I had a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience with the service department at Ricart Kia. I scheduled an online appointment detailing the exact, urgent issues my car was experiencing: frequent problems starting, and a highly dangerous sudden loss of acceleration while driving on highways. Because of this critical safety concern, I rushed out to make the appointment, not realizing until I was en route that this location was 30 minutes away from my home rather than my local dealership. Unfortunately, my experience only went downhill from there: Complete Lack of Listening & Misdiagnosis: The service advisor did not listen attentively or confirm the reason for my visit (which apparently wasn't passed along from the online scheduling system). The final report claimed my concern was a "constantly on check engine light"--which was absolutely not the case. Poor Communication: They kept my car overnight. The next day, instead of calling me with an update or explanation, they simply sent a text message with a list of recommended services. When I called my advisor, Brittney Ball, to ask if any of these recommendations actually addressed the dangerous stalling and starting issues I brought it in for, she said no, claiming they couldn't replicate the problem. I only accepted some of the unrelated services so the 30-minute trip wouldn't feel like a total waste of time. No Accommodation: Because I live 30 minutes away, I was told I was outside their service area and was denied a shuttle. I had to pay for incredibly expensive Ubers both ways. Terrible Vehicle Return Condition: To top it all off, the car didn't receive even a basic complimentary cleaning, and it was returned to me with a powerful, overwhelming smell of gasoline inside the cabin that I still cannot get rid of. Between the breakdown in basic communication, the complete disregard for the dangerous performance issues I reported, the lack of transportation flexibility, and the condition my car was returned in, this was an incredibly poor customer experience. I will not be returning to this dealership. read more

Purchased a 2025 Kia Telluride after 29 days started having issues was told by Ricart that it was due to 85% ethanol in the vehicle. I had to pay $1000 out-of-pocket however went back-and-forth with the gas station gas station testing showed that their gas was fine. I had the manager Cindy send out the Gas to be tested found . Test results showed it was 8% ethanol ask Cindy for my money back. She refused to give me my money back because the gas showed there was ferrous and debris in the gasoline. I spoke with the company who tested, I explained to them why the was being tested and it was taken from the fuel tank. They said it made sense for the heavy metals to be in the tank explained to me that there's something wrong with the car where metals is breaking down, but the gas was fine. Explain this to Cindy and Ricart she is still refusing to give me my thousand dollars back. Cindy has not been nice only to find out that the car now needs a transmission replaced in. It bought the car in February. It is now May I've only had the car in my possession for a total of 39 days and have made a car payment every month beware of Ricart and beware of Cindy. Her customer service is awful. I also asked Cindy multiple times. How did they come up with the results that it was 85% ethanol in the gas when it's only 8% she proceeded to tell me that that didn't even matter the gas still tested bad and I wouldn't get my money back she wasn't putting his own Kia. It's just something how dealerships can tell you what they wanna tell you to get you to pay for something that's not even a problem because their mechanics are knowledgeable to diagnose it in the first place even when I went back to pick the car up after they emptied all the gas the check engine light came back on, and they couldn't even let me take the car. The car has been having transmission issues this whole time now I'm back-and-forth considering an attorney so that I can claim lemon law. Purchase the car Feb 11th Just got it back today from them Putting a brand new transmission in it however they still can't seem to give me no updates about my thousand dollars. Those test results came back May 7. I paid based off of their results, not so I don't know why they keep trying to put this didn't give me the results they. I would be trouble and their mechanics give you a diagnosis. Make sure whatever you do you get a second opinion because it's clearly that Cindy will back her mechanics and lie for them instead of taking accountability that the mechanics was wrong and just returned my money I would never deal Ricart ever again.i have NEVER been through anything like this in my life I leased multiple cars with Nissan, I guess this is what I get for going to another dealership. Bought my car from Ricart. Car was stolen within the first 2 months of owning, so took it back to Kia to be fixed. When the car was returned features that worked when I dropped the car off, no longer worked. Ricart said it wasn't their fault and I would have to pay. Argued with the shop manager who finally looked up my car said she would just run in through our warranty. Whatever, I didn't care as long as they fixed it and I didn't pay for it. They ordered parts. In the interim they sent me a survey about my experience in which I stated my displeasure and my suspicion that they were dishonest. They called me within a few hours and canceled my order. Said they were "severing the relationship." I regret walking in that place. They may not be rolling back odometers anymore, but they are certainly still dishonest. I guess somethings never change. They need investigated again imo. If I could leave zero stars, I would. We have been long time clients of Ricart Kia. My husband dropped off his car for standard service, like we always do. When he went to pick it up, we were appalled to see that Ricart Kia was doing nothing to enforce public health requirements for COVID. We are both at risk people, and were taking all the needed precautions. However, despite the signs all over the service office, the staff did nothing to enforce social distancing or masks. Less than half of the customers were wearing masks, and about 25% of the staff were without a mask as well. We both have been very careful, and isolating during the entirety of the pandemic. Ricart Kia offered no other solution to let us check out without encountering the public and risking our health and safety. We were not given the option to checkout and pay over the phone. The staff insisted that he wait inside, with a group of other people, without enforcing any reasonable safety measures. I am disgusted, and disappointed with how Ricart has treated the pandemic. It is clear they do not care about their clients health and safety. We will not be doing business with them again. We have also reported Ricart Kia to the Ohio Dept of Health for violating the executive orders requiring masks in indoor spaces. read more

