Quick Update: a friend told me he changed his response!! So I just had to let the world know his deal. Be aware.. this guy Warren edited his response to choose nicer words because it showed how egotistical he comes off! Eek, big red flag to stay away!! His first response to my review was not so friendly for being a business owner and offering piano services to families with children. OMG! He appears he wants to fill his spots and even if you are already reserved a date and cant respond to his virtual assistant within 48 hours, he will say we will move onto another student. He is not apologetic, not sincere, not PATIENT and not understanding. Just say sorry, but instead he is now rude and so now he had to revise his response here since it will scare other families away! My original yelp review: Mess with my family or mess with my time.. this is a good way to to get to a bad start with me. This is exactly what Mr. Warren and his 'personal virtual assistant' Michel did. He messed with my time. He disappointed me and most importantly my daughter. - was on vacay for our anniversary in Italy - booked the payment they wanted while on my vacay, told them a date for a consult while on my vacay. took the afternoon off for the consult when we are back - booked the first piano lesson and my daughter was so excited to start piano with an instructor with amazing yelp reviews. - day of consult I get an email saying this isnt going to work out. The assistant Michel did not hear from me via email x2 days and Mr. Warren said this isnt going to work out and just dropped us and said they are moving on to the next. Oooouu, I was pissed. We were planning for her lesson and the consult. Wow.. no phone call, just a quick email. And I hate communicating over emails when it comes to discussing certain services. Michel should have called me. I am not buying a product, I am looking for piano mentorship for my children. And if Warren isnt nice and cordial with me, how much more would I trust my kids with this guy. I had to break the news to my daughter this piano teacher is not interested in helping us with piano lessons. Never met this guy, dont want to now. He seems to have an ego based on his emails. Please change Michels title to personal assistant instead of personal virtual assistant. Thats not an insult. We were treated like sorry you cant respond ASAP within 2 days, lets move on to another family. Found this guy on Yelp.. so thats why Im leaving a review back here on Yelp. Not all yelp reviews are true so I hope this helps another family if anyone goes through this or is deciding to start with this place. When I find a good piano teacher and studio.. My 8 year old son has been with Mr. Warren for almost a year now and he has learned so much! He went in not ever playing a note on a piano to now having played in 2 recitals. In his own words, "Mr. Warren has boosted my confidence to be able to play in recitals in front of an audience." So, he is not only learning piano skills but "life" skills to have the confidence and overcome his fears of performing for an audience. For that, as a parent, I am most appreciative to Mr. Warren! Our kids, who are 7 and 8, started working with Mr. Warren approximately six months ago. We always wanted our kids to start a musical instrument but did not have any background ourselves. The kids were not thrilled to start but we asked them to give it a try. Immediately after starting, we could not believe how excited they were after each piano class. Mr. Warren makes piano super fun and engaging, which can be hard to do with such young kids. He ensures that the student picks their own music and includes introductory songs that the kids know (such as Disney), which makes them enthusiastic about the process. They have surprisingly made it a habit to practice piano every day, without us reminding them to do so. Mr. Warren expects daily practice but does not set a designated time. This puts the power in the kids' hands and they actually are more willing to practice knowing it doesn't feel forced to do a certain amount of minutes. He also provides a sticker book so that they get a sticker each time they practice and a reward at the end of completion. Sounds so basic but this goes a long way in furthering their commitment. As the kids expanded their technique with more difficult songs, it got challenging at times. Mr. Warren provided us with guidance on how to handle these situations when the kids got frustrated at their inability to get the songs right. When I think most teachers would say practice more, he did what was best for our individual kids as they both learn and behave differently. He also had plenty of videos of him playing these songs on YouTube so the kids can watch anytime and learn the keys and pacing. The piano recitals encourage the kids to work towards a goal while also giving them a confidence boost. We love how there is a range of talent in the room with complete beginners to seasoned teenagers. It allows the kids to see that they have so much potential if they keep going. We cannot recommend Mr. Warren enough as a piano teacher. He is professional, highly skilled, and works excellent with kids. read more

When I was a kid, piano was something I always wish I could have learned. So being able to play piano as an adult has been an amazing experience and I am grateful to study with Warren. I've been taking piano lessons for a whole year and Warren has made the learning process as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. I look forward to practicing and not once has it felt like "work." That's not to say it hasn't been challenging, but he has great resources (his own YouTube videos) which make playing a whole lot easier. And the music books he teaches are engaging and entertaining. Not only have our lessons been fun, but he's been very understanding when it comes to my schedule. When I first transferred to Ms. Lin, I was an amateur pianist- and I'm still learning- who learned by raw practice with no technique or finesse. But since then, I feel like Ms. Lin helped me quite a bit in improving my memorization skills, my technique, as well as playing musically. She is a great listener and often tunes her teaching style to fit each student (as I have observed between my brother and I), and many times over, Ms. Lin has been willing to work with me, even when I became frustrated with the lessons or a particular piece of music. Ms. Lin knows how to push her students to their limits and encourages all of us to work hard. She doesn't let us make excuses for ourselves and is determined to shape us into better pianists, even when something is particularly hard to master.
