My daughter bought a certified pre-owned Jeep. It's been in their shop 6 times, and now Philip Datillo (GM of Sales) told us they're refusing to service it any longer. He admitted they don't know what's wrong and said not to bring it back -- even though the Service Manager (Gary) confirmed in writing that there IS an issue. They are fully aware the car has a safety problem but are washing their hands of it and sending her back on the road. When I asked to speak to the GM of the dealership, I waited over 4 hours in their lobby and got nothing but excuses and lies ("he's on a conference call" "we don't know where he is or if he's coming in today"). I purchased a jeep Rubicon a year and a half ago from this dealership. I opted for the platinum extended warranty as finance showed me the different packages I could choose from. They made it sound great. It covered so many things and I was willing to pay $3994. The most expensive warranty I have ever purchased and I have bought a lot of new and used cars. I opted to purchase this because the warranty was so good and was an 80,000 mile warranty. I sold my Jeep and got the odometer reading from the dealership that purchased my jeep. I took the odometer reading into the Chrysler Jeep and it was given to finance. I was also told there was a one 800 number that I could call for faster results to get a refund for my remaining unused extended warranty that I had purchased. I called the one 800 number and was told if I was to look at FinePrint or if I was aware that the $3994 platinum warranty actually went back to the 1st mile. Since I purchased the vehicle with 30,000 miles on it, I assumed it was the 1st mile I put on the vehicle up until 80,000 miles. I was told today that the 1st mile was retroactive back to when the first owner purchased the vehicle in 2019. I was told that my warranty is no longer valid and it was only good for 72 months and I would receive nothing back as reimbursement for the almost $4000 warranty that I purchased. I traded the vehicle with 60,000 miles and only put 30,000 miles on the vehicle. It was my understanding that I would be reimbursed for the remaining 20,000 miles that my platinum extended warranty should have covered. I am extremely upset And only owned this vehicle for a year and a half and had no idea that I paid $4000 for a warranty and it was already ran out. This seems like it is corrupt why would a warranty that cost $4000 go back to the 1st mile with the previous owner when they put 30,000 miles on the vehicle. Finance should have explained this and did not. I was going to purchase another Jeep in the future from this dealership, but this has soured my experience. It is dishonest, unethical, and other people need to be aware of the corruption that this dealership is doing. I am extremely upset and will more than likely be contacting BBB an attorney and possibly the news. This makes absolutely no sense to me and was never explained to me. There's no telling how many people they have done this too and like me had no idea that they no longer had a warranty and paid astronomical amount for a one and a half year warranty that was never even used. We have purchased several new and used vehicles over the years and have always purchased extended warranties and whenever we would sell the vehicle, we would be reimbursed for the remaining part of the extended warranty. I've never had such a bad experience with a mechanic. We spent over 1k without our Jeep EVER being fixed. It also took weeks to get it back-- similar to what other reviews say. Also, similar to other reviews, is that our car came in with a perfectly good battery, then all of a sudden we need to replace it entirely. This was after they diagnosed the car with a perfectly fine battery as well. When we got the car back (the first time) it was as though they had never touched it. It had the exact same issues with it that we came in for. The check engine light even came on within moments. They also left tools in the car as well. When we brought it back it took them 2 weeks to tell us that they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it and that we would have to pay another thousand to have them take it apart. lol We absolutely took the car back. At this point...I'm frustrated. I brought my daughter's vehicle in on Thursday. It has many issues in which I was willing to have resolved. It's Monday, the dealership is swamped with customers, the service team is busy, the parts were out of stock, the technician is out sick. This is my daughters only vehicle. She's using limited resources to get back and forth to work. My issues are my issues; however, it doesn't make sense to hold a vehicle for so long without a remedy or a reasonable time for this vehicle to be repaired or returned to its owner. I called under the impression it'll be fixed today. I called again because I didn't get a call back within an hour. This is when I receive the aforementioned issues. At this point. If the vehicle never was touched or service when will the owner be notified? If the vehicle is in service, why is only one person responsible for the repair and not a team, in case one person is out sick? If the vehicle is being repaired for a length of time, why isn't there a loaner offered or updates rendered to assure the owner the vehicle is on its way back to its owner? At this present time...I'm waiting for the service personnel to check with her supervisor to see is someone else could work on this vehicle that's been at this dealership since Thursday morning. read more