Don't get your car serviced by Ricart. They charge you more than other dealers and try to charge they to charge you for things stating it comes with other things. Then you end up more. Always ask if there's a additional charge. Oil change is 120$ at Ricart but 89. At Germain. And they cars they sell are lemon's. read more

When car shopping I expect the sales associates to educate me regarding a vehicles features and equipment. I'm an extremely uncomplicated car shopper. I usually come in well prepared including mentioning features I desire to have and features I can do without. I expect to be told accurate information! Especially when I asked not once but at least 20 times if said vehicle has ALL of the EXACT same safety features as the vehicle I'm turning in. I even called out the required features by specific name. I was told yes many times. As a consumer I can't possibly know all of the features on all of the new vehicles between each model and trim level. I expect the sales associates to know this information and to provide me with accurate answers. Furthermore the staff presented me with two extremely compelling choices: a Kona Limited and a Sportage PHEV. They knew I loved both options so much that I was about to just flip a coin to decide between the two as the monthly payment was identical. They had every opportunity in the world to inform me that the Kona DOES have the features I wanted but the Sportage does NOT. My choice would have been made on ACCURATE details. Instead because I was given INACCURATE information I went with the Sportage. Now I'm stuck with a vehicle that doesn't have what I was told it would. Heartbroken and livid. read more

