Animal Alliance Of Galveston County - My lost dog

    Animal Alliance Of Galveston County

Animal Alliance Galveston County is absolutely amazing. From the moment we walked in, the entire…read moreteam was compassionate, attentive, and truly caring. They took excellent care of my dog, Hazel, who came in with a skin rash/irritation, and within just two days she is already looking so much better. They got her all up to par, provided great medicated shampoo, and made sure she left with everything she needed. I also received flea, heartworm, and tick medication, which gave me total peace of mind knowing she's protected and on the right track. Hazel was a little extra excited in the lobby because she couldn't wait to see the other dogs, but the staff was incredibly patient, understanding, and kind about it -- which meant a lot to me. You can truly tell they care deeply about the animals and their well-being. A special shout-out to the gentleman in the back -- he is phenomenal. Knowledgeable, kind, and clearly passionate about what he does. I am beyond grateful for the care Hazel received and would highly recommend Animal Alliance Galveston County to anyone looking for compassionate, trustworthy animal care. Thank you all so much!

December 20, 2023…read more Got here at 235p for a 3p appt... it's 338pm, and we're still waiting. got in at 345p. ALMOST every employee came to see 1 of my 2 cats; PurrC-Percy was the center of attention for 20 minutes!! he's a big boy...24lbs very soft and mellow kitty, so everyone was petting him, and there was lots of noise and movement in and out. but, meanwhile, in his carrier, was my nervous 10lb boy, Rufus. The longer this was taking, the more upset he got. he eventually started, growling and hissing. I held him, but those 20 minutes put him over the edge. by the time he got on exam...tech had to cover him in a towel. vet got 1 shot, and Rufus went Kujo-Kitty! he started screaming... got up and out of that towel soo fast, FLEW OFF the exam table and back into his carrier. he charged the opening of his carrier as it was being closed...hissing. it was very traumatic for him; he should have been first, but the tech had gotten Percy to the exam table first. so not only did I wait an hour to be seen...1 cat didn't complete his exam. im not going back to this clinic, it's just too busy.

I didn't want one pet, but my dad and daughter seem to run the show. Our second Dog Indy, fairly new to the family less than a year old, but growing massively was hit by a car. Our local clinic said they were not equipped for the surgery he required. When I saw the Xrays my heart broke. WVC quoted us half what other animal hospitals quoted. WE (mostly my dad) have been driving back and forth from Houston to Grove, TX. Every few days to re-dress his bandages and to remove his stitches. Today he's back to his old habits of jumping on me when I ask him not to. My daughter can now stop terrorizing our older dog and wrestle with Indy once again. I'm thankful to the doctor for making our doggie whole again. *I expect to see his bionic powers soon.* Grateful to the staff for being so friendly to us and our fur baby.

Dr skinner never ran any test or blood work just started her on chemo, went back in for a two week check up. Still no test, xray, or blood work. Went to get a second opinion found out the chemo was doing sever damage to her liver and absolutely nothing to the lymphoma. which could've been prevented by Doing bloodwork. She then passed at the animal house due to her liver completely shutting down along with other organs. The two amazing doctors at the animal hospital even said that all the damage to her organs could've been prevented. Never will I be bring any other animal to them nor will I ever recommend them.

I have a pug so her breathing becomes exasperated from too much stimulation. After 40 minutes and seeing the vet walk into the room of another patient that came in 30 minutes after us, I went and asked one of the ladies behind the counter to let everyone know that we couldn't wait any longer and that we needed to leave. Our first appointment was at 2:00 for the first dog and then the other two were immediately following so we couldn't understand why we weren't being seen. I ended up leaving my other dog with my friend and her dog and immediately left to get my girl home so she could come down from the heavy panting. The staff made her wait another 15 minutes and then charge us for blood work and never even came back to us with the results. Total disappointment. I thought all the rumors about how bad the service is were going to be debunked in this visit however, Galveston Veterinary Clinic really lived up to the negative reviews. I will say that if you are a regular patient there, you do seem to get preferential treatment, so there's that.
