    Gladiator pizza

Came here to see Wicked and was pleasantly surprised by the food and drink options. Everyone working there was very nice and helpful despite it being a busy weekend, and the theatre was comfortable and intimate. Their gladiator special pizza was delicious- a Reuben in pizza form pretty much plus bacon. Can't go wrong!

I took my 95-year-old mother to see the cat video festival here. We didn't realize that they offered food and would've loved to have known before hand and would've gotten food. There looked really good. The seats were fairly comfortable and one of the things that I appreciated was at the sound wasn't blasting really loud like some theaters do.

Great theatre culturally very important to Sebastopol. Shows art films as well as popular new releases.

Great dine-in experience and wine options. Lovely dining area in entrance. Very clean and personally a fan of the smaller auditoriums.

Fabulous old theater. Well staffed with all the goodies that are disappearing from our modern society. I hope they can survive.

Ask the Community - Rialto Cinemas

Is there stadium seating or reclining seats?

Hi Mona, we do not have stadium seating or recliners. We have more classic auditorium seats that were replaced just a couple of years ago.

    Which screening rooms are upstairs?

Theater rooms upstairs are 6-9 I believe.

However, we need to talk about the pre-show hostage situation. I brought my 5-year-old to see Toy Story 5. The ticket said 11:40 AM. The movie actually started at 12:06 PM. That is 26 minutes of commercials and trailers. It is blindingly obvious that whoever programs this theater either does not have children, or actively harbors a vendetta against parents. Do you know what 26 minutes feels like to a 5-year-old who has already consumed half a bag of overpriced popcorn? It is an eternity. It is the length of an entire episode of Bluey. I watched my child age two years, cycle through the five stages of grief, and nearly de-evolve into a feral state before Buzz Lightyear finally graced the screen. Cinema executives constantly wring their hands in the media, crying, "Why are theaters dying? Why is streaming killing us?" Allow me to solve the mystery: We are paying premium ticket and concession prices just to be forced to sit through a half-hour infomercial marathon before the product we actually paid for begins. If I wanted to pay top dollar to sit in a dimly lit room and wait for half an hour for something to happen, I'd go to the DMV. Clean place, sweet people, but next time, I think we'll just stay on the couch.

All…read morethe amazing precision and craftsman shift and dedication that was put into these old-fashioned buildings is honestly breathtaking! Slightly to the edge of the outskirts of downtown Petaluma, is this queen little theater that surprisingly is very up-to-date!! Not only did it have an amazing surroundsound, but there were speakers that were updated in their old fashion, auditorium, and watching bad boys was great with the surroundsound!!! I was also pleasantly surprised that they had wine and beer on tap as well as a number of mini bottles from local Sonoma county wineries!! The mini bottles were a little pricey, but the fact that this theater offered them was very cute and had that local touch that I really liked!! The theater we sat and was very comfortable with leather seats and little tables that had an arm on them so you could swayed the table in and out as you sat down. Granted, I'm a little shorter than others, when I reclined in the chair I missed about 2 inches of the screen , but only towards the bottom and 'Bad Boys,' didn't have any so I was fine! Lol The bathroom for women was completely empty, but we were also seeing the last showing of the night and everything was automatic soap, paper, towel, and water dispensers so everything was very clean and well taken care of. I would not mind going back to the theater again, and probably trying something to eat. Since it was so late, I just had an apple cider beer which was delicious and tasted just like apple cider.

Nothing fancy about it, but the auditorium seats are comfortable and in good condition, and views are great from any seat in the house since it's such an intimate space. I was surprised that the orchestra wasn't hidden below, like at a lot of other theaters, but it was great to see them perform live during the show. Lots of wind instruments, including the flute, clarinet, and trumpet, along with sounds of the violin, organ, and percussion equipment. The show started about ten minutes after the listed ticket time. The three films shown were enjoyable, especially with the orchestra doing an impressive job. Sound and picture quality were ideal. Buster Keaton had me thoroughly entertained in two of the films shown, "The Scarecrow" and "One Week". And Charlie Chaplin was delightful to watch as usual, in "The Rink", with the iconic actor in hilarious scenes at the roller rink, which I found even more amusing cuz I had just come from the skating rink myself (and had witnessed a good amount of crashing and tumbling) prior to attending this film fest. There's a lot to love about this place. Not to mention, they serve yummy milkshakes at the concessions stand. Bonus points for that!