We ended up at Ricart after shopping at other dealerships. We'd been mislead and had wasted our time at other Kia dealerships. A call to Ricart revealed they had the exact car we wanted. Salesman went to lot and sent us a photo of sticker on window because I didn't want to be misled again. We drove to Ricart and had an extremely smooth and straightforward purchase. It was probably the easiest car buying purchase we've ever had. Service experience has been top notch. Easy scheduling, on time except for a small delay once, lots of communication, large clean waiting area with free, quality snacks. We skipped service during Covid so I'm disappointed to read about lack of precautions taken last year. No excuse for that. My daughter bought a Kia from this dealership 3 weeks ago. I now know it was a mistake to buy a Kia. We thought it would be safe in a parking garage that we pay $100 a month for at her UC apartment. The first week she was on campus the window was broken and her steering column was torn apart. There was also another Kia in the garage that was broken into as well. I called the Ricart dealership in Groveport and spoke with Josh (used car manager) to explain my concerns about my daughter's safety and her level of stress. We didn't realize our insurance (State Farm) that we have had for 26 years would not cover the vehicle until after we purchased it. We tried Progressive and Grange. They will not cover the car either. I explained the situation to Josh, asking if we could pay to have the vehicle fixed out of pocket and then bring the car back to sell back to get something safer and reliable for our teenage daughter. His first response was, "that's not our fault, vehicles get stolen all the time. I can tell you, that if you bring it back you won't get what you paid for it." I told him that we have purchased at least 4 vehicles from them. He offered no solutions or any sympathy. My teenage daughter saved 13k down and borrowed almost 7k for the rest and for the extended warranty. I can tell you that Josh will not be an asset to your company without some serious training in customer service. My family will not be purchasing any more vehicles from Ricart. I called the Kia dealership in Lewis center and had the total opposite customer service. The gentleman I spoke with was absolutely great. He sympathized and gave me multiple suggestions. He told me who to call in Cincinnati to get a free anti theft steering wheel device as well. That would have been good information to get from Josh at Ricart. I drive a 23 Kia Telluride. Guess who will be getting all of my service work. I can tell you it won't be Ricart. With the bad publicity Kia is getting, I would suggest that everyone you employ have a course in customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS PLACE......save yourself the hassle and go to a different Kia. I wanted so badly to give this place a great review, and I would have if I wrote this the day I bought my car.  Everyone was very nice and friendly to deal with but this situation has been a nightmare. To start.......as soon as I got home I realized they gave me the wrong spare key. I called the dealership and was given the run around, I was told to talk to service, service told me to talk to sales, and no answer was given. I texted the sales person who sold me the car twice and was told he would look into it and nothing happened. Unluckily/luckily for me, 2 days later, my brand new car would not start so when I took the car in for service, they found the spare key. 2 days after buy the car the car would not start correctly. Sometimes it would take 5-10 minutes. This I understand, because things happen with new cars, but the process after is where it went wrong. First, you would think when a brand new car with 40 miles has issues there would be some kind of urgency or help from the dealership, but it was business as usual for the people i spoke with on the phone. I brought the car in, the service person was very nice and sweet but the time spent at the dealership was mind numbing. After the hour and 15 minutes of waiting to hear the issue, i was told that it had a bad starter. They didn't know if they had the part in, and the hour it took to figure out that they needed to order a new starter is what was irritating. Why does it take an hour to figure out if you have a part? and then another 30 minutes to get me into a rental? Anyways, when i picked up the rental i was told i had to fill the car up with gas and a laundry list of other things i could not do. Excuse me.....i just bought a brand new car, had to take up 3-4 hours of my time driving there and waiting around and now you want me to pay for my gas to drive back and forth when i just bought a new car 4-5 days before? What a joke. After all of this I went and spoke with a sales manager to voice my displeasure. He wanted to talk to a GM so he left for a minute. Upon his return, i got the sign "i'll be with you in one minute" and then i sat there for 15 minutes, while he tried to get two older ladies to not leave without buying a car..........this shows me how much they value a customer. To repeat......he had me wait for 15 minutes, while he tried to get two older ladies not to walk out without buying a car. I was 10 feet away so i heard every word and could not believe he was doing that in front of me.....knowing i had already been there over 3 hours..... Lastly, I wish this was a joke because you can't make this up. I put a substantial amount of money down on the car. One day after this service issue, the same manager from above called me and asked me when i was going to pay the rest of my down payment. The check had already been cashed for the exact amount i was supposed to put down........and now they are calling asking where the rest of the money was.......after he realized they messed up, he called back and said "they found the check and there was a mixup". This place sucks and they really need to get their shit together. Yes, there are some very nice, sweet people there (Amber in service), but the place is too big for their own good and they are a complete mess. Especially after voicing all of my issues to the manager, wouldn't you double check to make sure I paid my down payment before you call me to ask for more money? Save your time and aggravation and go somewhere smaller that takes care of the customer and doesn't just see you as a number. read more

Called to make an appointment for service. Was on hold for 5 minutes. Hung up and called back; after phone rang 20 times, received message to leave name and number - call would be returned. I doubt that Rick Ricart would deem this low level of customer service to be acceptable. I thought that the attention to customer service would be on par with the attention to sales. Worst experience ever. Got told the wrong lane to go in to go to a diagnostic for my Kia Soul. So I'm sitting there looking stupid and nobody came out to help me or at least tell me I'm in the wrong lane and a car ended up getting in front of me and I had to wait even longer. The diagnostic took over 3 hours. I had to keep asking about it. Then they tell me something is severely wrong with my car tire rods and it's dangerous to drive it's over 2000 to fix so I take it to where it originally got fixed at which is AAA because I have warranty at AAA when they fixed my tire rods and then I go up there say nothing is wrong and as tight as can be. They just want their money at this point. And mind you this is not my first diagnostic this is my second one.. and half the shit that was wrong last time wasn't even wrong this time .. can't trust nobody nowadias read more

