Worlds best Aperol spritz
Rachel H.

Ima be reaaaaaal honest. I'm not entirely sure what the theme is supposed to be for Rhythm and Spirits (steam punk meets fancy Italian place, with chairs that are skulls???) but the food was aaaahhhmazingg. Atlantic City my friends, has SO MANY hidden gems I'm not even shocked anymore. I get the feeling that Rhythm & Spirits operates on a rotating menu, but cannot confirm. I got that vibe based on the fancy Italian food they were serving. Fancy joins love a rotating menu. We're here for it. We started off with "The World's Greatest Aperol Spritz," which was just as pretty as it was delicious. I've had a good number of Aperol Spritz's in my day, and I don't think I'd say it was the world's best, but it was totally up there! No hate, just the truth! My friend got the Cacio e Pepe that featured enough pasta to feed a family of four and still being home leftovers, and I got the Scallops & Gnocci with fresh day boat scallops, seared over gnocchi with brown butter and hazelnuts. Chefs kiss y'all. CHEFS. KISS. What a gorgeous meal.

We made a reservation although it didn't seem busy when we arrived. The service was very good, I will give them that. I am only giving them a 1/5 due to the food. It was really bad. The waiter told us that it was being removed from the menu due to lack of interest, but I think it's because of lack of flavor. I got the truffle alfredo Udon. It was so bland...salt and pepper would have went a long way and that's just the basics. I honestly had a hard time even eating a few bites.

It was a very interesting restaurant. A lot of graffiti art on the wall. It was not my choice but we had a bday dinner that night. First impression, the area looked shady in Atlantic City during the night. When we left, it looked well lit with a lot of ppl around. The food was great. The service was awesome. We pretty much tried everything on the menu. The pizza was great too. I would go back when I'm around the area.

Flavorful food & chill vibes! Came here based on a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed. The staff, the food, the vibe...everything was above my expectations. Will be back! Indoor/outdoor seating options Highly recommend making reservations Alcoholic drinks and have some fun mocktails! Convenient parking

I had such high hopes for this place but they just really disappointed us... really, really bad. First, they sat us in this really awkward corner in front of a the DJ Booth, next to a bunch of drunk people who were heading to a Darius Rucker concert. The waitress (?) gave us our menus promptly, and then left without saying much. She didn't come back for FIFTEEN MINUTES! That was fine, we chalked it up to being a busy Saturday night, but kinda irked. We gave her our drink orders and she told us the other waiter would be around to discuss the food. Wtf? Our drinks didn't arrive for another twenty minutes. Insane. Meanwhile, the DJ is blasting 90s club bangers behind me and we are shouting at each other from across the table. Thennn, our other waiter came over panting (serious) and collapsed next to me, saying he was taking a quick break and going to discuss our specials. So strange. It was almost like these people were trying to be hipster and "down", but it just wasn't working - however this waiter was the only one who really understood what was going on. He knew the menu and his food, for sure. He was the only one that looked somewhat professional, besides his backwards ball cap. The first waitress wore a see through wifebeater with black yoga pants, while the busser wore basketball shorts and a "vintage" graphic tee. Sooooo weird. We both ordered the Oh Donna! Some yummy sounding drink that has egg white in it. Our inebriated neighbor patrons swore by it. I swear, I'm not picky... but it legit tasted like sewer water and cleaning alcohol. I just couldn't do it. And I couldn't send it back because we never saw another person from here until the food came out. The saving grace of this place was the food. The octopus was great, although it only had one leg of a baby octopus (save your money) and about 2 potatoes chopped up to look like octopus. Salad special with asparagus was to die for. The cacio e pepe was amazing with the shaved truffle, although the guy who shaved the truffle for us was rude AF. When the waitress finally arrived back, I ordered another drink but 25 minutes (yeah, I counted) passed before we flagged her down and told her to cancel the drink and we were ready for the check. She couldn't believe we never received our drinks. Never again! Such good food, but the service is absolutely awful.

