Had a nice meal here. Stopped in on a Monday and while the restaurant wasn't very crowded, they seemed to be pumping out to go and delivery orders which is always nice to see. The bread that came out first were like twisted garlic knots and came with some herb and garlic butter. Quite tasty. The bean soup was homemade and really good. No complaints there. Went with the chicken marsala entree and while it was solid, it wasn't perfect. Wish the sauce was a little thicker and packed more of a marsala punch. I also prefer my chicken a bit thinner and when it melts in your mouth. Not my favorite iteration of the dish, but I still cleaned my plate. Service was friendly. I do think there are better spots for the price point in the area, but this place still did the trick. read more

Eat at Joe's in EHT is a cozy Italian restaurant with only a couple of tables, but I had an excellent experience last night. Our waitress was awesome, but the food is really what made this place stand out. We got to speak with the chef & he explained to us how he takes pride in his dishes by making everything to order with perfection. They provided a nice bread basket with an assortment of warm slices & twisted breadsticks. These paired very nicely with the spicy spread, a red pepper & olive oil blend, & a garlic butter. I had a house salad with a creamy balsamic vinaigrette & shared some of the arancini that was really flavorful. For my entree, I had the chicken broccoli Alfredo & it was one of the best Alfredo sauces I've ever had! It's not your typical thick & creamy kind that makes you feel sick after eating a couple of bites, but a light version that was so delicious & perfect. I also sampled some of the meatballs & thought it was very tasty with a nice bouncy texture. This establishment allows BYOB, but they also serve alcoholic beverages. I like that they also do online ordering for takeout, so I'm excited to come back & try out more items & take pictures! read more

Yet another amazing dinner at Eat st Joe's! We were a party of seven and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Mai had chicken piccata which was prepared perfectly along with a side of linguine with red sauce. Delicious red sauce as well! My husband had a special with shrimp and scallops. Two friends both had shrimp spagnola (which I know I've killed!). It's my fav dish there but I tried the chicken instead. They also had arancini balls, Mozzerella sticks and salads. It was all delicious and the dining room is cozy and sweet. Our server Maria is so efficient and friendly. The owner Dany visited the tables and was so friendly. Eat @ Joe's! There, I said it! For the first time, we tried this little hidden gem in EHT just off English Creek Avenue. We were greeted with bright smiles, friendly & welcoming greetings (rarely seen in many restaurants these days) as we entered. I ordered eggplant parmesan which was luscious layers of perfectly prepared eggplant, cheese and sauce with a side of linguine. My husband requested if the chef would make flounder franchese (spelling?) even though it wasn't on the menu. Not only was Chef Dany willing to make it, but it was served with homemade pasta with basil and garlic "in" the pasta...delicious and a huge portion. We were too full for dessert but had double espressos while the Chef visited our table to assure our meal was outstanding. Not only is he an amazing chef, but a really nice guy. He opened Luke Palladino's Ombra & Specchio Restaurants at Borgata, worked with Steven Starr as well as Michael Simmon at Angelina's in Borgata. He brings all this culinary knowledge and expertise to Eat @ Joe's. You're missing out (as we have for years) not realizing how great the food is at Joe's. Another plus? This place is a hidden gem located on West Jersey Avenue next to the CVS. I really did not expect anything special here, really just some basic Italian cuisine, but I was blown away by how good it was. First, the dining area is small and intimate, with only a few tables so you may have to make a reservation. For our appetizer, my wife and I shared the arancini. The sauce that it was served with was delectable and a perfect compliment to the crispy, fried rice balls. Next came the bread, which is served with 3 different sauces to try, which were all excellent. For my entree, I had to go with the classic chicken Parmesan. I was really disappointed with the last Chicago style pizza we picked up. I've been ordering this for years from Joe's and from it's predecessor, Mama Mia's. It used to be heavy and loaded with cheese and toppings as you would expect a Chicago pizza to be. It was also more expensive than the other pizzas for those reasons. The last pizza was dry, with thick dry dough, more like a zombie Sicilian pizza. Not much in the way of cheese or toppings. We each ate a slice, tossed the rest and likely won't be back. read more

