Rice Paper is one of the best Thai places in the area. Due to the Covid pandemic this local restaurant is only open for carry out orders, which is a shame because the staff that work here are funny and enjoyable to be around. I was in the area and in the mood for some Pad Thai. I've heard nothing but great things about Rice Paper, so I had high expectations. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by some of the nicest staff members I've ever encountered in the restaurant business. They talked me into getting their special chicken pad Thai. Since I am not a big fan of spicy food they recommend I get a 2/5 on the spicy scale with extra spice on the side. The pad Thai was full of great flavor. It was a kittle too spicy for my liking but I still enjoyed every bite. I can't wait to eat here again. read more

I had a Massaman shrimp curry dish. Very good. See photo. My wife, the vegetable fried rice. Both nice presentation. She has had better veg fried elsewhere but still very good. I had a Sake, seemed low end quality but it will do for the price. Plum wine name brand Kikkoman seemed off which is unusual. I would not order again. Overall I would go back. Food was the highlight. Visiting from SoCal, so used to good Thai food, but family wanted something different for lunch, so this had good reviews and was about halfway between us. It was lunch hours, but they still offered the full menu, good for them. Mom had tamarind duck, which was a dinner size portion. It was good. Dad had pad Thai, which was ok. I had red curry chicken medium spicy, and it was good. We had the shrimp spring roll wraps with a peanut sauce. Fresh and delicious. We had steamed shumai, pretty good. Service was good. It's a little pricier than some other places, but the food was all freshly prepared, flavor was really good. They have Thai beer to go with the meal, which is always a plus. I would eat here again. I absolutely loved the mango fried rice and they had all the orders laid out when I arrived making it easy to identify my order. The service and inside was decent. Love the atmosphere and decor, simple but attractive. Comfortable and relaxed, although a little tight/close to other tables. Service was on par and attentive, what you'd expect for a small place. I did not expected this place to be such organized and clean. The internal ambiance is so cool. The place is small and tidy but clean and well organized. It does not look over crowded even with all tables taken. Till today, I have been here 3 times and tried different dishes every time. Almost all the dishes have exceeded my expectations. I truly wanted to enjoy my meal tonight. I ordered what on the menu looked like a delicious dish. Then the assault happened at the table next to me. A black woman was dining solo and the owner started screaming at her. I haven't seen this type of behavior from an employee, let alone the owner, in forever. It was so bad that I lost my appetite. It gets better! After that woman came to our table to EXPLAIN why she verbally assaulted the woman dining next to us, I was flabbergasted! I refused my food because I lost my appetite. Can you believe she charged me for that meal?! I've NEVER had an experience like this. Their food could be amazing, however, when you verbally assaulted a patron in front of EVERYONE in such a small venue, you and your business is dead to me. No way! One of the most reliable and delicious takeout options in the area. Food is always super flavorful (I had the chili duck...YUM) and fresh. I also had the Devil Wings and Summer Rolls. The Summer Rolls definitely stood out. I loved how fresh the vegetables were and the basil decoration. Employees are always friendly and make the takeout process extremely easy. Extremely unprofessional owner. Literally yells at customers if you give her any constructive feedback. I was born and brought up in Asia and my spice tolerance is on the higher side. This place is no joke when it comes to spice. They offer 1-7 and even 2 is so spicy that it is almost inedible. I have eaten at several other thai and indian restaurants. I called the owner casually to give some feedback about spice levels and she basically started yelling at me. This place is expensive and it was disappointing to see how much they care about customer experience in return. It clearly holds no value for them and the owner is very arrogant. I have ordered in the past and specifically mentioned less spicy but they basically make the same super hot food. I got the Crazy Noodles and the chicken dumplings. The Crazy Noodles were just okay; I probably wouldn't order them again. The noodles themselves were gummy, the broccoli was overcooked, and there was just one shrimp ( not justifying the $3 extra compared to a regular chicken dish). The only thing saving this review from a one star is the chicken dumplings appetizer, which was exactly the flavor profile and texture I'd been hoping for.
