    Orange chicken

Ew the orange chicken I got was not good. To make it worse, it came with sweet and sour sauce on the side, may I ask why? I mean, most foodie knows orange chicken is not authentic Chinese but everybody knows it doesn't come with sweet and sour sauce. It's not sweet and sour chicken! The orange sauce was more like a teriyaki orange sauce. It didn't taste like orange chicken. I will order something else next time. Their crab Rangoon were just plain. No taste...bleh. I might give them another try one day when I'm desperate and lazy. The only good thing is they do delivery.

They get your money and send food you can't eat and then laugh when you call to send it back or get credit!! I've ordered from this restaurant many times and in the past 3 years and it has been pretty good up until now. I've never had to complain before. The food looks good but is old and tastes bad liken it was cooked another day and kept a day or so and then delivered. In the past a woman always answered and was very polite and friendly, she even knew me from past orders but, this time s man answered and was rude. Instead of any crispness the breading is soggy and sticks to the meat. A few days ago I had ordered 2 sesame chicken dinners that tasted awful. I took these pictures of it then. Called the restaurant the day after I ordered it and got the same man on the phone, he refused to issue a credit or to reverse the charge on my credit card. He actually laughed when I said that I would like a credit and that I could send the meals back. Do not order from this place all they do is get your money and leave you with food that you can't even eat.

I feel like I get a lot of the same things for lunch while I'm at work, so I tried this place simply because I hadn't tried them before and didn't look at any reviews. Chinese food can really add up so I tend to start cheap when trying a new place out and see how they do. I ordered the kids portion of the Honey Sesame Chicken, which came iwth fried rice for $5.49 and a spring roll for $1.29. Overall it was pretty okay. I wish there was less meat and more rice, but I think most people like that there is more meat. It's a good portion for the price. The chicken had good flavor and was still crispy, but starting to lose some of that texture. It had a good cook, just wasn't as tender as I would like it. The fried rice tasted fine, but was pretty plain. Fried rice is usually my judging point on a Chinese place and how quickly I am to return. It was pretty filling for a kids portion actually. The spring roll had a good crisp on the outside, but was kind of slimey on the inside. I'm a big texture person so I wouldn't order this again, even if this was a one off. You got to consider this is basically the fast food, greasy Chinese genre when rating. I've been to better, but I've definitly been to worse. I will say the lunch portions, appetizers and sides are dirt cheap so it works for something quick on the go. It wasn't bad and I would try another meal from here to see if I get wowed. For now, it's just pretty average.

Do NOT consult Google when looking for this place. It'll lead you somewhere 3 miles away. I found out the hard way. OK, now that that's out of the way..The Chinese food here is..well..not really Chinese food. I'm pretty sure you got that from the name of this place, but just in case you were wondering this is a Americanized Chinese place, which is fine. I love me some fake Chinese food from time to time. OK, more like every other day, but don't tell my family! Rice Pot has a condensed menu compared to other like restaurants, but they have everything you'll ever consider ordering. Come on now..I've never seen anyone order dishes like "Happy Family." Really don't know why other restaurants insist of keeping items like that on their menu. My go to dish is the Sesame Chicken. There's not much batter so you actually taste the chicken. What a concept. I'm getting sick and tired of these so-called Chinese restaurants messing my favorite dish up by using more batter than the chicken itself. No es frio, yo. If you dine in during lunch hours (11am-3pm) you get a buck off your order of Sesame Chicken ($5), Chicken Lo Mein ($5) or Hunan Beef ($6). You would think at this price that they would jip you on the food, but that's not the case. I believe this is a family run business. Everyone behind the counter seemed so friendly to each other and they were very welcoming to me when I walked in. There are a lot of these type of "Chinese" restaurants in Lewisville, but this is the best one in my opinion. With the quality of food at the price there's really no competition.

Good chinese food. This area was lacking a decent place other than Panda Express - this is it. Can;t beat the lunch special - $4.99 - $5.99 includes rice, large entree, and spring roll. WHAT?? Crazy. The side of fried rice that comes with the entree is kind of pathetic, for fried rice - tiny bits of egg and a sliver of onion is all I ever find. I'm sure the entree size fried rice is full of stuff, but expect disappointment if you get it as a side. General Tso's is done well. The Sesame Chicken and Orange Peel Chicken were both on the sweet side, too much so for my tastes. Kung Pao is good, and SPICY. Mongolian wasn't too bad, but too much veggies compared to the ratio of beef. Pretty typical of that dish though. geez, can you tell I eat here too much?

I loved it. You get what you pay for. I ordered honey sesame chicken lunch meal. Good flavor, good price, fast service. Eggroll was flavorless. Greeted by a man and woman upon restaurant entry. Man was pleasant, woman terse and rude.

The food here is great. The cost for the amount you get is pretty good. They also had my order ready within a reasonable amount of time.

The waiter forgot our order of fried rice, even saw him repeat it back to us and wrote it down. The fried tofu, shrimp spring rolls, and Thai tea were good. The service was attentive, and polite. The roof leaks, they have had to clear out several tables in the middle of the restaurant to address the leaks into buckets. Although I asked for medium spice, all of the food was mild. The red chicken curry was ok, but reminded me of Indian dishes more than Thai. The decorum of the place was run down a bit, appears there was little renovation from when they were "Yummy" Thai. However, I am pleased they changed the name because it was far from yummy. People in Flower Mound have a very warped sense of what excellent Thai food actually tastes like, and Yummy Thai was not it, sadly Maha Thai isn't either. This location has the exact same problem that Chillicious Thai has in Flower Mound. Once owners changed, chefs changed, and everything now has an Indian (from India) flavoring to nearly every dish, it stopped being Thai. If you've had Indian food and Thai food, you'd know the difference. Just because you're from India and you believe you "know" curry - which you likely do, does not mean you're ready to then cook Thai food. The menu looked nice, but the food did not appear as advertised, especially the Khao Man Gai, aka hainanese chicken. It is very unlikely we will be back.

When I continued to plead my case to the cashier, she asked the owner who also refused to accept the Ad Pages App coupon.
