Once there, I practically walked in to the exam room (didn't even have time to sit in the waiting room before we were taken back!) The tech was very patient and sympathetic, even though the pup was upset, showing his aggressive side to strangers, as he does. She went about her business on the computer, all the while speaking to him in a very calm way (but not making eye contact, as that is a sign of aggression): "I know! Who are the strange people? Just tell me about it!" In just a few minutes, she was able to entice him to the lab with a treat! The Dr was very attentive and thorough, and had made a diagnosis after a few minutes of examination. (Apparently the tech was also looking at the specimen. Two eyes are better than one!) Crisis averted, I was able to check out IN the same exam room--what a relief to avoid corralling a loud and hyper pup while trying to receive instructions on his meds and paying! Incidentally, he had eaten something he shouldn't have, and is just fine now. And I am so glad to know that there is a wonderful, competent and friendly veterinary only 10 minutes from home, just in case of emergency!

As other reviewers state, they are rather expensive, but I have great pet insurance and I am a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" so I never shopped around for a cheaper place since I was happy with their care. Always had a good experience with them until recently. I don't know what has happened, but this is my third time in the last year to have an issue getting an appointment. No one ever answers the phone anymore and when I leave (numerous) messages they never get a response. Last time my cat was sick and I called because the course of treatment wasn't working, the receptionist told me a vet tech would call me right back. Never heard a word from them and ended up bringing him to another vet. Not wanting to start over with a new vet I tried calling when it was time for his annual wellbeing check and vaccines. Never got a call back and ended up at another vet again. Today was the last straw. Cat has been vomiting since 11:00pm last night. I called today and left messages twice with no response. I will be taking him elsewhere from now on. Not sure what happened, but if you're thinking about becoming a client of theirs I would think twice. There are still plenty of vets in Beaumont that actually answer their phones and return your call.
