It was very professional and honest. The work they did on my car was great. I haven't had any issues since. They were quick and informative. I was worried to drive 14 hours after my car being in the shop the day before- but I had no issues. They even texted me a few days later to make sure everything was working right! I've been looking for a great mechanic since I moved to nashville 4 years ago and have not been able to find one. I'm so glad I found Carl's garage- I won't go anywhere else when I need my car fixed!

Owner (Frank) scammed me - avoid at all costs…read more - I came in to get my front light fixed + get a full car ASE inspection so I could drive for Lyft - Frank claimed he could get me the needed inspection + fix my light - total came out to around $200 - front light was still broken after I got my car back - I don't think he did the full inspection at all if the front light detail was missed and I didn't receive proper paperwork for the needed ASE inspection (which means he just wanted to upcharge me on a full inspection) - I called later to dispute, but Frank claimed I never mentioned the needed ASE paperwork Never going here again. I guess Brent thought I did not know about cars and quoted me $1550 for an alternator. I asked him if I could see the part number for the alternator to verify, and he said he does not share part information. I paid my diagnosis fee, and they said they were going to keep my keys until the tow got there, but reluctantly gave them to me after I would not leave without my keys. I got my car towed to Firestone, and they fixed it for $950. Even with another tow, I still paid less than what they quoted me. Brent up-charged me $600 and could not back up any of the information. This place is sketchy, and I cannot believe they are still in business, taking advantage of people. Do NOT go here.

I rolled into Nashville from Western New York at about 5:30pm on a Friday in my 2018 Honda CRV and…read moreit started making AWFUL noises. I was not thrilled. I quickly googled auto repair places that were open and would have Saturday hours because I was supposed to drive home by noon on Monday. Tire Discounters fit both of those criteria and *bonus* was within walking distance of my hotel. I called and asked if they could do a quick safety check. They were polite and said absolutely. It's a good thing I went. Front and rear brakes, calipers, and rotors as well as the outer tie-rods and sway bar links had all decided to go at the same time. Armando - the store manager- was kind and showed me the damage. And bless him, they had to go all over Nashville to source the parts and get them put on my car in time for me to leave exactly when I needed to. They went above and beyond, for sure, and helped me save as much money as I could on such an extensive, unexpected repair. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
