I really wanted to love this place but that isn't so. Starting from the ordering I asked what type of tea was on the menu the Waitress had no idea. Food- I ordered the ribs and sausage two meat platter with beans and fries. The sausage was very cold, the ribs were amazing the beans as well and the fries tasted freezer burnt. I explained to the waitress my sausage was cold and I was given the worst attitude and told it was because I put sauce on it that's why as she left the table. 10 minutes into my meal I was handed the check. I would have loved to given this place another chance but from the vibe and the atmosphere I won't be returning. Found this on yelp as we were traveling through Oklahoma. Nice staff, good food. I had baked potato with chopped brisket which also had bacon, sour cream, butter, and cheese. So yummy. The potato was huge must have weighed 4 pounds. Hubby had baby back ribs with sweet bbq sauce. Very tasty. His sides were potato salad and coleslaw both were very good. Staff was very accommodating we thought music was too loud so they graciously turned it quieter for us. All around nice place. read more

I called in an order yesterday, and the I spoke with on the phone was really rude. All I order was 1/2 of ribs. She kept asking me is that all, is that all??I was really close to hanging up on her. Just ok. I had a two meat basket with a side salad and green beans as my sides. The ribs were quite fatty while the brisket was dry and tough. I do prefer as moist brisket though so if you like your brisket with zero fat then you'll like it. Flavor was also just meh. Little seasoning if any at all which I was expecting a dry rub at least in the ribs. I am from Texas so maybe it's my BBQ snobbishness coming out or maybe they just want you to use their sauces. So...the sauces, the original was sweeter than I would have thought it would be but the fire one was sweet and slightly "spicy" as the description said. The Carolina which is a mustard and vinegar type sauce was also sweet...not at all like a true Carolina sauce. The side salad was fine and instead of croutons they put fried wonton on top. I am keto so picked that off. The green beans were alright and they had bacon in it. Overall it wasn't bad but nothing I'd go back for again. read more

Coming up with a review and rating was tough for this place. Food - nothing special. The BBQ lacks the smokiness and flavor. I had the smoked chicken in a wrap. My wife had the combo plate and said that the various meats also lacked smokiness. Service (from the kitchen) - Poor. It took an hour to get the food. Not sure what the problem was, but it was slooooooow. We did get a free dessert as compensation. The dessert was tasty. Service (from the waitress) - Her name was Jennifer. She was very good. About 15 minutes into the wait my blood sugar began to crash. I told her I needed a coke immediately because of this and within 30 seconds she brought it over. Then offered to get me some crackers, as well. As the wait dragged on, she checked in regularly to refill the coke and give me additional crackers. She delivered the food, and made sure our free dessert was on its way. All the while she apologized and kept a professional demeanor. So. On a normal night it would have received 3 stars. This small far away restaurant has the most amazing ribs imaginable. I was passing through Elk City so staying only for the one night. I would pass through again just for the RibCrib. Friendly staff quick seating and quick service. Elk City is a delightful historical town that has just enough Old Route 66 but all the amenities of today, like a big beautiful park with trees, grass, ponds, a working carousel and more. We are on a (semi) cross-country road trip. Last night while on Hwy 40 we could no longer fight off our taste for Texas BBQ or our fairly late dinner hunger. We stopped at Rib Crib less than 1 hour before they closed, yet the staff welcomed us and gave us some of the best restaurant service we've ever had! We are food connoisseurs of sorts (one of whom is a former chef) and have been to many restaurants, including 4 and 5-star restaurants, in several states. Our waitress Kara (Keira sp?) was such a sweetie. Our food was good (BBQ and salads). Thank you! :-) One suggestion: serve small cornbread muffins or hush puppies in addition to the two sides with the BBQ. read more

