Great lunch spot for Mediterranean cuisine! Generous portions and various protein options

I come here for lunch every so often. Very inexpensive place for lunch that delivers a consistent experience. Limited, simple menu with grilled meats, rice (duh), and salad (delicious Persian salad). The food is very good. Not very creative or exiting, but very good and quite healthy. Expansive dining room that seats a couple hundred indoors, plus outdoor seating. Casual place with usual suit and tie crowd for lunch, everyone else in flip-flops. Forgettable decor, clean bathrooms. Highly recommend it. read more

Rice used to be one of my favorite restaurants for lunch. Now, it's basically impossible to justify eating\ with their new prices. A bowl that used to be less than $16 is now over $25... For what reason? I promise the cost of rice, toppings and protein have not inflated enough to justice these insane prices. Oh and on top of raising theis prices, they love to gyp you one the quantity as well. It's no longer worth eating there. They're taking advantage of their customers and it's not ok. I will be telling everyone I used to eat there with to no longer go. The prices are predatory. Do better, Rice! read more

I frequently visit "Rise" to grab a bite, and the food and service are always outstanding. It's exceptionally well managed.

Great place to sit down in the afternoon or get a quick take out bowl from. Big portions with lots of protein and a good portion of carbs, all with a nice simple taste. This place is fraudulent. I bought a $100 gift card that was associated with my phone number and email address. I was not given an actual card. After ordering food and paying the same way I always have (giving phone number and deducting from balance) I was told that I couldn't do that anymore and that I needed an actual card!!! I explained I was never given a card and they looked up my balance with my phone number and still refused to give me my order. Instead they THREW IT IN THE GARBAGE! The assistant manager does NOT know how to do her job and very rude. I hope the owner is reading this and fires this staff! I asked for a refund and they refused. This is theft and fraud. read more

It was our last night staying in Brickell. None of us wanted to go out for dinner. We were looking for an option to bring back to our condo. One of my daughters and I went out exploring to see what we could find. Lo and behold, we found this little gem tucked away a block off the main drag in Mary Brickell Village. My wife said she wasn't hungry, so we got food for my two daughters and I. We walked back to our condo and started eating. The food looked, smelled, and tasted so good, my wife stole some from each of us. We were not amused, but we understood. This is a great concept and the food is outstanding. The lady who served us was very nice and patient with us as we tried to get my youngest daughter's order over the phone. The design of the restaurant was charming. This place should be packed every night. The slow roasted beef was a terrific, as was the chicken. The garlic sauce brought everything together. This was the one restaurant from Miami that I wish we had in Tampa. We would go frequently. Oh, and it is a great value for what you get. They have a unique menu so most People coming in ask questions about their platters. When I walked in and approached the register, I had to wait for the girls to stop chatting, they made no eye contact. It looked like the fact that I was ordering food annoyed them. Then when I didn't understand what came in a platter, she walked away and the other girl took my order. I haven't even received my food but the service was just unacceptable. I love this place. I always come to eat here because the food is very fresh and very healthy. Customer service is the best. The place is very clean. The food is very tasty and there's a variety things that you can order from chicken beef lamb and falafal and other vegeterian dishes. they have us basmati rice and a huge selection of hummus and yogurt sauce. read more

Been going to Rice for over 8 years and it is always delicious. I get the same thing every single time and it never disappoints. Back before there were so many delivery services Rice delivered so I have literally been ordering Rice since I moved to Miami and have never gotten sick of it. I always order the chicken platter. I came here today with my family for a quick lunch, it was actually my first time at this location. First thing I was impressed of was the great attention towards the guest. As soon as I opened the door the cashier said hello welcome to rice; and that made us feel great. We ordered two lunch specials and a side of white rice for my daughter. Great casual spot for halal food in the heart of Brickell ( only the chicken is halal). The chicken in my dish was really well seasoned and juicy, not dry at all like a lot of the Mediterranean chicken dishes I've had. All I can comment on is their take out option. My employers ordered some take out as we were moving house, and I had the JOOJEH - which in short is their chicken salad. It was a great salad with juicy succulent tasty chicken chunks. Very nice. I did not order or collect so do not know anything only the taste of the food when it arrived. read more

