Ultimately, primarily for reasons outside of the ones that came up in inspection, we decided not to buy the home, and True View was able to give us partial refunds for the radon and lead tests we ordered as we would not be needing them. We will definitely be contacting Bill again for the next home we need to inspect, and I'll go in with a better eye for some of the things to look out for during our search.

He was available for follow up calls with our questions. He was clear. He was patient. He wasn't alarming, just thorough. My husband and I felt we had a better picture of what we were buying and could plan our budget for repairs accordingly. He helped us feel better about going forward with the purchase of a very old house with good bones. So we, of course, had zero idea of what to expect during the walk-through inspection (that was scheduled last minute.) Not only was Vinny incredibly accommodating, but he was also very communicative. He arrived early for the inspection, and as soon as I met him, I immediately felt comfortable with his calm and personable/welcoming demeanor. He was incredibly thorough throughout the whole process. Had to have additional work because he missed soooooo much including electrical fire hazards, mold, leaks, switches that don't work, water pump/heater was flawed, chimney structural issues, and some other "smaller" things. I want to emphasize that our electrician confirmed WE HAD MULTIPLE FIRE HAZARDS FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER THAT THIS INSPECTOR MISSED. We only used him out of good faith since his parents (our realtors) suggested him. We feel absolutely played by this family. Would give 0 stars if I could. TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A MILITARY FAMILY!