We went last night for the first time. Staff was unbelievably friendly, helpful and informative. The food came out timely, well-prepared and delicious!! Atmosphere was amazing; great seating, artwork, music and vibe. We cannot say enough positive things about this place or how well we were treated last nite - we will DEFINITELY be going back!!!

Took my husband here for his birthday as I read many reviews about this place. The decor is dark and eccentric. The manager greeted us and offered my husband a birthday drink which he gladly accepted. We sat inside, but there is outdoor seating. We had several questions about the menu and accommodations which our server patiently assisted us with. The drink I requested from the menu was no longer available so our server worked with our bartender to create a drink just for me. We started our meal with the bacon appetizer which comes with two Thick slices of bacon. It was salty, sweet, smoky, and absolutely DELICIOUS! My husband got a modified version of there chicken parm. He was more interested in the southern fried chicken than the parm. They graciously prepared his entree to his liking. He said that it was a bit salty, but overall, very tasty. I ordered the pork chop which comes with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli rabe. The balsamic reduction, the mashed potatoes, the pork chops... O M G. Absolutely delicious! We finished dinner with another round of cocktails and a complimentary shot. We were too full for dessert at Rhythm and Spirits or their sister store, Chocolate 32! We will definitely be back. I can wait to try the brunch and Chocolate 32! Amazing experience.

St. Patrick's Day specials...

Came here for the St. Patrick's Day specials. They didn't disappoint. Great crowd and great specials. Bartenders were awesome. This place has really came a long way since the first time we came in when they first moved from the original place (Iron Room). Still miss the old speakeasy feel and vibe. They now have dinner on the weekends and brunch on Sundays. Can't wait till the summer I heard they have some fun surprises coming. Tuesday's are still half off all whiskeys... Free parking across the street too!

We went here for a VERY hungover brunch during a bachelorette and sat outside. We loved the overall vibe of the place. The staff and the drinks were generous. And the food was delicious! I had the sangria, French toast, and Italian sandwich. The sandwich was enough for two meals. It's both a great spot for IG and to satisfy your appetite.

A fantastic new find in AC! I had been to Iron Room a few times in their old location and saw a few articles on this new space and during my weekend trip to AC last weekend decided to stop in with my friends! Delicious cocktails and amazing glassware! We instantly became friends with Tara and Christian behind the bar. Tara makes an amazing slushie that I am obsessed with and a great rum old fashioned! We returned to the bar the next night and got such a warm greeting. That night we met Lisa as well the bar who had some great stories! Overall I loved the space and thought the drinks were excellent. Atlantic City needs more places like this and I hope they do well. I'll certainly be back next trip!

He made it very clear that the restrooms were for paying customers only. I firmly replied, "I plan to dine in, but need to use the restroom first. Is that a problem?" He didn't seem too happy with that response and walked away. As intended, I sat at the bar and ordered wings and truffle fries. The food wasn't particularly memorable, but the wings were a decent size. The truffle fries were fine, but nothing that stood out. Antonio clocked in about halfway through my meal and was a breath of fresh air. He was friendly, attentive, and completely changed the tone of the experience. Overall, it was a good visit with decent food and great service from Antonio. Unfortunately, my first interaction with Domingo left a poor impression and took away from what otherwise would have been a positive experience.

