Exchange rates vary daily depending on foreign currency highs and lows. Whether it's for Japanese Yen, South Korean Won, Hong Kong Dollar, Euros or Mexican Pesos, I never had any problems working with them over the years. Great solid service as needed and no additional questions asked. CXI does charge high fees for processing, which is included in the actual amount you're getting back and quite convenient if you don't carry a lot of currencies and don't want to go to a bank. Don't expect equal currency value for other currency values since CXI fees are high. Great place to cash in extra currencies in small amounts, especially after a trip abroad. Otherwise, pay more to buy more international currencies. I didn't know that most places don't accept 1 euro and 2 euro coins. Yes, those convenient coins are always leftovers after trips. Some currency exchange spots don't accept those coins either. U.S. banks are extremely picky. They would accept actual paper money, but not coins. Interesting. Glad to have CXI open daily here. I was able to exchange 19 euros at CXI with no issues this week. They may have limited amounts of currencies or too much of one type on hand. Overall, convenience works here. Staff is professional and nice too. If you have extra 1 euro or 2 euro coins, this place will take them. I'll be back.

Don't throw away your hard earned money at ChangeGroup. Sketchy business with rude staff and hidden fees. If exchange rates were not favorable and I was ignorant enough to exchange my money, then that's on me. But this business goes out of their way to deceive customers. ChangeGroup has a don't ask, don't tell policy. Sarah, the teller took my 215 Euros and before confirming the exchange rate or service fees, quickly proceeded to count US dollars and handed it to me in one swift motion. I received a total of $178.15 (look at the photo of my receipt). There was a $5.95 "compliance recovery" fee and a whooping 14.94% service fee. She said the transaction was completed and that they have a no refund policy. If I agreed to those rates, then this mistake is on me, but at no time did Sara ask me or confirm the transaction total before quickly dispensing the funds to me. It's as though by counting and handing me my funds, ChangeGroup was off the hook. When I asked why didn't Sara confirm the final amount before completing the transaction, Sara replied saying that I didn't ask. What kind of business does this? ChangeGroup's business model is to quickly catch customers off guard and cheat them of their cash. When I asked to speak to a manager she said she's the most senior person despite there being a Deputy Operations Manager, Nazneen Shaikh (look at photo of business card). A quick google search of Euros to USD would show that 215 Euros would equal roughly $246 (as of 12/28/2018). I understand this is a business and they have make money, but not by deceiving customers of $68 dollars. That's just wrong. It's the holidays and I don't want to be sour, but I feel like I have to share this so others won't make my mistake. I wish that I could take all those euros back and donate them to a charity instead.

The ONLY bank in California is in Los Angeles, so you'll have to physically go there if you're looking for a bank. Every time I go here (before I knew what I was to deal with when I opened up the account) you literally have to plan a whole day to make sure the place is open & the only person who is "authorized " to sign papers (smh) is there.... so again, bring lots of patience with you! My dad went to the Daly City location (an hour away) to see if he could check his bank account because he thought it was a bank. But instead of telling him it was just a remittance center they told him there was one Vallejo so we drove over there and they told us there are no PNB banks in the US. After finally getting in contact with PNB personnel over the phone after about 36 times they told us there was a bank in Los Angeles. If the employees would've told us the right information in the first place or answered the phone maybe we wouldn't have wasted so much gas. As my dad was leaving the store in anger he tried pushing the heavy door, ended up getting a large cut on his arm, and getting laughed at by one of the employees!