Just moved to Oklahoma and my husband took us out to Rib Crib. The menu was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was very prompt and helpful. Always making sure we had everything. Mind you I have two toddlers. The food was ..OMG! I had a cheese burger and it was juicy and perfect. My husband had ribs with two sides and he went silent after the first bite. The fries were amazing. To end it all we were able to take a piece with us by being able to take home your drink cups. When the bill came it was very cheap. In the big city of Elk City for a dog show with my lovely wife. She reviewed the menu online and picked the Pulled Pork BBQ salad. Walked in the front door and asked for a to go order, then asked the hostess what she would recommend, she stated "the Pulled Pork Salad." If you have ever had BBQ in your life and have enjoyed it.. Don't go here. First off I've spent the last 5 years bopping around Texas trying different BBQ joints, some have been amazing, some mediocre, some not very good. This place, has the worst BBQ I've ever had in my life. My husband is from Saint Louis and he knows his "Saint Louis" style ribs and he agrees 100% with me. First off we ordered two meat plate, which comes with two sides (no salad, no bread). Each plate was $14.99, I'm ok with the high price as long as the food is at least good to OK. Here's the run down on meats and sides since hubby and I split both plates. Ribs- so they didn't remove the membrane on the under side of the ribs?!? Why? Gross? Leaving it intact causes slimy gross meat on the underside which is inedible. Didn't matter much anyway since their dry rub was flavorless, at least the flavorless meat was moist... Smoked sausage- pretty much had the same taste and consistency as an Oscar Meyer hot dog. Sliced Brisket- pale gray, flavorless meat. I could swear it was boiled or steamed not good at all. Plus it had lots of fat hanging off each piece. Pulled pork- this was the best of the worse, a little dry but edible with lots of sauce mixed in. Sides all were from either a can, plastic frozen bag or plastic container. Coleslaw- not fresh, way too much mayo no flavor. Mac n cheese- ok if you like food that gets pre made and shipped in once a week. Green beans- from a can, came out lukewarm. Okra- this was the straw that broke the camels back. It came out soggy and cold. I told the server (who was extremely sweet and attentive) she then had them drop a new batch and I had hot "fresh" fried okra in less then 5 mins. Once it came out I dunked each one in watery ranch and they were the highlight of the meal. Well, that and the pickle spear. So just skip it if you can, we would have been better off getting a frozen TV dinner at Walmart and taking back to the hotel and using the microwave. I'm still in shock as to why anyone would give this place 5 stars. This is the first time Yelp reviews has seriously lead me astray. read more

The food was excellent we had the club, the meat so tender and moist. I sharded with my daughter. My husband and other daughter shared ribs and chicken, again the meat was very tender. The cobbler so rich and yummy. The only complaint was that my husband and my daughters say the Caucasian servers were racist. They look away from my husband who is Mexican. They treated him like he had some type if disease. My daughters resented this, didnt want tip her. One thing I can say she was informative. Servers need to wait on different type of people, please keep your racist attitude to yourself. My daughters noticed not just at our table but other tables aldo. The food is ok, nothing spectacular. It's not so much "barbecue" as it is meat and fixins on a plate. That being said, its edible and not bad...just kind of plain. The service here is absolutely TERRIBLE though. From the time I walked in the door, to the time I walked out, my server NEVER spoke a single word to me....not one. When it came time to order, she just walked up with her notepad and stared at me. If it weren't for the fact that I had to get back to work, I'd still be sitting there staring back at her. I love this place. The food is excellent. I had the fried pickle appetizer, and it was one of the best I ever had. They were fried pickle slices, not Spears, but the slices were thicker by far compared to other fried slices I've had. For the main course, I had a 1/2 rack of baby back ribs with the original dry rub, fall off the bone good and juicy. My sides we're the mashed potatoes with they're peppery gravy, and corn. Linda had the 3 meat platter of brisket, St. Louis ribs and Turkey. It was all good. I cannot imagine anyone who likes ribs and barbeque not falling in love with this place. Elk City is one of my regular stop when I travel to see family, but this place is not far off exit 40 of I-40, so anyone passing thru should make time for a food break. My husband had pulled pork and ribs with beans and mac and cheese sides. Texas toast and a pickle came with too. On the table was a HOT sauce, a Carolina mustard and vinegar based sauce and a sweet BBQ sauce for you to add when needed. The meat came with a dry rub, but you could have wet and/or add some from the table. I had cole slaw....my fav. It was the kind with a mayo sauce and was quite good.
