The atmosphere is beautiful and really transports you from the busy street outside. They have a full bar and extensive menu. The feta cheese with pita bread was delicious and not too strong. Dessert was also a standout. Service could've been more attentive, had to ask for napkins and silverware, took a little bit to get to us but all told, it's a place worth checking out! Will be back for breakfast.

I had never tried Turkish food before coming to El Turco and all I can say is I'm a fan! My friend and I ordered the Baba Ganoush and Turco Salad to start, which were both delicious. We also ordered the Manti dumplings, which was my favorite dish of the night - so flavorful and different from any dumplings I'd ever tasted. The Lahmacun is a paper thin flatbread with lamb and beef on top - highly recommend this dish as well. The Kavurma was good, but when I go back I'd probably try the beef & chickpeas stew instead. The ambiance is very nice in the garden but it's probably best to enjoy in the fall or spring months when it's less hot in Miami.

Charming restaurant in the middle of the Design District. Food was excellent, service impeccable and ambiance charming! Valet parking and elevator to get to the second floor area where the restaurant is located. Short walk of about a block and a half from valet to restaurant

This is one of the best places in upper buena vista, one of the main reasons you visit. I made a reservation and we were immediately sat by the host. He was friendly. Our server was very friendly as well. I liked how there were a alot of options for sitting... inside, outside. I started with a Turkish coffee, small but is very strong and good. You need to start with the platter of spreads. IT came with 5 different spreads-- hummus, a beet dip, and my favorite was this spicy eggplant one. IT comes with warm pita and pickled veggies. Another must is the manti.... small bite sized Turkish dumplings packed with ground beef. We also got the fries that come with ketchup and a zangy mayo dip. Lastly we got a lamb kabob. All delicious. The wait was a little on the slower side but completely worth it.

The server was a gem. He was attentive, social and very kind. Food is always on point. You can't go wrong with the Turkish breakfast platter. The manti is good, too. And the atmosphere takes the cake. Upper Buena Vista has a great vibe.

I stopped by the breezy bar for a gin and tonic and was hit with $28.50. Crazy expensive. The food might be great but I'd say NO on a refreshing drink.

I got invited here for a friend's birthday. I had been wanting to go here for years. It is in upper buena vista. We went during dinner time. I wish I had taken photos of the food untouched. But I was not a big fan of the food. The food did not taste authentic. There are many options. It is good to share. I had mostly the chicken dish. I am willing to give it another try. I am going to try to come for brunch.

Well, it's difficult to criticize the place which had already Michelin!! Don't take it criticism, only recommendation from the person who go many many different restaurants all around the world. It was dark I didn't see around, still decoration looks really cozy, nice and unique... I wanna come to see again.. Service was fast and good too. There was a bit empty place at that time, it was 8 pm... Food was good too. Details! You know if there is a Michelin than your expectations get too high. Ok let's start; 1-MANTI; it was good. Especially the yogurt sauce. Texture and test was good. I prefer oil, red pepper and tomato paste sauce to top of yogurt for sure. It was nearly none... 2-DOLMA; It was ok. Cooking degree was good, I mean rice wasn't mashy. But taste was missing. 3-KISIR; it was tasty. We use fine bulgur for KISIR, it's thinner. 4-DÖNER WRAP; Ok, it's work in America but not in Türkiye. I can't say bad! But this is the truth. 5-LAHMACUN; dough was enough thin but it isn't chruncy it was mashy! And I prefer wrap it with greens especially with parsley! 6-RAKI; Mmm, not my taste. I don't know which rakı it was... 7-Tursu; the little green paper tursu was pretty tasty!!! Aaaand ; The PRICES were quite high!!! Over all, we are in Miami, all is works here but if it's in Türkiye all was average... Also I would like to congratulate you for doing in an other country and also for taking Michelin every year since 2022 Thank you!

Everything was amazing. The food is very tasty and the service is very nice. You can get unlimited tea with your breakfast if that's your vibe. The area is very cozy and great for group gatherings. You can even bring your fur babies to enjoy the day with them .

Had an amazing experience at El Turco. The Manti dumplings were absolutely to die for--rich, flavorful, and unforgettable. The chicken shish (more like a juicy steak kebab) paired perfectly with bulgur rice, and the Sarıyer börek with beef was next-level delicious their own version of beef empanadas. Not a fan of the Turkish coffee, but the tea was spot on. Cozy vibe, great food--definitely worth the visit!

We had such a great dinner on a Thursday night. Service was a teeny tiny bit on the slower side considering they weren't packed and it was earlier in the evening but nothing egregious and our servers were very congenial. The food was fantastic. We had the shishito peppers to start and we each got a protein bowl and shared the knufeh. They honestly give you such a large portion you could share it but the food was so good I ate almost the entire thing by myself. I usual favor baklava but I'm so glad I tried the knufeh, the flavors and texture were outstanding and complimented nicely by the Turkish ice cream. We also had a very nice bottle of Sancerre which I am now on the hunt for. The only downside with the seating is that it's all outside and it being summer, I wish there was something they could do about the bugs. Alas, not such an issue that it would deter me from retuning, which I definitely will be.