Great local pizzeria. We tried their New York style pie and Bianca pie. Both were delicious and hot when we got it delivered. I've heard that the owner(s) has lowered the prices due to covid which in my opinion shows true character of a local business. Restaurant is very beautiful and clean... however, too dark. The menu has a black background and very hard to read with the dark lighting. We arrived at 11:30 and the waitress told us we would have to wait a while cause they just opened. I said, "how long?" And she said about 35-40 minutes! The open hours on the entrance states 11:00 am. Hmmm. First time to a restaurant where the customer had to wait for the employees to set up! We ordered soup... warm and small bowl.... What a Wonderful Italian Hidden Gem! My Husband and I both stopped in for Lunch. We had ordered a slice of Chicago style Pizza to share. And a cup of the Corn Crab Chowder. Both were amazing! We then had the Chicken Marsala Sub and the Meatball Parm Sub. Meatballs are Homemade by Joe's wife. And were Spot on! Not dry at all. And very flavorful! A Must try! The Chicken Marsala Sub! I just want everyone to know that during this pandemic crisis, this restaurant has been amazing! They lowered their pizza prices because they realized that so many people were out of work. Their customer service on the phone is wonderful. They even joke with me, " Hey Joe, the usual?" That's two plain white pizzas for my son and I. We absolutely love their pizza. Also, the driver's are so friendly and polite! Delivery is contactless, but I always stand at the door and waive. One order was not correct, but they made it right immediately and the driver was very apologetic. (Was not his fault.) The last time I ordered, they did me a favor and when I thanked them, He said, "No problem, we are happy to do it for our regular customers!" It's nice to be appreciated and they really know how to treat people! Kudos to the owner/manager for obviously having a fabulous training process. The owners wife was rude and racist. She owes me an apology. I literally asked her for one and she didnt do it. The waitress was incompetent. I grew up in the business since childhood and always tip generously, but I gave no tip for this horrible service. The chef was wonderful and when he greeted us I mentioned the owners wife insulting me saying I wasnt my ethnicity 3 times. I spend tons eating out and eat at joes wont see another penny from me or anyone i know ever again. U could have done far better. Ordered 6 pizzas and 10 wings for dinner tonight. When my boyfriend got them home they had messed up the order and instead of the 3 pepperoni and 3 bacon pizzas they gave us 3 plain and 3 bacon. To make up for the error we were given 1 pepperoni pizza. LOL. Charged almost $100 for pizza that was horrible and their wings were horrible too. Definitely not worth what we paid for everything. This was my first time ordering from Eat at Joe's. I was craving an antipasto salad and the one I ordered was amazing!! There was a nice amount of toppings, Demi meat, cheese, artichokes, tomatoes, tuna salad, everything was fresh and delicious. I got the house dressing which was like a tangy creamy balsamic and very good. They served the salad with bread and homemade butter which was the nicest surprise, the butter is hard to explain it tasted a little like pizza and buttery goodness, so good, I highly recommend the salad and want to savor what I have left of the butter, lol! read more

I had order the buffalo chicken sub, I was looking forward to it but was morely disappointed not only for the quality but having to still pay for it when I only took one bite and explained to my waitress what was wrongnshe just bluntly stared at me awkwardly...I didn't enjoy the texture/choice of chicken used for the sub plenty of buffalo sauce and provolone portioning was great. We placed an order for delivery on 3/21 on or a little before 6pm. I was told it would arrive in 30 to 45 minutes. After an hour, I called to get the status and was told "we only have one driver and your order will go out when he gets back." Wait, it hasn't left yet?! Then she said, "Oh, we'll send it out now." When we called back after another 10 minutes, we told them to keep it. My recommendation? Don't provide delivery service if you can't deliver in a reasonable amount of time. Took my bride for a lunch date to my new favorite spot and it was amazing. We had a slice of florentine quatro formaggi pizza. The thin crust was amazing but the balance of the fresh spinach roasted peppers with 4 cheeses was just spectacular. And then we got a order of sweet chili wings . First they are full size drums and flats they were cooked perfectly. They had a crunch to them like it was a naked ( undressed) wing then they added the chili sauce and took the wing to the NEXT FLAVOR level. We are local and always enjoyed Mamma Mia's. We would get a bunch of us retired ACPD family and have dinner every few months or so. We also have had dinners here with family and friends on occasions. Always pleased with the staff, food, and atmosphere. In fact, the atmosphere was a huge upside. It had that small, old Italy feel. It's casual, but at the same time it felt intimate. Never had a bad meal and the price is fine especially when comparing it to other Italian restaurants in the area. It really was a hidden gem. However, I have to say after the name changed to Eat at Joe's the experience is not as positive. The name just isn't as attention grabbing, plus there's a restaurant with a similar name up in the Cross Key's area which makes it a bit confusing when conversing about it. The biggest negative is they completely destroyed the small intimate atmosphere by knocking out the wall that separated (blocked) the entry area. Now while you're eating you can see people coming in and out for pick-up, they can see you too. One night I was there having dinner with my wife and daughter and this guy comes in to pick up a pizza (we know because we could see him) smelled like he had just smoked an entire pack of cigarettes. That's the problem with knocking out that wall. It's now distracting, and a mood killer. Originally the wall was nice, it felt at home, tuscany, and private. Lastly, they use to play Italian music and/or similar sounding music. The night we went the new public open feel drowned out the music and it was more like todays current pop music.