AVOID I called on April 8, 2024 and spoke with D in the service department because I needed the hubs and bearings replaced on all four wheels. He said the parts were on back order but if I could find them, myself, they would install them. I easily found the parts online and made an appointment for April 24th. Again, D told me that if I wanted to wait while they installed them, it should take a couple hours to do the work. When I arrived for my appointment, the parking lot was jammed with vehicles waiting for service. Furthermore, a woman in the service department told me that they do not install parts that customers provide. After explaining the conversation I had with D, she said ok they can do it but I would need to leave my car for 2 days because they were too busy. I asked if there is anything they can do to remedy the situation and she said no and recommended that I find an independent mechanic. Even worse, they advertised a lower base price online, but when I did this entirely out of state and not in person but was prepared to pay in cash. The vehicle came with no owner's manual, and delivered without a windshield wiper, and several disconnected components like the rear windshield defroster and truck bed cables. I brought this up and was told I could be reimbursed for the wipers if I provided a receipt. I did--but then the sales agent vanished and I never heard back. I emailed twice and never heard back so...I'm reviewing the dealership as negative overall. All in all, while I genuinely like the Jeep Gladiator itself, I can't say the same about the dealership. Their focus was clearly on closing the sale, not on customer satisfaction or follow-through. With tariffs potentially increasing vehicle prices, I wanted to buy now to avoid added costs--but sadly, this experience just reflects how transactional and impersonal car buying has become. I was probably the easiest purchase you can imagine bc my test drive of the vechile was a 200 mile trip from dealership to my home. I just expected the vehicle to have all the basic components connected, documented, and attached. Lastly, i forgot to mention this earlier. I had to fill out the same sales paperwork three seperate times because they kept saying they either lost it, it was incorrect, or had to supply me with a different copy. Seriously, for a 28,000 purchase..fill out the paperwork correctly the first time. I wouldn't have had to pay to much for the vechile in taxes if you did the job correctly the first time. Finally talked to someone on March 5 after they got the Batter Business Bureau complaint. Tabitha in accounting advised me they were overnighting a check that day. She gave me a tracking number and apologized. About an hour later I got a call from Phillip who identified himself as a sales manager. He also apologized and reiterated they were overnighting my refund check. I waited all day Thursday and Friday and no check. When I checked the tracking number and it stated a label was created, but the package was never received from Rhythm. I tried to call and check, but was told Phillip was out of town and I could speak with another manager. I was then put on hold for over 20 minutes before I hung up. I tried accounting again and it rang and rang and then a message stating mailbox was full and hung up on. I guess only way to resolve is court. read more

NEVER AGAIN! I called Rhythm Jeep yesterday to find out what a full synthetic oil change would cost and they told me $89.99. I arrived this morning and they told me it would be $129.99. I explained what I was told yesterday and they said they would honor the mentioned price. When driving into their service garage, you pass through their UVeye machine, which picks up any dents, scratches, etc. When I got to the service desk, the woman told me that based on their UVeye machine, my tires were "expired". I said "expired? What does that mean?" She said that they were 12 years old. I told her that those replacement tires were less than 3 years old and didn't even have 10k miles on them. Secondly, my Jeep is 8 years old, so it would be impossible for original tires to even be 12 years old. She asked if I wanted my cabin filter replaced and I said no. I just went to pick up my Jeep and my $89.99 oil change was $182.72! They charged me $70 dollars for an engine filter! I don't even recall them asking me if I wanted that changed (they had definitely not mentioned a price for it), and I certainly wouldn't have paid $70 for a filter that I could have bought online or at an auto parts place for $12-$16! I definitely won't be using their services again, and even though I had bought my Jeep new from them, I'll be buying a new Jeep somewhere else! read more

If I could give a zero star review I would. I had zero issues with my husbands Jeep but this is the first time they have serviced my Jeep and they have screwed it up both times. I originally bought it to them to finish diagnosing my fan cricut 1 error code I received which I knew was one of four things. They supposedly fixed this and less than five minutes later it started overheating when it was not an issue prior. I tried calling, texting all my way home due to traffic to get no answer. It wasnt until I called the sales team I got an answer and got a call back to get my Jeep retowed back to them 24 hours later. Then it took them 2 weeks to advise that my aftermarket thermostat failed and asked them to replace with an OEM. They called and said it was ready so I picked it up; however after I get home I did a walk over to notice the radiator fluid reservoir wide open and sprayed coolant everywhere and my negative battery terminal wasn't barely connected and tightened down. This could have cause damage again to my engine because of your technician negligence. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER!!! Bottom line: I bought my Jeep in June 2021 and I'm still waiting on them to process my registration and I'm not the only one they are doing this to. I called several times asking for my registration paperwork as well as asking if there was anything I needed to do, Rob told me the finance dept. would handle everything and it was still in processing. It has been "in processing" for 4 months. I finally called the DMV to find out what the deal was and then I just found out that they never transferred my tags. The vehicle is still registered to the previous owner and trade in was never transferred either. I have been trying to get a temp tag all day from them today so I could at least drive legally. I got one from them early this morning that was expired, and then they told me sorry we can't issue you a 3rd tag due to TN laws. I think they purposefully gave me an expired tag because they haven't done the paperwork to transfer the ownership to me. