My family and I enjoyed a narrated cruise of wonderful Narragansett Bay. It was the third time for us, and we wanted our family to experience it. July 12 was a good day to have a reservation for six adults and five children since the fast ferry was only 2/3 full. Lots of room. We sat at tables for six on the first level that were adjacent to large windows for viewing the sites. At times, some of our group went outside. They could hear the commentary from speakers outside. Have taken this trip twice this summer, everything perfect, easy to book, great parking, well worth the money for a couple hours on the water. First time we took the tour we arrived just in time to get in line to board. Second time we arrived early so walked around the area. Very surprised to see a company who make their money from the ocean surrounded by trash. Realize our environment is full of trash but right beside the office is a little beach area where I completely filled a reusable bag of nothing but plastic in less then 5 minutes. Forget the tires, the fishing line buried to deep to get out and all the broken glass. I realize the ocean returns are junk to us every day - and maybe it isn't this company's responsibility - just saying - But the tour was good. Just don't let your kids, dogs or anyone go near the water area. Could be hazardous for their health. read more

For 25 bucks you get to see 10 lighthouses and a whole lot more. Yeah, I've seen all these lighthouse by kayak but I had some friends coming in from out of state that wanted to doing something cool and didn't really want to get in a yak. Hmmm, I know, I'll take them to see some lighthouse but let someone else do the driving. The Millennium is a high speed cat that zooms around Narragansett Bay and then slows down for the interesting stuff. Arthur the narrator gives humorous and informative stories about each place and is a combination of historian, tour guide and comedian. You really do get to see 10 different lights and the captain manages to get quite close to each one. Of course it's not just lighthouses but small islands, old forts, giant and opulent mansions, ostentatious and breath taking yachts, sleek world champion sail boats and various sea birds are everywhere you look. The Millennium sneaks up into Newport Harbor so you get to almost reach out and touch the waterfront of the City by the Sea. Even though it was absolutely pouring, the crummiest weather possible for such a tour, everyone had a great time. The crew was especially accommodating and nice. One of our party was in a wheelchair and the crew went out of their way to help, assist but never intrude. They couldn't have been nicer. There was just so much to see, smell, hear and experience that everyone agreed that they would love to do the cruse again, preferably in weather a bit less inclement. History and folklore The sea and wind in your face. And of course lighthouses It can't get much better. read more

Reliability does not appear to be this company's watch-word. Two consecutive attempts at a lighthouse cruise - approximately one-month apart - failed when the tour was canceled. The first was a Thursday evening Sunset cruise that was canceled approximately an hour before sailing. (Perfect weather and clear skies, so that wasn't a factor.) No reason was given at the time. The second attempt was a Thursday afternoon sailing which was canceled two-days before the event. At least in that case we learned of the cancellation before driving to Quonset at rush-hour. I won't give them a third opportunity to cancel. Based on my experience, the company is not reliable enough to warrant advanced booking. They may actually sail to the various lighthouses in the bay, but so far they can't prove it by me. read more

I would not give this any stars except I had to to get to this box. I purchased this tour on line on Sunday for a Friday afternoon Lighthouse Cruise. We received our confirmation and looked forward to our cruise. We drove from Fall River MA to the cruise office only to be told that the cruise was cancelled. No phone call or e-mail sent to us stating this. This is totally unacceptable for a company to do this. It was a beautiful day, perfect for a cruise. I only hope we get our money back as I will NOT BOOK THIS AGAIN! read more

We had tried a few times to book the 2:00 - 3:40 lighthouse tour but they had been sold out. We finally booked online Saturday for the Sunday tour and were able to get 4 tickets at $30.00 each. We arrived at the free parking lot and were greeted by a friendly staff that gave us our tickets. We had to wait in the hot sun for 30 minutes before boarding. Wish they had outdoor canopy for the outside wait line. Regardless, the whole experience was great. The views were spectacular, the weather great, the narrator very informative, and the route took us to areas we had not seen in the past. Many times we have sailed out of Newport and been in that area so the loop that this ferry took was some new territory that we hadn't seen from the water. All in all a great trip, well worth the $30 a person! read more

Would highly recommend this outing, even for locals. Our narrator Bill W. was an incredible well of knowledge. He spoke for the entire 95 minute cruise and had a nice mix of facts, history, stories, and current news. The boat slowed down at each stop so there was plenty of time to see and get photos. We stayed inside on the bottom (air conditioned) level for most of the transit between stops bc quite windy when you pick up speed but did spend time out front on the deck and got great pictures read more

This company uses thousands of lines policy to cheat customers. I do not feel well and cannot make the cruise, but they do not agree to refund and said that they have their policy but do not consider my health issue. When I talked more about the reasons, the employee just repeat "I cannot hear you, I cannot hear you." Then hang up my call. This company really sucks!!! Get avoid of it!!!! read more

This is a great trip for the out-of-town family who wants to see the water and get a boat trip in. $25 is very reasonable for an hour 1/2 trip all around the bay. It was great too because we had visited Newport the day before and sailed directly up the harbor we can been standing on the previous day. The ship came very close to the harbor which was a great opportunity to see the boats and enormous yachts in the area. The lighthouses were interesting and the history and narration was very appreciated, but honestly, just the experience of being on the water and getting to see the sites was worth it. They only run trips on Mondays-Thursdays at 2pm because the rest of the time the ship is making runs to Martha's Vineyard. This makes it kind of nice though because the boat isn't overloaded with people. I suggest making a reservation in advance, however, because I heard it is around $10 more if you buy at the office. A great, relaxing way to be on the water. Boat wasn't crowded. Excellent time. read more

I have been on these cruises around the bay and up into Newport, by Fort Getty and I loved it both times I went. The first time I even took my dog Gracie with us and she loved it also. read more
