the people that do work there to do a better job. And that goes for not only the sales people but the people who bring it out in the loading docks. I remember one boy helped me with dreadlocks and he really stood out as someone who cares. I tipped him 20 bucks. And I told him not to give any to the other guy only for him to keep it because he earned it and the other guy wasn't willing to do anything in fact the look on his face is like he didn't even wanna be there. Lots of heavily damaged merchandise at a small discount off of outrageously high original prices. Employees are disinterested in assisting and usually don't even acknowledge customers, hanging by their desk in the center of the store. Many time the store is in such disarray that it it difficult to walk through some aisles, especially towards the back of the store. I miss Rubin's! read more

Do I miss the retail store for Restoration Hardware at Mayfair. Yes. Is this place a retail store. No. This is an 'outlet' store, where either floor models or surplus products are sold at a discount the high prices of a typical Restoration Hardware. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. There always seem to be a few leather couches that must have been placed under a heat lamp and never conditioned, as to why they are trying to sell them, I do not know. But in general, if you're looking to get a "deal" on restoration hardware's normal furniture, you can find much better prices here. It just might take a few trips in if you are looking for a specific piece in the right condition. read more

This store is a terrible deal. It sells damaged furniture at very high prices (things we were interested in were only 10% off retail, others were too damaged at any price), and is staffed with snooty sales people who think they are cooler than you. Earlier in time, the RH outlet in the Pleasant Prairie outlet mall was really worth visiting - it had good deals and friendly staff - but somewhere along the way, perhaps it became too popular. With this store, RH has no such worries. Been there once. Never again. Now, if I want a good deal on RH, I'll go to their regular store during the holidays, and try befriending a sales person there... last time I bought a chair, I got a pretty good deal via the F&F route. read more

I love Restoration Hardware Outlets and have bought many things from them. This place is ridiculously overpriced for the quality/condition of the product offered. I found one good price when we were in there. The staff seem more preoccupied with standing behind the counter talking about their douchebag skinny jeans, ridiculously feminine scarves and idiotic haircuts. Oh and the glasses frames with no lenses make you look like a moron. Why not actually price this place like an outlet? I loved seeing the $4700 entertainment center in 6 pieces in worse condition than mine that I bought in seattle for $600 bucks for the bargain price of "$3500". It's funny how you are buying Restoration Hardware and you equate it with Quality yet in recent years I am finding more and more stuff made in China. I am not impressed with this store at all. Miserable. I have no issue with the Third Ward store in particular, but wanted to warn you about my experience ordering from their website. Ordered a leather chair on Nov 29, website said it was in stock, promised delivery from Dec 12 to Dec 17. On the 17th, I went to the RH website to check status, said my chair was "delivered." Since that was clearly not the case, I called the customer service hotline. Customer service had no idea where my chair was and gave me the number to the service that was supposed to deliver my chair. This back-and-forth between me, RH, and the delivery service has now been going on for two weeks. I still don't have my chair. I overpaid for this chair. It was a reward to myself for the hard work I had done in the last year. I wanted the experience to feel like going to a nice hotel or restaurant-- like I was being catered to. And keep in mind, Walmart or Amazon can tell me where a $2 ball point pen is at any time in the process of delivery. But my $2500 chair from Restoration Hardware? You deal with it customer, call the delivery service yourself. To add insult to injury, I paid $200 for delivery, plus a $100 yearly membership fee for this "service." I no longer want to be a member of this club. Do not make the same mistake, dear reader. RH takes gorgeous pictures of their furniture, they sell "quality" and "luxury," but do not be fooled. They've had my money for a month, but I have not gotten quality or luxury, I haven't even gotten a chair. And RH does not seem at all motivated to correct these issues. read more

I was shocked to learn this store has a practice of pitching unsold furniture into a dumpster in the alley behind the store. But first they smash and destroy it with a hammer, rendering it unusable. I witnessed a giant dumpster, almost full, of new lamps, chairs, a huge, heavy coffee table and a cute night stand, among other things too deep to identify. All intentionally damaged and of cheap quality. Check it out. They could donate it to ReStore which is a few blocks south on 1st Street. read more

My home is almost entirely furnish in RH stuff, I've looked around but nothing matches the RH style. The outlet prices are even better. The managers Shelly and Heidi have gone above and beyond to help me find the right pieces for my new house. I was also very impressed with Jessica, whom I met for the first time- she was very kind and helpful, not snooty at all. If you want to be treated kindly work with one of these girls! This is the type of store you do have to go to periodically to see what is new, but totally worth it. They get an A+ rating in my opinion. read more

Buyer beware, check out items before you buy. Maybe you can find something that is undamaged or that has damage you can live with and save some money. But the bigger problem with Restoration Hardware in general is that most of what you are getting is marketing vs. quality. For example, they have a chair called the "Motorcity Leather Swivel Chair" that sells for as much as $3K. A call to customer service revealed that yes, it is made in China.
