Enjoying a delicious rice dish or a Pad Kee Mao - I highly recommend this place! Great service, super tasty food, and everything comes out fresh and right on time."

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came in was greeted very nice atmosphere![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Tried the wonton soup it was okay little too over cooked pork but we had the egg rolls and Thai fried rice lunch and both were delish I would come back here ! Still would recommend !

Let me start with the Fried egg roll since it was the first to hit our table as a compliment to the lunch offering. Pad Thai and Thai Fried rice with Beef. ( served with Hot and Sour soup and Egg drop soup) The Egg roll was the absolute best Egg Roll that I have had in years. Pure perfection! We also ordered as appetizers, fresh spring Rolls, Fired Dumplings. They were good. Not exceptional but good. Our main entree's, Pad Thai and Thai Fried Rice was equally as good. We will back!

Yesterday was the second time I tried here and it was pretty good both times. I've been looking for fried rice at a variety of places (pineapple fried rice) and tried here. I went here before, but forgot to review and didn't realize I've been there until I was already there, so I tried it as a reminder lol. I know fried rice is kinda a basic thing, but the price is right for lunch and while it's not the best Thai food I've had, it was pretty tasty. One thing I found odd is that this location puts thick slices of cucumber in it and the fried rice has thick chucks of tomato, but it also is packed with a lemon wedge which I've not seen with fried rice before, so squeezed the lemon on the rice for that extra zing. One complaint that goes for multiple places I've tried so far, is on a 5 point range for spice, I order 4 and it has no kick at all, so disappointing, but it is what it is. This time I also decided to get the mango sticky rice since not had that in many years at this point and it was pretty good. Unfortunately it's only the white rice and doesn't have the purple sticky rice as well and it's still early in mango season, so the mango was ripe, but still very dense and barely ripe. It also had a cherry slice on it, which is odd for that..It did taste very good, though. The woman behind the counter taking my order was very attractive, food came out a little quicker than was told, it was a pretty tasty lunch, and for all that food, was only $17 making it on the rotation of places to eat if in the area around time for lunch

Pad Thai with chicken. It's been too long since I've been here. Delicious and extremely reasonable lunch price Try this local restaurant with terrific reviews!

    Thai papaya salad

Great fresh food and spice levels mild, medium, hot, and super hot. Got hot for all 3 orders except the crispy wrapped shrimp. The shrimp was amazing with a good crunch on the outside. Basil rice was cooked perfectly, and papaya salad was the best I have had. Order for hotel down the street. Couple things, though: imitation crab meat was a bit overcooked, and no plastic forks, knives, or spoons were in the delivery package. Otherwise, they would be an easy 5

Pad Thai, green curry wrapped in DQ bag???
    Jason A.

Service was friendly and overall the food was mid, I've certainly had worse. I read reviews about drinks having Chick fil A lids and deliveries bagged in DQ bags and thought.... "These guys are hating ". But I ordered over the phone last night and picked it up, when I got home the curry had been bagged in a DQ paper bag. Attaching a pic. Thus is a big deal to me because I'm wondering if they are washing old cups and lids and recycling bags from other restaurants and I see safety contamination issues with that

Our favorite local Thai spot. We eat here at least once a month, and it's always fantastic. The service is outstanding. They're always so friendly and fast, even when very busy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is very clean and has a cozy ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We love dining in, as well as ordering takeout.

We dined with our little ones, and they are definitely kid-friendly, which I love. That was when I fell in love with their Kung Pao chicken and have been ordering it every time. I also ordered chicken Pad see ew for our little ones, and they liked it. My friend and I ordered from their lunch specials. It is Monday through Friday until 2:30 p.m, and they have a lengthy list of the main courses you can pick from, and it also comes with a side of either their fried rice or white rice and an egg roll. My first experience was great since the food was delicious and customer service was superb. Danielle is so welcoming, friendly, attentive and has provided superb customer service all the times I've been here. The owner is nice and attentive to his customers. The most recent time was today, February 24,2026. This is definitely a family owned business that cares about their customers. My little one loved their garlic chicken since I gave him some for lunch and he even licked his little fingers. That was definitely a first. 10/5 for him. Their little daughter is such a sweetheart and it looks like my little one made a new friend. The times we've dined in our waited on my food I go inside instead of just waiting on my car because they are just so sweet and welcoming. Their Kung Pao chicken spicy level 4 is one of my favorite dishes. 10/5 Garlic chicken is delicious 5/5 Chicken Pad see ew 5/5 My husband liked their orange chicken, and I'm just more of a savory or spicy kind of person when it comes to my food. The interior is spacious with about 8-10 booth tables and 4-6 tables in the middle, and they sit anywhere from 2-6 people, depending on the table. Overall, all the dishes we've had are filled with umami, delicious and good portions for the price. As one of my fellow Yelp friends mentioned, "don't get fooled by the exterior appearance." It's a great spot and I highly recommend you stop by if you haven't.

There's a reason they're cheaper than others. The Egg drop soup was eggs (nice). But the SR were still a disappointment. They're just iceberg lettuce some carrot shreds and the dipping sauce. I usually don't go back but there's something abt HB that wants me to try again.

A quick note on seating: the patio is lovely in theory, with the optional open windows and a breezy feel, but the chairs are not winning any comfort awards. Inside booths are the move. Also worth noting, this is Fort Worth, and once the thermometer hits triple digits, the patio conversation ends itself if the windows are open. Plan accordingly. Malai starts every table with steamed sticky rice and an eggplant dip, which is a charming little ritual and a genuinely good one. We also kicked things off with the Edamame, a heads up on the heat level there, and the Fried Imperial Rolls, filled with ground pork and shrimp and served with a sesame soy sauce. Fair warning: these do not photograph well and arrive at the table looking a little shy. Don't be fooled. They're flavorful, subtly spicy, and well worth ordering. For entrees, we tried the Basil Vegetable Fried Rice two ways, one vegan and one with chicken. The vegan version was a genuine surprise, with vegetables cooked just right and a flavor that didn't need the chicken to make its case. The mushrooms, however, had the texture of something you'd find in a hardware store. Chew at your own risk. The Green Curry, meanwhile, was a case of too much of a good thing. The curry was so heavy-handed it drowned everything underneath it. Sometimes restraint is a virtue. Save room for the Banana Pot de Crème. It's creamy, subtly sweet, and a graceful finish to the meal. The service at Malai is enthusiastic, and I do mean enthusiastic. The staff works as a team, all smiles, attentive, always nearby. Occasionally a little too nearby. More than once a plate nearly disappeared before we were done with it. It's a small complaint, and honestly a far better problem than the alternative. They're warm, cheerful, and clearly enjoy what they do, which goes a long way. Portions are generous, so order a few dishes and share the wealth. For a lunch stop between shops, Malai Kitchen punches well above its weight.