Many problems with service at Ricart Kia. As someone posted earlier, I have no issues with the greeting service personnel staff that meet you when you arrive. They have been courteous and professional. But the actual MECHANICS, the guys and gals behind the scenes actually doing the work on your vehicle, are quite honestly - terrible. I'd even go so far as to say their work is abysmal. I have had multiple issues with Ricart Kia service. On my first visit, they stripped the tire lug nuts trying to get them off of the car, evidently not realizing they are LOCKING lug nuts and you need the special tool (in my glove box - and I let them know where it was) to get them off. But in any event, this is a Kia SERVICE CENTER. Do they not KNOW that you need a tool for lug nut removal? Evidently not. I had to argue with them to get the service manager to replace the lug nuts with a new locking set. On my 2nd visit, I requested a front headlight change. They said they did it and charged me for it. When I got home I happened to put the headlights on in the garage and the bulb that they were supposed to have replaced was still OUT. I had to go back and have them actually replace it, again having to argue that I was not going to pay for the new bulb twice in one day. On my final visit, they had to open up my center console to do some recall work. When the service tech put the console back together, he/she ENTOMBED my phone charging cable in the center console, with just the end sticking out of the side of the console. I called them to explain what they had done, and they said they could not help me for a few weeks, so I went to another dealer to take the console apart and remove the charger cable. How does a mechanic entomb a phone charger cable inside the center console and NOT realize nor see the error? This one really got me. Talk about horrific service. I have had it. I would not buy another car from Ricart and will not bring any car there for service. I think they are too big for their own good, one hand does not know what the other is doing, and from now on I will buy from anyone BUT Ricart. And for sure I'd not have any service work done there. read more

I'm going to start by saying I purchased 2 other new Kia's from here and had a wonderful experience. Now forward 2-1/2 years we go into there on 3/28/2016 and pick out the Sorento we wanted and did all the whole test drive & paperwork thing. After sitting there the salesman leaves and here enters the finance manager who was pushy but at the end of the day we couldn't agree on a payment so we left without any problem. The next morning a little after 10:am the internet sales manager calls me and he explained to me that if we went with the standard Sorento and not the 3rd row that they can get the deal done. I agreed and we set the appointment for 5:30pm that day to pick out the smaller Sorento and all we had to do was sign & drive back home. We drove the 30 miles back to Ricart and when we got there it was like we never been there before. We had to do the test drive & paperwork thing all over again. Now this time this weasel Jeremy was the finance manager and he was the most unprofessional worm I've ever had to do business with. I had talked to Hatfield Kia that morning about what we wanted and they guaranteed us the payment we wanted but since Ricart said they already had it done we went back. After listening to Jeremy's bullsh-t for almost a hour and asking him numerous times about where our deal from this morning went he looked at me and my wife and said if Hatfield Kia can do it then go there. I lost it on him calling him everything I could think of. We were lied to just to get us back there and they tried to scam us into a payment we told them we couldn't afford. I'd like to add though after we left we did go to Hatfield Kia like Jeremy suggested and we worked with a wonderful salesman there by the name of Cagney Seay there. We bought our 2016 Kia Sorento from them and they got us the payment we were looking for. I give Hatfield Kia 5 stars all day long and Ricart has lost all of our business moving forward. read more

This is in regards to Service. Which should be consider if buying a new vehicle from Ricart as warranty will require maintenance to be done here. The staff are polite and friendly but somewhere behind the scenes the ball is almost always dropped. They regularly order the wrong parts and have you scheduled. You'll drop off you vehicle and get a ride home just to find out they ordered the wrong parts or accidentally sent them back. Or my favorite is when they say it's been done and you get all the way back home to see they didn't do anything yet they billed ya. And don't bother having them detail. It's a complete waste of money unless all you were expecting is a surface clean. I tried them 3x before finally giving up. And while they might offer 10% off or to fill your gas tank it's still not worth the headache. I actually feel bad for how often I have to point out the errors. I have to take pictures before and after to prove nothing was changed. read more

