Recently found out that the owner let's the cooks in the back drink beer while they are on the clock working and that the kitchen doesn't get cleaned as often as it should be! This is easily one of the top five worst places I have ever eaten. I hit this place up with my spouse after class. We were both desperately hungry and needed something in our stomachs right that moment. My chopsticks split. Okay, that's fine. They don't make them there. They're the generic red papered ones you get in most restaurants. The first thing I noticed about the food was that the steamed rice was burnt. At this point I was going to faint I was so hungry so I just decided to dig in. I got about 7 pieces of bland chicken and about three cups of nasty vegetables. No matter what vegetable I was eating, it tasted like celery. Red pepper? Spicy celery. Green pepper? Sweet celery. The white rice was so bland it was like eating nothing. There was no rice vinegar, it wasn't even cooked with salt. It was like eating tasteless mush. Have you ever eaten a cheap Banquet "Chinese" food meal? The kind with the red peppers and stuff? Yeah. Just go buy that. It tastes similar, but the T.V. dinner actually tastes /better/. I am not exaggerating. At the end of it, I ate most of the rice and what chicken I could pick out of the vegetable slush and threw the rest in the trash. Oh but wait, there's more! We ordered water. Have you ever had water that tasted like it came out of plastic? Maybe from one of those camelbaks? Imagine it had been sitting there a week. My spouse had to go get my water out of the truck because I couldn't even drink what they gave me. I will never eat here again. I have eaten here for years and loved it every time. However. Today the lady sent us home with the wrong order. We called. Before we could get the information out of our mouth she became very argumentative. We ordered vegetable lomein and then asked if fried rice came with the second part of the order - sweet and sour chicken. She said no. Then switched the lomein to vegetable fried rice. We never ordered vegetable fried rice. I do not eat it. I eat lomein every single time. I order the exact same thing. Have for years. Now she wants me to drive 30 minutes back with the fried rice to get my proper order that she refuses I ordered. I will not go back. The way she spoke to me on the phone I do not trust that she wouldn't mess with my food. Piss in it shit in it spit in it. She was yelling at us over the phone. The sour soup was very good. But did not mix well in my system. The lady at the front rinsed off a plastic spoon with her finger to put green onion on the top. The fried rice I asked for no peas extra onions. The rice already had a good amount of soy sauce on it and did I not have that freshly cooked appearance. Did they give me something someone returned? The cream cheese wonton was tough to bite off, the filing tasted like someone forgot to sweeten it with crab. No crab just bland cream cheese and chewy. The egg rolls were crispy but nothing special just cabbage inside. I would have liked some shredded carrots, pork, and seasoning. These are Hispanic people cooking Chinese food. The General T'so sauce was not balanced. It had more Hoisin sauce in it than anything. Imagine left over chicken, that's been tossed in hot temperature sauce!! That's how the General T''so taste. First of all when you drive up to the window EVERYTHING IS COVERED as if they are hiding what is going on inside! They open at 11am but the white rice isn't ready until 11:40 am! I sat in the window for 20 minutes without being informed that I was waiting on the rice. I went inside to ask if my order was ready and Carla instantly jumped on me with an attitude & threw my money back at me! Her attitude was Terrible & makes me not want to return! Probably the worst Pad Thai I've ever had. Absolutely no flavor or spice, was more like Lo Mein with peanuts in it. The crab rangoons were quite good, until I had a bite of all onion. It took 10 min just to get my food from the drive thru. After 8 min waiting there knocked on the window to ask for a refund and the girl at the window ignored me. I've been to other Chinese fast food restaurants that don't look that great from the outside but make up for it with quality food. I was pretty unhappy and called to talk to the manager to see if they just made a mistake or something and he was rude and beligerent, yet informed me that I could order "extra meat" for $2 more. The fried rice that came with the Sesame Chicken had no mixed vegetables or egg mixed in it and was severely lacking flavor. The chicken was not as crispy as I expected and mostly chewy. I ordered chicken nuggets and fries as well for my kids. The fries weren't salted at all and the nuggets were the economy or very cheap bland variety. My son ordered Szcheuan chicken, which came with very little chicken, almost like a vegetarian dish. He didn't enjoy the meal and doesn't want to go back, neither do I. My husband ordered a shrimp dish, again it came with mostly vegetables and very few shrimp. I am new to the Lakeworth area and was looking for a good Chinese place that wasn't buffet on my lunch break. The food was good but I gave this chain a 2 because of the inability to customize your order. For example if you want veggie fried rice and sesame chicken you have to order two separate meals instead of one meal with half veggie fried rice and the other half sesame chicken. So I ended having to pay double ($13)to get the combination of food I wanted. This is silly everyone knows fried rice is made in bulk and should not be an issue for anyone to add veggies in and mix it with your desired meat. Next, drinks don't come with the meal so I ordered water. After about two sips I noticed it tasted terrible so I purchased a bottle water which by the way was $3 because I had a debit card and they only allow a minimum of three dollars for card purchases. So what should have been a $8 lunch ended up being roughly $16 because of their refusal to allow customers to customize their order. On a positive note, since I had so much food I was able to bless two women who had about six children with them with some extra rice because I had so much. I won't be eating here again until they make some changes. read more
