This is local treasure for beauty, pampering and boutique shopping! Located under Metro Bis restaurant in the center of Simsbury, Rhenium has the most beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. The building is a Simsbury historic, former family mansion, restored with the most elegant touches. My hair stylist is Ali. She is extremely talented ~ best highlights and cuts I remember since the hair stylist I loved during my high school years. She is super warm, friendly and comfortable to spend those 1-2 hour appointments with (the things we women go though huh). She is so good at what she does, my husband and father have gone to her for cuts and... even though they have unique head shapes and Hair characteristics, she has given them both their best cuts. No surprise my mother also joined in for her weekly wash and blowouts with complete satisfaction. I have also seen how talented she is with all types of hair including curly tresses. I follow the salons Instagram page and know from what I see, and from seeing the numerous ladies I know from around town who use Rhenium as their Beauty hub, that ALL of the stylists are at that elite level of talent and professionalism. I know they also do weddings and updos. Today I walked in and was greeted by Kathy and Sophie. Kathy is so personable, and can help you book appointments, buy gift certificates, and even help you find your way around the boutique and their new better-consignment section. I believe she helps order and run the boutique (I could be wrong and will update if needed). Sophie has a nutrition-wellness & life coaching business, and can even do tarot card readings while you get your do done. Today I picked up a wonderful crystal filled spray bottle of room spray that Sophie created that I already love! On the website look under "More of the Good Stuff" to see what Sophie offers. Both of these ladies will provide you with professional and kind service. Today I met Leslie for a facial.. what a special and caring person she is. She created such a relaxing and beautiful room to pamper her clients. The facial was so much more than a facial! I was immediately helped to relax. She took her time, massaged my head, shoulders and parts of my upper shoulders and back. I felt so taken care of and she was just lovely to chat with. I didn't realize just how much I needed this pampering and relaxation. I left feeling so happy & relaxed... from a booked facial! I'm still new to this salon so I imagine as I experience new services I can come back and update you. In addition to hair and skin care, nutritional services and life coaching, they have a masseuse and a red laser lit sauna! Katie is the most amazing stylist I've ever had. She is not only the most genuine and personable person in the world, but is beyond willing to go above and beyond for her clients satisfaction. She makes the entire experience so comfortable and fun. Katie puts her heart and soul into her craft. I can assure you you're not "just another client in a chair" when you're working with her. She truly cares about her clients and wants to know you as a person which makes getting your hair done all the more special. I tried Rhenium for the first time yesterday as we had a black-tie event happening and I decided I wanted my hair and make-up done professionally. Although it's always a little risky trying out a new place for the first time when you have a big event, I went there because it was very close to our house and I was able to book both appointments for the times that I wanted. Leslie did the special occasion make-up and Ashlyn did the hair blow-out. From the moment I walked in, I knew I was in good hands. The space is beautiful and welcoming and every staff person there was as nice and helpful as they could be! I absolutely loved the end result (thank you Leslie and Ashlyn!) and got many compliments throughout the evening.
