I ordered a Chattanooga roll for my meal. This is what a Chattanooga Roll is according the menu at Ichiban: 93.Chattanooga RollCrunchy shrimp, cream cheese, asparagus, avocado in soy wrap top w.snow crab and ichiban sauce $15.95 I was brought a roll that was absolutely smothered with what looked like hot dog slaw, but I was told it was mango slaw. No crab meat anywhere on the roll. It was no where close to what I ordered. I have ordered a Chattanooga Roll as my meal regularly for some time at this establishment. I brought it to the attention of our waiter, Devin, that I got the wrong roll. He proceeded to let me know I was wrong and that even though the menu did not say the Chattanooga Roll had slaw poured all over it that he was right because he knows what he's talking about. So forewarned - if you order the Chattanooga Roll it will be slathered in mango salsa like Bunyans slaw on a hot dog. Don't make it make sense that it's not listed that way on the menu- you should know extra ingredients are on items randomly on the menu. I was never offered an alternative - I was only told how wrong I was. We paid full price for the wrong order and Devin was graciously tipped, but this debacle deserved a review. + read more

Steaks a little under cooked, dr pepper fire tho But i need mote character to submit this so ill go in honest depth. We arrived and we sat down at our table, the lady took our drink order and we got 2 dr peppers and 2 california rolls. The california rolls were good and we at all the pieces. Our food came out(two hibachi steaks). I ordered mine medium rare and my girlfriend ordered her medium, mine is the one in the picture. I ate like 5 or 6 of them and my gf said something about how spongey hers is. And i was like yeah mines very weird. I cut mine open and seen the reddest, most raw meet I've ever encountered. OMG, how can a restaurant serve food as such. My husband order the bento box. The teriyaki Beef was so tuff and chewy it was like eating beef jerky. The Tempura shrimp was not clean and still had the black vein inside. Picture attached. The tempura sauce was straight out of the cooler/cold. Who likes warm tempura with ice cold tempura sauce? The General Tao chicken seems to be from a frozen bag. Not sure but sure tastes like it. I order a rainbow roll and some of the fish was so steal and old that it was opaque. They messed up my order twice, messed up my bill and the waitress brought me the check before the food arrived. Will not return.

Well, i am embarrassed. I thought i left this review months ago. My wife and I came here June 10th. Our anniversary. I called and made reservations just in case. Our waitress was young and new and super nice. We had the love boat for 2. The food was some of the best sushi I have ever had. The service was absolutely perfect. My friend and I chose to go here because we both love hibachi, and this ended up being the worst experience I've ever had at any hibachi restaurant. First, the meal does not include salad or soup, like virtually every other hibachi restaurant, but that's not a huge deal. I decided to get the ginger "salad" anyway, which cost $3.50. It was a few pieces of iceberg lettuce with ginger dressing so watery that it was like soup in bowl, no other vegetables included. Next we got the smallest amount of rice possible (it was so small that I did not take a single bite and asked the manager about the portion size and he accused me of eating it all before calling him over). I got the vegetable option for the hibachi, and the vegetables were precut, unseasoned, and so hard that you could not stab them with your fork. The manager was extremely rude when he came over after I requested him. I worked in the restaurant industry for years, and it takes A LOT for me to complain or send back food. As stated before, he tried to gas light both me and my friend who ordered the same meal and took maybe three bites between us both. Our server was very sweet, though. Right away the smell of old grease was offensive. Then my chicken in the sesame chicken was dry and chewy. Rice was good.

This is seriously my favorite restaurant in Florence!! I always get the Chattanooga Roll or shrimp hibachi. I would eat here every day if I could afford it. read more

really good! the place was clean and tidy. our servers were very sweet and friendly. the one and only reason i give 4 stars and not 5 is because they gave us our yum yum sauce in little sauce containers and they didn't give us a bottle or the option to give ourselves the amount we wanted. i'm sure there's a reason behind it, but i'm a big sauce person and love a bunch of sauce. our food came out fairly fast and it was all a 10/10. we ordered a california roll and a chicken tempura roll, both super fresh and tasty. we both also got the hibachi fried rice. i got the vegetable and he got chicken and steak. the vegetables were very fresh which was great! read more

While I love this place and eat here often and will continue to, Daniel (the server with black hair) is rude and we have had multiple issues regarding extra charges, etc. The most recent time, I ordered takeout and he got upset with the lady who took my order and said she didn't charge me enough. He then proceeded to take the card from my hands and charged it more. Great food, but he needs to go read more

We ordered two orders of steak hibachi through DoorDash. When it arrived it had yum yum sauce covering everything inside of the bag. I called the restaurant to ask about what was in the yum yum sauce due to having allergies in the home, the lady that answered was very kind and made sure to ask the kitchen for clarification for me. They did not hesitate to replace our order and Im so glad they did! The food was wonderful! They gave a good amount of meat in ratio to rice and veggies. The rice was not over cooked and the veggies were cooked just right. Definitely would visit again! read more

Never would have tried this place because located in a strip mall and just doesn't look like much passing by, but oh my goodness, it is wonderful! My new favorite oriental food place!
