I've been been several times recently. The service is still great but I have to update the review because this place has improved a million times what it used to be. I'm going to give this 4.5/5.0 it was one of the better Chinese buffets in the DFW area. Wonton soup and hot and sour soups were both tasty, the crab Rangoon was actually cheese, but it wasn't soggy. All of the main things you expect to see at a buffet were here and well done. Can't comment on the hibachi, have to try it next time. I'll definitely come back and try it next time! read more

This is the best buffet restaurant I have ever been to. Do you like Sushi?????? All you can eat here, and the quality is amazing. The other entree tables are just chock full of great dishes, Plus a great Salad Station and a Genghis Grille area. The other buffet lines include great choices like Wings, pizza, fries, and all the other amazing Asian entrees that you can imagine. The service is great, and the price is very reasonable $14.00 for full price, but there is a small discount for seniors. The food is cooked fresh every few minutes, and replenished WELL before the pans are empty. The use very small, shallow pans, so that nothing is allowed to stay on the line too long. Oh, and don't forget the dessert and ice cream line. It's a great way to top off your meal. If you are in the mood for a great buffet, at a reasonable price. This is your spot. This was one of the worst buffets i have ever been to. the food quality was terrible and very minimal selection. The sushi didn't have but a speck of fish to it with giant hunk of cucumber. Every battered chicken was soggy and the sugar donuts were missing the sugar? The edamame was the best part lol service was fine and place was decent on appearance and cleanness. We as a family go out to eat a lot. My kids love a good Chinese buffet. Price is a bit high. I have an eleven year old girl and she eats like a bird , but was full price. Food was a little bit better than average. With such a high food turn over rate, it keeps the food nice and fresh. Most things seem very warm or even hot. The servers are nice. And the place is pretty clean. Not very clean restrooms. Lots of graffiti on the bathroom stalls. read more

This was my first time to this Chinese buffet and it was pretty good! I tried several things but the honey chicken was my favorite. There was a really good selection from traditional Chinese food to sushi to chicken nuggets and some seafood options. Also a really big dessert table. It was about $20 each for a Saturday afternoon which isn't terrible considering how much food we got. Service was quick. I'll go back read more

First thing walking in is the environment and it definitely gives off Chinese which is a really good sign and the waitress are really nice and helpful. When I try some of the food though like the sesame chicken I notice that it was dry and unflavorful; other food thing the honey chicken and other food was decent or taste pretty good. It is good for takeout, but other than that, I don't really seeing this food as restaurant quality. So the food is decent at best, but won't recommend the sesame chicken. read more

Food was good, they had fresh beef and broccoli out all the time rice was always on deck and they had my favorite fried donuts! We took advantage of the hibachi bar it was delicious I would go lighter on the soy sauce next. The sushi bar didn't look appetizing to me. Desserts are your basic cookies and pre made sweets but not bad it does the job. Price seems decent for the quality of food. Deff recommend and will be going again!! read more

I didn't get the chance to take pics but I haven't eaten at a Chinese Buffet in many years so I was kinda excited. I wouldn't rate any of the food at a 5, well maybe the Hibachi station. The buffet stayed full and was beautiful. That got the 4 rating for me. The food was good but nothing off the charts. Just what I expected so I was good with it. Prices were great. If ever in the Fort Worth/Saginaw area give them a try. My wife says the Hibachi station was super so we will be stopping by for lunch again next week. read more

We came here today and we wiill never return. The food was gross, the counters and floors were so dirty. Everything had a similar taste and the soups had an aftertaste of dirty dish water. I left and my clothes and hair smelled of fried food and had to shower. I do not recommend. read more

Been looking for a good Chinese Buffet since Covid has been over. This one was quite good. The selections were great and the Hibachi was excellient. They don't let the food get old and dried out either. I wasn't pleased with the Egg Rolls but the Crab puffs made up for them.. Bathrooms could use a little bit more attention but all and all I'll be back! read more

For a china buffet, has a lot to offer. None of the food is amazing, but the spread of options was impressive. You would not have to wait for your food, you could eat whenever and take as much as you want. You wouldn't have to pay for the food but You would have to pay how many people are going to eat there.The China Buffet is a place I would definitely recommend to anyone who likes buffets and Chinese food. read more

My son and I frequent this place at least twice a month. You get great value for the price. They have a decent variety of items but I pretty much stick to my favorites..the honey chicken. Teriyaki chicken. Pepper chicken and spare ribs. They offer a Mongolian section which looks really good but have not tried it and they have a sushi section which I do not eat but for those that like it would enjoy. We really wanted Chinese and decided to try this buffet out. Covid has changed the way buffets are. We were seated and received our drinks in disposable cups and headed to the buffet. They had a gentleman who severed your food. The was ok, nothing to write home about. The service and care wins great. read more