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I guess the third time makes me an even bigger fool. I've been to Rhythm CDJR three times in the past couple of years. The first time was to check out a plug-in hybrid. I explicitly asked them multiple times before our appointment to plug it in so I could get a feel for the hybrid powertrain. When we got there the car was unplugged and had 0% charge, so we didn't get to experience the car fully and walked away. The second time was for a used truck. It was in relatively rough condition when I arrived, rougher than the photos led on. Pulling out of the lot for the test drive I immediately felt a shudder in the drivetrain. It smoothed out a bit when I got up to highway speeds, but while on the highway the check engine light came on. They offered to fix whatever was wrong if I agreed to buy it, but they should have had it sorted before I drove all the way there, so I walked from that deal (as anyone should). Yesterday I reached out about trading my vehicle for a brand new truck. The trade difference came back too high, so I decided to pass. They told me they go off of KBB values, so I looked it up and noticed my trade given its condition could be worth $5k-$6k more than they were offering. I sent that to the salesperson who said they'd need to inspect it if there was a chance of coming up that much. I told her I'd be willing to drive over there (40 min one way) if coming up that much on my trade was realistic. She said it would be worth my while to come down and was sure we'd be able to make a deal. I arrived, test drove the truck, then went to work through the deal. Right out of the gate the price was HIGHER than discussed the day before. They actually reduced my trade value $500 instead of increasing it, despite it being in fantastic shape and very clean. I had told the salesperson where I was trying to be on it, so everyone knew well enough I wasn't going to come up thousands to meet their offer. To their credit they filled up the gas tank on my car before I left, but that wasn't worth the three and half hours I wasted in the middle of my Saturday. It's a shame as everyone I interacted with was polite, friendly, and mostly knowledgeable, but ultimately as a business they have wasted too much of my time. I won't be going back. read more

Now I have several complaints that I've tried to share with management to no avail. Maybe there's good reasons but... And since I was hoodwinked into buying the oil changes as part of my financing (pissed me off), I hope that service is better than sales (Nope!) I will give a high five to Hunter for helping me understand what was happening. And they are a friendly bunch when you can reach someone. 1. Calls to managers have never been returned over the 3 months I've tried. 2. I'm on month 3 of temporary tags. I wasn't clear about next steps but I did mistakenly assume they'd contact me or send a new temp tag before the other expired. Nope, it's up to the customer and both times I've been told they would be overnighted I had to pick them up sooner so I could drive legally. I was told they're overwhelmed with sales and good for them but they need to hire more people to process titles. I also just found out that part of the delay was misspelling my name, which happens often but they could have told me. 3. Hire enough staff to make an express oil change fast like the name implies. It started out with her purchasing a vehicle and having it for only a week to find out it has major issues going on with it. We take it back immediately for them to work on it and they said okay. However, the service department and the management team were horrible and rude to deal with. After a few weeks, we get a call back saying something was wrong with it and they would fix it. We ask if we could get a rental and we were told we would be put on a very long waiting list. (Which we never received a rental car for three months.) So luckily we had a family vehicle that we used in the meantime. We finally get the vehicle back in hopes of good condition like they said after weeks and had it just for a week to find out it has the same issue. We take it back and it takes another week for them to tell us that it needs a whole new engine. They didn't want to put a new one in because they would lose money doing it so they basically said we had to find another vehicle that we like on their lot or they would buy the vehicle back from us for HALF of what we paid when we haven't driven the car more than a week and it's been a process for 3 months. We agreed to try out a vehicle on their lot to trade in so we didn't lose money and come to find out the one we liked had issues but they were still selling it to people but they just wanted us to be aware it was a bad vehicle. She bought the vehicle in November and drove it maybe two weeks and it is now the end of February and we are having to take our business elsewhere and sell the vehicle they sold us. Meanwhile the general manager never acknowledged our existence while standing their upset with the situation. Paid $700 to have a noise fixed so they replaced my time belt which wasn't the issue because the noise is still the exact same. Gary and his staff, along with Nick, always make warranty issues more bearable. It is extremely difficult to find a honest, smart, hard working, and trust worthy shop nowadays. OMG - if I could give them 0 stars I would. I contacted them about a Jeep that was advertised for $32000.00. I'm in California and was planning on purchasing and then flying out to pick up the Jeep. I told Tony I was ready to commit and asked him to work up pricing. Here's where it gets completely shady. Tony comes back to say they've added "a few" after market modifications: raised it, changed the rims and tires, added armor plating, pulse braking, and the Jeep version of lo-jack. Oh, and the price on their website reflects ALL the available rebates (so you'd have to be an active military, first responder, realtor to get the rebates. Yes, all three at once). He comes back with a final price, including tax, of $48,000.00. Yes - FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS ABOVE THE ADVERTISED PRICE!!