Good food, terrible service. I went here for the first time and was excited to finally try it out. When I went to place my order, I realized that there were 2 ordering counters. I walked up to one of the counters to place my order and the lady told me that I would have to place my order at the other counter. So I walked over to the second counter to place my order and the gentleman told me that I had to go back to the first counter. I went back to the first counter, and the woman sent me back to the gentleman. The confusion and the back and forth was just ridiculous. I finally was able to place my order and the gentleman was so rude. I asked him a question about one of then menu items and he said "I don't know. Just look at the menu". I explained that it wasn't listed on the menu and that's why I was asking. The entire interaction was terrible. It was so frustrating that I really didn't even want the food anymore. When my food came out (I ordered multiple items), they just set it on the counter in front of me. I had ordered the items to-go and there were multiple containers of food. I asked for a bag since I couldn't carry all the individual containers and you would've thought I asked for the biggest favor in the world. Thankfully the food redeemed the experience. We ordered the chicken kabob platter and a wrap. Both meals were good. We also ordered a side of French fries and they were awesome. read more

I'm a person of routine, once you make it into my rotation, you stay until I get sick of it. Rice has been in my rotation for like 3 years and I still like it! The sauce makes all the difference - and they like to hoard it like it was gold so dont be afraid to ask for more and ask again when they say they already put some inside your to go box. I love their lunch specials, and they have their own app to do take out. read more

Fresh, flavorful chicken platters. Despite its unassuming exterior, inside is quite a large space with clean, relaxing decor. I had heard good things about their chicken platters, but was skeptical- how good could a chicken platter be? IT WAS AMAZING. I got the Chicken Lunch Box (grilled chicken, basmati rice, Greek salad, hummus & pita, $11). The chicken was all white meat, perfectly juicy and charred. The rice was fluffy and oh so addicting with their yellow sauce. The chicken and rice combo alone I'd argue is better than Halal guys. But the salad, hummus, and pita were also super fresh and refreshing, rounding out for a well balanced meal. Overall, an awesome fast casual restaurant and definitely one of my new go-to spots in Brickell! read more

Terrible service, LYING staff member, and unprofessional in treatment of customers. I ordered two chicken platters, and I did not receive a receipt after paying, but saw the assistant was stapling receipts to the bag. When I got my bag, I did not check the food, assumed the order was correct, and went home. When I got home the order was WRONG. They had put in two beef wraps. Our family does not eat beef. I called to explain, and at first the assistant said they couldn't return the money because the manager wasn't present. She told me to go back, but the location was too distant from my home. She put me on hold and said she was now able to return money but only for one of them. She proceeded to hang up the phone. I've been going to this establishment for years, but refuse to go again until something is done about this unpleasant behavior. read more

Ordered chicken kabob, with rice and Greek salad, and a kids chicken bowl. Restaurant does not offer water for dine in, you are forced to buy bottled water. I asked and they said the only water they have is in the bathrooms. Kebab was ok, Basmati rice was dried, Greek salad is American salad with sprinkles of Feta cheese. Not even one olive to make it seem more "Greek." Kids shredded chicken was awful. Do not recommend. read more

I only eat at a handful of places in Brickell consistently and this is one of them! I usually get the chicken platter with rice and salad and I can make two meals out of it. The salad dressing is so good I could literally drink it and the yellow sumac sauce is amazing as well. I wish I knew the recipes! They also have make your own bowls and salads which are tasty, and everything is healthy and fresh. Employees are friendly and very efficient, even during the busy lunch rush. I make a point to eat here once a week. The only thing that could make this place better is if they added tabbouleh to the menu!! read more

Solid Mediterranean food and the menu is simple/straightforward... aside from vegetarian dishes, you basically choose a protein and whether you want it with rice or rice and salad. I ordered the Chicken Rice for dinner, and was pleasantly surprised that it was enough for me to split it into two meals! I ate about half the plate and realized I was pretty full. It might not have seemed like a lot in the beginning since it only comes with six chunks of chicken, but it also comes with a ton of rice, which filled me up. And the yellow (garlic) sauce that comes with the meal is amazing! The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, and since it was a bit cold inside, I chose to sit outside. I've lived by this place for a while now and finally gave it a shot. I like it because of the convenience and how fast they are with preparing food. It's pretty expensive for the food, however I guess the location plays a part in that. The food is good, I always get the chicken combo platter, I recommend that. I get their hot yellow sauce, which they never make enough of and always run out. Which I don't understand why they just don't produce a lot like they do their normal sauce. There's also another section of the restaurant where you can order plated options like kebabs. Conveniently located just half a block from the train stop that I used to get to my hotel from the Miami airport. Late dinner after flying cross country to Miami. I live in a place that has very few Mediterranean restaurants, and I do loves me a good kebab (I also lived in London off and on for a couple of years, and nothing beats a good doner kebab after a night out at the pub). We ordered falafels and the sirloin kebab, plus hummus separately. I will drool thinking about that sirloin kebab - it was crispy and grilled just right, tender and juicy on the inside. YUMMMMMY.