I just recently ate here and the food was great! I liked the honey chicken and their steamed dumplings. The egg rolls had a fishy taste to them, I am not certain what that was all about. But I got a variety and everything else tasted great! The price is great and the place is neat and clean! I will definitely be visiting again soon. read more

A great buffet with so many options! Servers were great and always had our water glasses filled and grabbed empty plates quickly. The food reminded me of a small chinese buffet I grew up going to and it was delicious! Definitely a family friendly environment. We used to go here regularly. But post covid we started having issues. I don't know if they are using old food, contaminated food or poor hygiene in the kitchen or food handling but the last 4 times it made atleast one of us sick. The last time was the only time that we both only had China flag and both of us felt we had food poisoning. So never again. I contacted the restaurant manager about it but nothing changed. He told me no one else had complained about being sick so it was just me. read more

Since China Flag opened we have eaten there probably 100 times including taking the whole family. Sorry about the mess the kids made. China Flag is the best Chinese/sushi place for the money in the metroplex. We have never been disappointed by the food quality, cleanliness or service. For this past New Years we took the whole family for the crab leg special...awesome. Now, with this Covid BS, I'm worried China Flag will never reopen. I am very disappointed Th host quoted me $1.99 for won ton soup to carry out. I purchased two. She never stated there was a limit to the number of wontons to include in the soup, and I would have totally paid for it. What wasn't acceptable is she never counted them...( there were six in each), she looked at my bowls and took upon herself to charge my credit card an additional $3.00. I would have never know if it wasn't for the grand total of $15.00. She didn't give me the option todecline the soup nor did she inform me of her intent to charge my card. What would have been acceptable is to charge me what she quoted me and offer a next time suggestion. Not cool. Her response to my concern was each customer should add only up to 5 wontons. My concern is I didn't see that in writing nor was I told when Initially inquired of the price of the soup. Point? Don't cheat Americans by inventing prices as you go. I was a regular customer. But I will not return as I dont trust your business at this point. Future consumers: Watch the prices. Watch that carry out scale and pay close attention to the customer service. read more

One of the best buffets I've been to! Great selection of entrées, however the complaint I have is that when the the favs are gone it takes them an extraordinary long time to replenish them. For example the shrimp which is the main reason I come here. I've seen people waiting for it who buy to go plates over 30 minutes and eventually leave without. Frustrating to say the least. 5-star if they were more on top of this issue. read more

The lunch buffet on weekdays is only $7.99 . This location has a pretty wide selection of items but the food is mediocre. The sushi pieces can be hit or miss at times. the Hibachi station is good but people steal your plate sometimes. Decent place. read more

I used to Love Love Love going to this buffet however its had gone down. Last time we went they charged us four adults, when it's was two adults a 4year old and a baby. I asked why they charged us for 4 adult plates they said it was because we were 4 people. Ummm my daughter doesn't even jello. Any who! The food is good, they don't change the sushi variety but they have a great mix of Chinese and American food so every one can enjoy my son did enjoy the fried chicken and a slice of pizza. The best to my opinion is the sweet and sour soup. I would go just for that. Delicious. Overall I would go but I have to check if they charged me the correct amount every time which can be a first world problem annoying. read more

My kids ecah ordered a bento box, and they loved it. My 12yo hardly ever eats the egg rolls, but this time he did. He got the Orange Chicken Bento, and there was plenty of food in it. In fact, he ate about half, which leaves him enough for an afterschool snack. Perfect. My husband ordered the Beef Broccoli plate, and it looked and smelled delicious. Again, plenty of food. He also ordered a Cali roll, which was really good. My other son ordered the Sweet and Sour Bento, and ate pretty much all of it. He said it was way better than from the place we usually order from. That's high praise from him. I ordered a couple of sushi rolls, one without rice and one with. Both tasted very fresh, and were plated very well, considering it was a takeout order. Gold Dragon Roll - again, just okay. It was really soggy because of how dense it was. Crab Rangoon - served in big puffy shells. Not a fan. The inside felt more like slaw, rather than creamy. Overall - it's a nice quick place. I plan on trying a few more dishes before making a final judgement. We ordered to go. It was quick and accurate!

I appreciated the recommendations and adjusted spice levels on the menu. I went with the chicken tikka masala (medium level) that came with complimentary basmati rice and had butter naan. The chicken tikka masala was creamy and flavorful and paired well either the warm buttery naan. The spice level wasn't as hot as I thought, so I'll get hot level next time. The prices are comparable with local Indian restaurants. Since Palate is located in a shopping center, parking can be limited, however there are plenty of places to park. We enjoyed our food and time here and look forward to returning.