The bar occasionally offers live music, but my favorite time to visit is during the holidays, when they turn it into a festive Christmas spot with holiday beverages. There are fun decorations, strands of lights, Home Alone 2 playing on the televisions, and much more to really get you in the holiday spirit. I most recently tried the Pomegranate Margarita on their seasonal menu and thought it was excellent; it was not too sweet or too weak. I should note that there are rarely servers in the lounge area, so you typically need to go up to the bar to place an order, which can disrupt the flow of fun you might be having. We actually ordered a second one because of how good it was. The shrimp and garlic were fresh, the size was large, and even the bread paired really well with it. We loved visiting the historic Claridge Hotel, experiencing the classic old elevators and lobby. There were no delays, all the elevators were working fine. The Vue bar is located on the 26th floor, and the outside deck wraps almost all the way around the building, with views for miles. In the shadow of the Bally's tower, it's possible to take a selfie showing the reflection of the building on which you stand, in the copper mirrors of the Bally's windows. Ocean views for miles, bay sunsets and city views the other way. High barstools along the glass and some mixed sofas and outdoor seating areas were set up for conversation or smoking. With happy hour every day from 4-7, it is one of the most generous in Atlantic City (where most aren't offered on weekends or past six pm). We had $7 margaritas, $7 long island ice teas and a good order of crispy and spicy buffalo wings for $9. And I had to come back again, because I just couldn't get enough of the view. He said he was going to get us sharing plates and got distracted 2 seconds later and we had to ask for them. When we were ready to leave he was standing at the end/outside of the bar on his phone. It took a couple minutes to get his attention. 1 - soft pretzel. The pretzel itself was good. It says it comes with spicy mustard. It does NOT. It came with some nasty, flavorless honey mustard type dip. It was not spicy mustard. 2 - buffalo wings. I am not quite sure how they made the sauce. It had something in it we could not put our finger on but it was not the traditional buffalo sauce you'd expect. We left two or three wings uneaten. 3 - cheesesteak eggrolls. I took one look at them and was scared to eat one but I did. They come with 2 egg rolls cut it half. They were so small and you can tell at first glance they are straight from the freezer. We left two out of four eggrolls on the plate. The food photos on their website are 100% false advertisement. I stopped in for dinner around 6:15 PM and, as always, the atmosphere was welcoming. There's indoor seating, a full bar, and a fantastic outdoor space complete with games, a fire pit, and one of the best music playlists in town--often accompanied by live entertainment. It's the kind of place where locals and visitors naturally mix together, creating a fun and friendly energy. One thing that always makes me smile is the sign when you walk in explaining that the bartenders and servers may be outside and asking guests to let them know they've arrived. Honestly, who could blame them? With the fresh salt air coming off the Atlantic Ocean and the outdoor atmosphere they've created, it's exactly where I'd want to be too. Tonight I ordered the crab cake platter, served with garlic French fries and coleslaw. The crab cakes were very good, packed with flavor, and the fries were crispy, garlicky, and absolutely delicious. A simple meal done right. Everything was fresh and appealing, I eat small portions so I took one crab cake and some fries home with me. I did ask about dessert, nothing was available, I don't do sweets frequently, I'm surprised they don't request Momma Chocolate, at Bar32 to make some extras for days they are closed. They also have a great $25 dinner special on the weekends, however we weren't looking to eat that heavy. But the live music on weekends at 7pm brought me in without the specials. We started with a down East blackberry cider $8, and a wanderback Hugo pilsner $7. We took our time sipping slowly while the band's set up and began to play. I think our server was more eager for us to make a food order than we were to eat yet. But when we finally did order, we chose a Tennessee Avenue tycoon salad and the "Phish" grilled fish tacos on corn tortillas. The salad was fresh but ordinary, with grilled chicken, blue cheese, egg and bacon. Spouse opted for some sort of orange dressing instead of the normal avocado dressing, perhaps it was the same one I loved on the fish tacos, a chipotle aoli. The Phish tacos were on soft corn tortillas that needed more time on the flat grill with a little oil to crisp them up! The fish was nice and white with good sized pieces in each taco. The cabbage slaw inside was wet, mashed avocado and so was the aoli, so a little gloppy but good even if it fell apart. These tacos are normally served with a side of chips, so I asked what options I had besides potato. Our server happily volunteered a grilled vegetable side which I loved until I found out it was an $8 upcharge of which he didn't inform me when ordering. That's an extreme amount, for not advising the customer prior. We stayed for a second round, I had another blackberry cider because it was delicious. Spouse switched to the Blue Horizon Kolsch, but apparently it was high test because it was $10. It was a lovely evening but, room for improvement. The band was fantastic, played all our favorites and we stayed a lot longer as a result of the great weather and the lovely picnic tables in the "garden". The beer hall has done a great job making this a fun hangout!