Upon driving into this mega-complex of cars one would think you've arrived at the Valhalla of auto dealerships. Don't be fooled. Now, let me preface this by saying the car salesman I worked with was absolutely wonderful. He was nice. Courteous. Attentive. Patient. Offered assistance. And genuine. Everything you'd want a sales person to be. I knew my credit score going in, I already had an existing loan and had all of my information before coming on the lot. I test drove a beautiful Kia Soul in Fathom Blue and it was fully loaded. I was I love with this car. I was ready to bargain. The awesome sales guy got all of my information together and did a great job of keeping me informed. And this is where it all went pear-shaped. Enter the "finance guy" a epitome of what you would think a greasy overpaid car dealer would look like. Slicked hair. Flashy jewelry. A tacky houndstooth sport blazer. You get my point. He comes in with all the fan fare of chorus line from some Broadway show. What I expected from him, the professional was . . . Well, professionalism. What I got was an over-acted charade. He went over numbers, but only just . . . He focused on how much I was putting down (which by the way was 1500 by the time I was ready to deal) and while he never mentioned credit scoring by name, he made it a dramatic point to quote what numbers would get me to a better interest rate. Ok, fair enough. . . I had gone into this knowing I had some hiccups. However, I knew I could get financed. THEN came the creme de le creme of acting bits, he played this game where he grandly stated how he needed to "confer" with " Mr. Ricart" about what could be done. He picked up the phone and pretended to talk to someone on the other line. His words and I'm not making this up were "yes sir, no sir. . . I understand sir. . . Is there any way to get it down to this price sir . . . Ok sir, thank you sir" and hangs up the phone. At which point he turns to me and starts goes into this disappointed routine where he doesn't even try to make me believe he had a real conversation with someone on the other end about actual banks and interest rates or even trying to call to other banks to see if a better rate could be found. He doubles down on me putting more money down and even that would put my payment well over what I wasted to pay. He did this act over THREE (3) times. I mean seriously folks, this man was so disconnected with what he thought the average person knew about financing a car it was almost comical, if it wasn't for the fact that I was the one wanting to buy the car. Let me give you a little pretext -I am a 44 year old man, I've had several new cars in my lifetime. In fact ALL of my cars have been new, so this was by far NOT my first time at the rodeo I couldn't believe his acting. His charade. It was. . . Just plain greasy and disrespectful to my intelligence. I let it play out. Let him know. Where I stood. What I wanted to put down and what I was willing to pay monthly. Again, not once did he speak about trying to find another lender or different banking institute to go to, he instead went back to his sad charade of acting and posturing. Talking about the benefits of the car, what Kia financing is looking for, etc. I was patient. I let it play out and finally I again stated my sound logic. My payment. My down payment. And thanked him. I let him know if decided to deal with me to call. I left. Needless to say I did not get the car. I DID however purchase a new car three days later from a totally different dealer. The SAME exact make and model with the SAME exact features in a lovely Inferno Red. The dealer I went to accepted my trade. In full. Took the down payment I had originally wanted to put down and matched my monthly payment expectations. Now, the other dealer did have to research a few banks and do a little research to get me where I needed to be, but that my friends is what's supposed to happen. The moral of this story. Ricart Kia is not a place to get a car. It's a great place to and see a circus shit show. But, don't go here and expect an honest answer. Go someplace else. Please, save yourself the time. The money. And your suffering. Take it from me. This place is worse than a cheap jewelry store owned by a man named Vinny. Stay the heck away from this godawful dealership. read more

