Archery is so much fun! My sister and I wanted to learn archery. After doing some researches,…read moredecided to sign up with Deborah for 2 lessons. First one was at Yolo Bowman and second at Discovery Park. Deborah provided all the necessary equipments. Before the lessons began, she went over all the important rules. Then she explained each steps in details. She monitored and guided each of her students. She took her time to make sure we were holding the bows and arrows correctly and also we were in the proper standing positions. If not, she would correct us. After each round of shootings, we would go up to the target boards to retrieve our arrows one by one. Each lesson was an hour long. I did pretty well for a beginner. I hit a bullseye in both of my lessons. Super proud of myself :) Deborah was a fantastic instructor. She was funny, patient, knowledgeable, nice, cool and super awesome! She took the time with each of us and listened to our questions and concerns. I have learned a lot from her. As a bonus, she's a great photographer as well. She helped take pictures while we were shooting. After taking 2 lessons, I am ready to invest in my own set of bow and arrows. Thank you so much Deborah!

Ended up booking this for our group. Not only did we all have an absolute blast, we are discussing making this a regular activity. Deborah is an amazing instructor. She is engaging, encouraging, and funny. She was also fully prepared with everything we needed. Our group was a mixture of people with no experience at all to someone who owns their own bow. She managed to tailor the lesson to fit each individual. The experience was incredible. All 8 of us agreed that a 5 star review is deserved. We are all looking forward to many more lessons to come.

No idea where to go... at each entrance there are service stations where you may purchase your items or ask questions. I asked where to get my fishing license and the young man cheerfully gave me precise instructions. Once I arrived at customer service I was greeted warmly and in less than 5 minutes I had my license. I chose 1 year but you can choose from a good variety of options up to three years! 5 star experience... While I walked about I was asked by a floor monitor if they could assist me with anything... I asked T question and they responded kindly good people in the store. I got some Iowa beef sticks... they also had good variety of jerky... that meaty juicy type not dried. I asked AI what are the top 5 most popular lures that work best in Utah and the store had all of them. I took them, a great Nike T shirt and my beefsteak at the cashiers near the entrance, paid and bid good day. I'd shop this place again.

(I had several questions) 10 minutes in golf department. Same story. 20 minutes in BBQ and the two guys there seemed more worried about the display looking great than offering help. I've always loved Scheels but I am very disappointed with the current lake of service or lack of. I hope things improve! (I only spent $250)

Especially who used to hate guns & getting a lesson how to shoot one ! Never knew bullets are cheaper than groceries, it still bugging me ! But it is the reality! So many cool collections they have . Customer service is great . My hubby said I actually did very good for my first time , most probably he was being too kind lol !

I had a really good time, with some caveats. The store was easy to walk through and get signed up to shoot. Not busy at lunchtime on Wednesday. Their bows are basic compound bows with no let-off and (on the one I used) no sights. I was given a few arrows, I bought a target, and I carried them to the archery range, which was easy to find. But I quickly found out that shooting without a release really hurts your fingers. I asked the store if they had any, but they had none available -- not even any for sale. Luckily, another archer had a spare leather tab, and he let me use it. Thank you! I set up my target fairly close, and I just had a good time shooting! I was terrible at first, of course, but the other archers were polite and helpful. The vibe in there was very chill and felt very safe. I'd definitely go again, though it'll be best if I have my own equipment next time.