We called them to let them know we were running a little late and they were happy to hold our reservation for a few more minutes and it was great because this restaurant does get packed. Service is attentive and friendly... where they lost me was actually the quality of the dishes. Greek salad... was very sad. Overly ripped tomatoes, almost spoiled. Fish of the day sandwich (gyro style) was bland. It needed seasoning. NOT Good. Grouper from their specials... also flavorless. It comes over orzo which was overcooked. (Gummy)... and so on. I don't often have to write bad reviews but in this case I feel it is necessary. Way overrated. Way overpriced for the quality. Definitely not a restaurant I would recommend to anyone.

During our last visit, an expensive black Prada bag disappeared inside the restaurant. At first, the General Manager, CECILIA , confirmed that we arrived with the bag and stated they were reviewing all camera footage. However, despite multiple requests, we were never shown the arrival footage or provided clear evidence proving what happened to the bag. The communication became increasingly contradictory, and instead of transparency and professional assistance, we were eventually accused of acting "fraudulently" and formally trespassed from the property. What shocked us most was not only the disappearance of a valuable personal item, but the way loyal customers were treated afterward: no transparency, no proper cooperation, no accountability, and accusations without clear proof. We remained respectful throughout the entire process and simply asked for clear confirmation regarding the footage. Instead, the situation escalated into accusations and threats of trespassing. If personal belongings can disappear inside a restaurant and management responds this way, guests should seriously think twice before leaving valuables there. At this point, we sincerely hope the restaurant owner or upper management reviews this situation carefully, conducts a proper internal investigation into how this matter was handled, and contacts us directly in hopes of reaching a fair resolution regarding both the significant financial loss and the emotional distress we experienced as a result of this situation and the unfounded accusations made against us. We are still open to direct communication with the restaurant owner or upper management in hopes of resolving this situation professionally and fairly.

This was our first time here and Ahmet, our server, took great care of us. We weren't familiar with all the dishes on the menu, but he took his time going over the menu with us, made great recommendations on dishes to try, and just provided us with great service overall. We started our lunch with two glasses of red wine from Turkey and the wine was truly spectacular. It was light yet full of aroma and flavor and went perfectly with our meal. Highly recommend trying a glass of wine you can't find anywhere else on a menu. We ordered the Turkish Pozza from the lunch menu to share and it was one of the best dishes I've ever had. It was truly one of a kind and I'll be back just for this dish, it was so good. Super thin, perfectly crispy pizza, topped with finely ground beef, onions, tomatoes, and parsley it was so full of flavor it was absolutely delicious. For lunch, the pizza was only $10 too, what a great price for a truly special dish. All I have to say is, try it, you won't be disappointed! For our meal we ordered the chicken shish kabob served with rice and it was also very good. The chicken was a little charred which I really liked. We also ordered a side of asparagus to go with our meal and it was delicious as well. For desert I usually stick to Baklava since it's one of my favorites but our server really recommended the homemade Kunefe and the Turkish Mariah Ice Cream and told us we had to try them together so we decided to try something different. The deserts came out topped with a little bit of pistachio and they were also one of the best deserts I've ever had. They should be served together on the menu because our server was right they went perfectly together. The ice cream was special in of itself, I've never had ice cream made from goat milk, but it was so good, you have to try it as well. It had a thicker, more stretchy texture to it, than regular ice cream and wasn't as sweet which I loved and it was just absolutely amazing. We didn't even know it was made from goat milk till after we tried it, I'm so happy we did. The Kunefe was really good as well, it arrived warm, and the crispy shredded phyllo dough was coated in sweet syrup and went perfectly with the ice cream. Perfectly balancing each other. Highly recommend. Overall, I was really impressed with the food at Sumak Restaurant and I look forward to returning another day soon!

The complexity yet restraint of flavor, balancing indescribable buttery, roasted, earthy notes with a touch of umami and subtle tanginess from the yogurt. The Mezze Sampler was a nice option for trying three of the dips. All very tasty, but I've had slightly better elsewhere. The Sweet Jeweled rice was the other standout with flavor and textural variety that made each bite pop. I found the Roasted Brussels Sprouts undercooked and lacking the same level of flavor as the other plates. The weakest dish of the evening. The Grilled Whole Bronzino got top marks from the meat eaters at the table. Overall, 4/5 stars for a delicious meal but with tough competition around town limiting my ability to hit that 5.

Its location makes it ideal for a relaxed dinner after a sunset walk, and the ambiance leans into that cozy, family-style hospitality the region is known for. It included creamy hummus, eggplant-based dips like baba ghanoush, beetroot, yogurt spreads, and a pepper-eggplant mix, all paired with warm, fresh pita that kept coming out just right. Sipping Turkish tea in the Miami heat somehow worked perfectly, it was refreshing in its own way. For the main, I ordered the Iskender kebab, a comforting, flavorful dish of gyro-style meat over pita, finished with a light tomato sauce. We also tried Efes beer, a crisp Turkish pilsner that balanced the meal nicely. Despite us being a group of 10, Barış, our waiter, handled everything with impressive attention to detail, something many diners mention about the service here: attentive, welcoming, and genuinely hospitable.