Cameron sold us exactly what we were looking for and the finance guys were great as well. Since our purchase Cameron has contacted us several times to check on us-and even called on my birthday! The only nice thing about Ricart is the selection. The rest of the experience is awful. They have some ridiculous method that divides up the car selling process. You deal with a different person for each step. It's very off putting. They also insist that their stated prices are as low as they can go. If you dare attempt to haggle they get a manager & they treat you like you've been sent to the principal's office. They scold you for daring to negotiate. They do a large volume so they have no incentive to be considerate. It's no big deal to them if you walk away & that's exactly how they treat you. They made the entire experience a great one. They saw to it that our needs were met and helped us drive home in a new car! We have been Ricart customers for years (purchased 4 vehicles and were getting ready to purchase vehicles 5&6 from Ricart). We've also sent in several family members and clients of mine because in the past we had always been very happy with Ricart. We had two leases expiring soon and had been researching a few different cars over the past few months and spoke with the Jeremy Harr (the Kia sales manager) on several occasions to figure out when the best purchase time would be to maximize our deal (end of lease, manufacturer incentives and so on). We even discussed where we would be payment wise (give or take a few depending on current incentives) once we finalized the two leases. My husband stopped in yesterday to make the purchase of the first car with the second car to follow a few days from now. Jeremy Harr told him a payment that was several hundred above what was originally discussed. When my husband asked for a breakdown as this made zero sense Jeremy Harr acted very condescending and patronizing. He tried to present the manufacturer incentives as a dealer discount. When it was brought up that we would be purchasing not 1 but 2 vehicles he very much acted like he could care less. He was rude and unprofessional during ever interaction we had with him however unfortunately the associates we've worked with in the past (Aaron Andrews and Jeremy Young) have moved up in the company. My husband promptly left Ricart and called a different Kia dealer in the area. They took the time to make sure that every figure was clearly explained (money factor, depreciation, incentives...) At Ricart we felt like they were trying to hide something or pull one over on us. Needless to say we are now owners of TWO brand new Kia's and Ricart lost some very loyal customers. My job is also in sales and if I approached a sales transaction the way Jeremy Harr does I'd need a new job. read more

Their service department is a joke. Twice now I've brought my car here for repairs, and twice now I have had to come back because they don't know how to manage their parts. I made the appointment more than a week in advance so they would have time to get the parts here, but they are so incompetent that somehow that is still not enough time. When I showed up for my appointment today they took two hours to tell me that they don't have the serpentine belt that I need and it would be three days before they could get it here. Last time I was here they told me it needed replaced, so I already knew it needed replaced and that is why I made the appointment to have it replaced, not checked. And the trashy woman that I spoke with needs to take a breath mint after she smokes if she's going to talk to people. Yuck!!!!!!! read more

I want to thank John in Kia at Ricart. After a horrible experience from another lot, I felt hopeless I was going to get into the car I wanted. John took my needs into consideration and got me into a car other dealers told me I couldn't get due to my credit/issues with my last lendor. He will make it happen. Well, Ricart offered me $100 of my $303 they charged me for unnecessary work. They should have refunded at least $200 for the flush because all my car needed was a computer re-set - which they lied about doing. (I had to go to another transmission shop to have the re-set done - MISSING a day of work- which also cost me!) If $300 is worth losing my next $20,000 car purchase, so be it. My friends and family will not go there either now. read more

I recently had work done on my car at Ricart in Groveport Ohio. The contact person for me was a girl by the name of Amanda Johnson who was very rude and inconsiderate. When I received my car back I was livid at the fact that merchandise was stolen out of my car not to mention Amanda did not greet me and go over my document regarding the work that was done on my car until I actually asked her to and even doing so she had an attitude. I would not recommend anyone to go to the Ricart Kia service center. read more

We leased our vehicle through Ricart, we are very conscious of paying bills on time and made every.single.payment. on time for 36 months, turned in a VERY clean vehicle. We were aware of the "turn in fee" and of course were planning on paying every penny. They bill us the next month after turning in our car. We called, and asked if we could simply split the payment up into two payments (Turn in fee was around $450) they said, if we waited for the recovery team to pick it up they will let us..Assuring us it wouldn't be sent to collections. Mind you, I could have easily put the $450 on a credit card, but really do not like doing that. I just simply wanted to pay cash. Well, low and behold they sent it to collections!! My husband and I had good credit (760) and it dropped our score 75 points and has messed up our financing on our addition on our house that we wanted done before the baby we are expecting is born. IT seriously put a huge wrench in our lives. I'm SO disappointed, no one would talk to me (aside from being rude) on the phone, no one would listen or care. I called begging just to pay the full amount to reverse it and everyone just bit my head off and wouldn't help. Never, ever will I recommend this place to anyone. It was bad enough that they didn't help, but even worse that everyone was mean in the process. read more
